AWESOME ARGENTINE TANGO WORKSHOP!!

signed up a mth ago for the Argentine Tango workshop
today and the Broadway Jazz workshop next wk at The
Esplanade..

the series of dance workshops these few wks were
organised by The Esplanade as part of a prelude to the
Da:ns Festival (www.dansfestival.com)

in comparison to the blues workshop that i went to not
too long ago... the guys that attended this workshop
were really good leads despite the fact that this was the
first time they were doing the tango or even dancing for
that matter... i was really impressed and this made the
session very enjoyable... And the teacher played my
fav tango song Por Una Cabeza! weet

there was this malay or eurasian guy that left quite an
impression bcos when we danced i could totally feel the
dance chemistry even though we were dancing the
routine together for the first time... i guess the fact
that he did latin b4 prob allowed him to be a smoother
lead

for the first time i actually "feel" the dance rather than
jus trying to think about what is the next step and next
and next next..

the feeling was totally awesome :D it felt like we were
the only ones on the dance floor... i m still waiting to
bum into someone like that in my dance classes.. so
far i haven encountered one yet... except for J1 during
salsa days...

this is oso one of the reason why i aint thinking of
competing yet... another reason is most ppl join dance
classes with a partner... so by default thats their
competition dance partner...

bum into 2 of my chacha mates at the workshop and
they asked why aint i competing... told them the above
reasons... they told me i can join the solo category...
omg lah... my brain has alot of holes and i have damn
short term memory... how to expect me to remember
and execute the moves by myself... i will surely look like
a clown can :p i will wait! m sure i will find someone with
dance chemistry soon....

i have decided to sign up for the samba workshop too...
hope there are still tickets... 10 Oct (Sat), 11am.. $13
