Bloated And Floating
You know when you have a good mix-n-match-y shirt? It goes with a few things and looks quite nice. Then one day, you team it for the first time with an outfit (in this case, a suit) you haven't had too long and the two things look as though they were made for each other? Yeah, even with two buttons missing on the shirt. (You can't easily tell because the shirt is pretty dark where the buttons are missing, unless the edges should gape open, and a dark T-shirt on underneath preserves one's modesty.) I looked, dare I say it, sharp today. Still fat, unfortunately, but oh-so-co-ordinated. Very pleasing. There was definite preening in the bathroom mirror.
In other news, that prat of a postie left my Amazon parcel outside the door again. First time I've ordered a book since the last book-in-rain débâcle! Fortunately the rain of the morning had been replaced with glorious sunshine. I even went for a walk for the first time since I don't know when. As for the parcel, I am a little perturbed that out of the two I am expecting, it is the second one which was dispatched this week, not the first. I am hoping the first parcel will still make its way to my door unscathed...
