    Set Me Free
Recently, I've been reintroducing lots of fruit to my diet in a bid to increase my energy levels (I eat lots of veggies, but hardly any fruit, and the walks after work have long gone to pot due to all the rain) and although I haven't been as virtuous on the calorie-counting as I can be (stupid delicious Brie), today I finally got back to my best weight-loss level so far this year. Which was initially achieved in May, before the WD party.

This is what's so frustrating about my love-hate relationship with food. I get to a certain point, then something always happens. Social events, annual leave, weekends away, times of the month, family fuckwittery, feeling low, boredom - any excuse to be a pig. Then I knuckle down and start losing the pounds again, but only to a point. I've been a pound, half a pound from that best weight many times since May. But this is the first time I've actually reached it since then! And I figure I've only got a month or two before the dark nights make me go into hibernatory mode when the comfort eating tends to increase so I really need to get as much as possible lost before then so I have a good starting-point.

In a way, it's probably a good thing that Abrams Inc was cancelled as that was going to happen this weekend and I would of course have stuffed myself and got cheerfully drunk three nights running. I shall take it as a Sign and try to behave myself accordingly. (Well, a bit.) Let's see if I can finally lose some new pounds for a change!

The True Blood obsession continues. I have S2 eps 1-7, and having watched the first two eps on Tuesday, watched them again with H on Wednesday as he had to catch up on the last two S1 eps first. I have to say that the final scene in ep 1 was pretty mindblowing. H was like, "Whooaaaaa! Let's watch the next one right now!" even though it was nigh-on bedtime for both of us. So we did, heehee. He's as addicted as I am. Hoping to squish in at least one more ep tonight before he goes to band...

When I play GH: Metallica, I keep the kick pedal in between the legs of the drum kit. However, having seen a) various drummers and b) a guy doing GHM Expert level+ with the drum kit visible, it has occurred to me that I should be keeping my legs apart (hee, that sounded dirty!), so have now placed the pedal outside the right leg of the drum kit. Of course my legs are not enjoying this new position at all. They got a bit cramped up. I guess it's like learning to ride a horse, having to train the muscles to accept unfamiliar positions. Couldn't better my 97% on Dyers Eve as a result, but have jumped from 69% to 81% for Enter Sandman at Medium level, even though some of the combinations had me flailing around like a twat. Oh, well. More practice required. But now some more of Teh Crack before I go to bed.

In other news, it's awfully muggy around here. Phewwww.

Current Music: 'Moonlight' Sonata: III. Presto Agitato - Beethoven
