Square-Eyed Goings-On
Had a good geeky weekend with H, Simon and Helen during which I hope was something for everyone: pizza, dreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeenk, drunk GH: Metallica jamming (I have to say that Helen grasped the different drum changes rather better than I did!), the whole of True Blood S1 (slow start but it grew on everyone), Pan's Labyrinth, barbie (soss, burgers, jacket potatoes, salad, garlic bread), Iron Man, Supernatural, cricket (with England winning the Ashes), Firefly, strawberries (provided by Helen) and ice-cream, Futurama... The weather was glorious. We even went outside and walked in it for a little while before deciding that it could stay there and we'd go back in, hur. Hope you guys had a good time.
In other news, I have done very little today bar the weekly shop and there are way too many tempting things in the fridge. Also, today and this coming Friday afternoon off in lieu means a three-and-a-half-day week this week followed by a four-day week, thanks to the August Bank Holiday next Monday. Sweet! |
