Not Very Bright At All
I think today was the first day I really started to appreciate that the days are getting much shorter. OK, the skies being overcast doesn't help, but everything just seemed darker. Yuck.
Thanks to not rallying fast enough after the previous Geeke Weekend's debauchery, the weekend just gone saw me put enough weight to make a net gain of 6.5lb over the last fortnight. Gaaaahhhh! Fortunately I've lost 3lb of that since then, but because those last few pounds have been so hard to lose over the last three months or so, I anticipate a bit of a struggle with the next three. (And a bit.)
Stupid food. I wish I didn't love it so much. I really want to start 2010 lighter than I was at the same time in 2009, but I'm really going to have to work hard as if I can do that much damage in two weekends, things are not going to be pretty once I start taking the bulk of my annual leave between October and December...
The recent rain has no doubt done Frankenlawn (see comments in previous entry) a world of good, but the border fan is a lovely mess, now that the neat pile of remaining sand we accumulated has been splooshed everywhere. Oh, well - it wasn't going anywhere as I haven't anything to put it in yet and of course I need to get rid of the other bags in careful instalments because they weigh a ton. We have pretty good and obliging dustmen, so I don't want to abuse them too much.

GH: Metallica Update
The good news: After my previous abject failure, I have managed to get all the way through Dyers Eve at medium level and achieved a quite respectable 72%. (Cue much shrieking and sweatiness.)
The bad news: In my excitement, I turned the Wii off before saving my latest achievements. D'oh! Oh, well. I have done it once. I can do it again. |
