BLUES WEEKEND!

the 4.5hrs of blues workshop was simply awesome!! not to
mention that the teacher is HOT and CHARISMATIC :D

the dance is pretty slow and to some extent quite sensual

it is def not as strict like latin... more enjoyable cos it is
really up to you to groove.. and it really tests the follower
to the max... cos all the gal has to do is to move along with
the guy... not much funny patterns, many spins or alot of
styling

come to think of it... chacha technique class is quite a hell
it is definitely mentally and physically draining... i m so
gonna die tmr... cant remember half of the sequence the
teacher taught last wk... cos i still dun get the picture of
how all the footwork she taught fit into the dance.. it seems
like everything she demoed was in super slow motion and
broken down into many pieces... as a result too many
pieces to rem and it doesnt help that i have a brain with
many holes...limited memory space...

anyway, at the class was this guy who was quite stiff and
rough and he doesnt dance very well... i think my arms
almost got dislodged from my shoulder when he tried to
teach me abt arm tension.. hellooo... i have been dancing
for a some time can... and his idea of tension is to pull and
push really hard... could see sweat drops forming on my
instructor's forehead when that guy tried to "teach" me...
cos he was literally trying to pull my arms off....and the
most no etiquette thing he said in my face was... "you are
very hard to lead"...

i jus smiled.... in actual fact he was a bad lead... my gal
frens who were there testified... and all the gals who danced
with him ALWAYS end up stumbling and tripping... (-_-lll but
like teacher say... watever happens.. ladies.. SMILE.. so i
jus smile... and hope that the teacher would say "change
partner" soon

there were 1-2 better ones.. the rest were pretty alright...
i mean it was everyone's first time anyway... but that guy
really thot he was very good :p

oh oh there was this guy who looks like the younger version
of my ex director... even the voice sounded alike! it felt abit
weird... its like as if i was dancing with my ex director :p

anyway there is a blues/swing/balboa party tmr 8.30pm at
LOVE THE WORLD pub at Singapore Flyer... i will be there so
if you all have nothing to do... come chill with me!
