i got a response from my previous update from my pal Tiffany asking what i've been doing lately, so i figured it was about time for a brief update of my new year. it'll start out slow, but it gets better trust me... please keep your arms in the car at all times and enjoy the ride.

    JANUARY

23- after months of declining health, my beloved cat Mikey was put to sleep. he was three months shy of his 16th birthday.

31- i visited Mikey's grave for the first time at my father's house in Noblesville. my dad built him a pretty nice coffin. i'm sure he's resting in peace.

    FEBUARY

3- i drove down to Evansville and went to Ginnys Place that night. i'm not sure what i sang or who i saw. it was a couple of months ago.

4- i dropped down to Owensboro and chatted with Sherry at Hobby Lobby. she was at work. she had recently started seeing someone and didn't want to do the long distance thing. i haven't heard much from her since. that night was spring passover so i spent some time at the house and at Blaire's hanging out and drinking.

9- i met up with my friend Deanna at the Vogue for the Here Come the Mummies concert. they were good, but their music was too positive for me. i'm also not much of a dancer so it wasn't too much fun. i actually lost interest halfway through. it was good music though and the costumes were a classic.

11- i took a class at IUPUI in web design. honestly didn't learn much. i still don't have a web site. i learned that if i buy a multi-hundred dollar program it will make one for me easily. weeee. that was worth my time and money on a Saturday.

18- i had my first starring role in a film other than one of mine. i was cast as Tom Cruise in Big Ass War, a spoof of War of the Worlds. it was a lot of fun running around from fake aliens and skeletons in Broad Ripple in the afternoon when it was freezing outside.

19- finished up filming at Cinema Grill. a fun scene filmed with some annoying kids.

20- saw Sigur Ros at the Murat Theater. they put on a beautiful show, but played mostly new stuff. the opening act was Amina, four girls that play strings on Sigur Ros's albums but are a band in their own name. one girl played a saw with a bow in one song. it was freakin' awesome.

24- went down to Evansville and began production of my latest film, Harry Putter and the Flaming Grail.

    MARCH

8- lacking motivation to work on things, and giving up napping for lent, I returned to Red Lobster part time working Wed, Thurs and Fri nights. of course, this meant that i would be working 12 hours a day three days a week. i'm still doing it. i don't know how.

11- went to the Indiana Ice game with Lisa and her Indy meet up group. we won in a shoot out. it was a good game. afterward, i went to the Beer Sellar for Dallas's farewell party. he was going to Alaska for school. i sang some Linkin Park and Eminem karaoke.

19- production wrapped up in Evansville for Harry Putter 4. it only took four days of filming down in Evansville to finish around 75% of the movie. mad props to the cast for working their asses off.

25- back in Evansville for Fiji's pig dinner. caught up with some of the old guys. good times.

27- i texted a bunch of people when i was down south and i got a phone call from my ex- Sherry Hardy. we talked for about 90 minutes. long in the short of it, she felt bad for what she did to me. but she was the one that left me and married someone else. it was nice to hear from her and catch up on things.

    APRIL

3- spent a couple of days in Evansville house sitting for my dad.

7- back in Evansville for Fiji's hot tub o thon. bad weather ruined the tubbing for awhile, but it didn't dampen anyone's spirits. hail didn't even stop the slip and slide participation.

15- began production in Indianapolis of Harry Putter 4

18- went on a road trip to Milwaukee to see Fall Out Boy, All-American Rejects and Hawthorne Heights. first off, i got pulled over for the first time outside of Morris, IL. i was doing 16 over the limit and got a speeding ticket. Boooo. my map was horrible and i was really late to the show, i missed the first two bands, but got their right when Heights started. i hung out in the concourse because i didn't want to get in people's way to find my seat. they sounded good. the Rejects stole the show. they just belted out song after song to fill their time slot, mostly new stuff. they were awesome. Fall Out Boy dissapointed me. their music was good, but you could tell they're still new to the headlining things. they didn't entertain me in between songs. i stayed at a crappy hotel in North Chicago that night and headed back the next morning.

21- gave away my shift at RL and headed to Louisville for Tarr's bachelor party. we stayed at the Caesar's hotel. it was really nice but pricy as hell. we took cabs to 4th street live and went bar hopping. we spent most of the time at Howl at the Moon. damn was our server and bartender good looking, especially when they danced on the piano to Pour Some Sugar On Me. a fun night out with the guys. there were 14 of us to start things off.

22- a terrible tragedy hit our party on Saturday. we were in the limo halfway to the Makers Mark factory. we stopped at a rest stop when Brennan got the phone call that his father had passed away this morning. it was a very sad moment. we turned around and made arrangements for him to get to Evansville to be with his family. we tried to have fun with the remainder of our limo time. we went to some winery instead and then just drove around. we had dinner at one of the restuarants at the casino and then went on board to gamble. i lost $15 and then crashed for the night. i was tired. woke up, ate brunch and headed home the next morning.

24- drove up to Fort Wayne after work and saw Dashboard Confessional and the Secret Machines. DC was incredible. they put on an awesome show. they played all my favorite songs to wrap the show and in the encore. i left in a great mood.

25- froze my gym membership due to lack of time and a normal schedule.

    30- updated my journal.

    2005 Part 2
well, it's New Year's Eve and I need to finish off my 2005 update. first off, I've decided not to ring in the new year this year. Writing a different number on the end of my checks is no big deal. here's October through December....

    OCTOBER

2- Alan Lashbrook, the make up guy for To Haunt You, attempted to make a body cast of my torso for a nightmare scene where I get a tongue pierced through my throat. Unfortunately, the cast fell apart and didn't work. Try having your entire torso covered in plaster for over three hours with holes only for your nostrils to breathe. And then try peeling that shit from your body hair. Ouch!

6- went down to Evansville for the night. It felt weird cause I went to Ginny's Place with the Fijis and I went to school with like maybe 5 of the whole table there. It was a fun time. Karaoke night. I think I sang Mr. Brightside by the Killers and Holiday by Green Day. Coy Danks from Red Lobster was also there. good times.

7- the reason for my trip down south. I went to visit Sherry Trivett, a girl I had met through Yahoo Personals when I still lived down there. She lives in Owensboro. I sometimes kick myself for moving because we started talking again a lot after she graduated from college in May. I was waiting for the movie to be over, but I found a weekend that worked out. we just hung out at her apartment. her room mate was there most of the time, but we watched movies, played board games and ate Little Ceasar's pizza. Remember that? they still have it down there. sadly, I haven't heard much from her in the past month or two. I had a real good time with her though. I'd like to think that a relationship could work between us because she's pretty outgoing and has lots of friends she likes to go out with and i'm pretty introverted and like to spend time alone to write. we'll see if i hear from her.

13- a fun evening. i met actress Dakota Fanning at a movie premiere of Dreamer: Based on a true story. She was really nice, fun, cute, all the stuff you can see from interviews with her. I told her that i liked her performance in Hide and Seek and she thanked me, etc. The film was shown downtown at the IMAX as the opening event of the Heartland Film Festival. an expensive ticket, plus i bought a candid photo of Dakota off of Ebay to get signed, but it was all worth it. great movie too. i actually went and saw it again with Lisa for her birthday.

16- a rare day. i went undefeated in our weekly football pool at home. got every game right. a first and probably a last.

17- my first Monday Night Football game as the Colts played the Rams. I went with Mom, Ryan, Ray, Desirae, and Ray's sister BJ came up from Louisville. it was a fun night even though the Colts were down by like 20 points at the start. they came back and kicked ass. and it was a fun trek walking from the Channel 13 parking lot to the dome before and after the game.

18- i auditioned for an added scene to the film Death of a Barefoot Tourguide, directed by my brother's friend Garrett Crowe. I also auditioned for their other film, Big Ass War, a spoof of War of the Worlds.

22- sad day. after doing some research, I learned that my hamster Sonny suffered a stroke. he shook around rapidly, struggled to walk and eventually began favoring his front legs only. i said my goodbyes to him when i went to bed, but he was still hanging tough in the morning.

25- the symptoms had vanished, but today Sonny had another apparent stroke, repeating his behaviors from Saturday night.

    NOVEMBER

5- At 1:55pm with me petting his back, Sonny passed away. We buried him in the back yard beside Peewee and I played his requiem on a stereo, Sonny by New Found Glory. he is greatly missed and was a great friend during rough times for me. i'm just glad he waited for a day that i was home and could be there with him.

6- if Sonny's passing was bad enough, this morning an F3 tornado struck Evansville and Newburgh at 2:30am. It destroyed the trailer park down the street from my old apartment, killing 20some people. One of those people, my friend Becca Duncan's aunt. I sent her flowers. Ellis Park, the race track across the river, which I visited a few times a month for off track racing was also severely damaged. i got permission that day at work to have my cell phone on as i frantically texted friends in the area to make sure they were alright.

That night I began orientation for Buffalo Wild Wings in Carmel. I went in on Nov. 2 after work and got hired on the spot. Orientation was insane and I wouldn't last long at that location. it was set up more like a restaurant than a sport's bar. i didn't want that and i wasn't making any money.

13- BWW opened in Carmel. I didn't have to work on opening day. Huh?

16- i became the first employee at the BWW in Carmel to go on vacation. yay! we went to Seattle, Washington to visit Jeff for Jeffy's 1st birthday. it was me, mom and dad. on the way out there i found my latest pleasure, Sudoku puzzles. i'm addicted. like heroin, only worse. i'm always doing a puzzle. they're fun cause it involves numbers without actual math. i also had a cinnabun in Chicago. yay. we arrived and chilled at the hotel before going to the community center for the party. it was fun. Jeffy's a riot and we met their family and everything.

17- went downtown Seattle for the day. i like Pike's Peak Market place. i went to the fish place we saw in a training video for BWW. it was funny. Jeff and family met up with us for the Aquarium and then they left. we went up the Space Needle. nice view of the city. came back to the hotel and watched Lost and crashed. Seattle's street system is stupid. i'll NEVER drive in that city. The highlight of the trip had to of been dinner that night. Bob's Burgers! 99 cent burgers and teriyaki chicken and rice. (drools) i'd fly back just for that.

18- we went to a nature reserve place i saw a brocheure for near Mt. Rainier. it was cool. we took a bus ride through this place and saw bison, deer, elk, mountain goats, etc. all up close and personal. they also had some other animals in another exhibition- wolves, bears, etc. it was a cool park. i picked good. Jeff and family brought dinner over to the hotel and we ate and played with Jeffy.

19- we flew home. had a good lunch. fish and chips with salmon instead of generic white fish we get here. bought a Seahawks shot glass and then a Broncos one during our stop in Denver. got home late and crashed.

21- received the email that i got cast in the Tourguide scene.

28- today was my first night at the BWW in Castleton. i followed because it was a monday night Colts game and busier than hell. I like the place because i work Monday through Friday lunches only. nice.

30- had rehearsal for the tourguide scene. it should be fun because i know everyone involved. my fellow actors were Ryan Walsh and Jason Smither.

    DECEMBER

3- UE beat Purdue! Holy crap!

4- filmed the Tour Guide scene. it was a long 8 hour shoot, but a lot of fun with a nice lunch break in the middle. we talked a lot about Skeletor from He-man for some reason. it had something to do with the fact that he had no eyes and therefore wouldn't need makeup.

12- after a year and a half or so delay, editing began on my third installment of Harry Putter.

17- went to the State Museum for the Lord of the Rings exhibit. It was awesome except for the fact that there were LOTS of people crammed in the room. it was cool though seeing original props and costumes from the film though. that night was Joy's get together at the Beer Sellar before she moved to Bloomington. fun time. i had way too much to drink though.

20- i had a date. GASP! i went to Christmas at the Zoo with a girl named Toni from Brownsburg. we met through Yahoo Personals. it was a fun date, seeing the lights, a crappy laser light show, and of course all the aminals. it was funny cause little kids would push her out of the way. she's only 4'11. i'm not for pushing little kids at a zoo, but i would've. we had a fun time, but i haven't heard much from her since. maybe cause of the holidays. i'd like to see her again though.

24- went to dad's and celebrated christmas with dad and betty. ate pizza and watched colts.

25- christmas with mom. it felt like a Sunday with presents and turkey.

27-29- i stayed at Dad's house and housesitted while they went to TN to visit relatives. Mikey my cat is old. he was like a little kid, waking me up daily at 6am to be entertained or to go outside. it was nice to have some time alone for awhile. i guess i know what the future will be like now.

31- that's today's date. don't have much planned. get some stuff done. going out to dinner. i got invited to a new years party. i'll probably call later to politely decline the invite. i'll say i have other plans. i just don't feel like doing much tonight. well, that was 2005 in a nutshell. what will the new year hold? who knows? it's just another year ending in 6.

    an update of my 2005
wow. i've got a lot of updating to do. maybe i'll just start with May and work my way 'til now. hang on for the rough ride. this ain't gonna be no Mr. Toad.

Well, I lied already. I have to mention something from April. D'oh!

19th- I began a crappy day job with CTB/McGraw Hill through Kelly Services. I got paid $10.50 an hour to, umm, well, i don't know what the hell I really did. I sat in a cubicle and graded high school standardized tests. Each student had three responses that were one paragraph long. I ranked them 0-4 based on a scale provided for me. I would do like 250 students a day, multiply that by the three essays, so I read like 750 short answer paragraphs a day. What can I say? The job sucked. I did get two breaks and a lunch, so I got two rough drafts of scripts finished. That was one of the only good things about it. Remember Poodle Pet and the older guy that wouldn't shut up. I forget his name. Fun times. Not really.

30th- Burkes and Teresa, two people I worked with at the Red Lobster in Evansvile, got married. I was the videographer and one of the few white people there. It was an alright time and a good experience for the business side of things.

    MAY

2- I received a phone call from Jackie. She was a girl I met through Yahoo personals when I still lived down south. She was from KY. We had recently begun to email each other again. Shortly after, she started seeing someone and stopped talking to me again.

3- I took a class through IUPUI in Children's Literature. It wasn't covered at UE and it was something I attempted in one of my short story classes. I was the only young person in the class and the only guy. It was fun though and I learned quite a bit about the industry in case I want to try it. We also learned about agents, publishing, other things you would think they would teach at UE. The class met at Glendale mall on Tuesday nights for four weeks. Fun times.

5- I got suckered into joining a sand volleyball team for the summer by Ryan Wininger, one of my Fiji brothers. We finished 0-10 for the season and drank a lot of beer in the process. Our problem was that every week we had a different foursome of players. Therefore, we never got the rhythm down and what not. It was a lot of fun though. I also learned about the 86th Street Pub which was nearby.

16- I joined a gym. Eclipse Fitness was a new place right off 116th and Keystone. Nice equipment and locker rooms and rarely crowded. I went in the morning before sitting in my cubicle, sometimes I went late at night. Now, I don't go that often. I'm always trying to get back in the groove of it. The ellipticals are nice though and each cardio machine has its own TV. Good deal.

28- Big A and Julie got married in Evansville. I again videotaped everything, getting paid this time. It was a nice ceremony and reception, but afterward I had to book it home for pre-race festivities.

29- INDY 500. i find it funny that Dan Wheldon was the last name picked in our pool. I had Sebastian Bourdais and Vitor Meira and someone else that did nothing. This year was weird because the night before I hung out with the kids more than the adults. They were going through the game cabinet as always and they pulled out Monopoly. I'm a sucker for that game and I hadn't played in awhile. It was a fun night. Jennifer and Nick were over for awhile and Rod from next door stopped by. The race was good, the weather was nice and I can't wait for next year.

    JUNE

11- I returned to the Evansville area for the wedding of Andrea Rhinefort, a friend of mine from college. She was my date to my senior Purple Garter formal. Again, a nice ceremony and reception in Henderson, KY and I videotaped it. I'm finshing up the tape now. I know, I'm horrible. I stopped at Red Lobster afterward and I visited with Ashli and Anzlee. I went out to Old Chicago, a new place off the Lloyd by Wal-mart. Had some drinks, got a flat tire at some point, got it fixed at Wal-mart the next morning and headed home.

12- I was saddened by an email to hear that R.C. Miller passed away. He was an older Evansville area Fiji that was pretty active with the chapter. I had also seen him at Red Lobster shortly before I moved.

13- Struck by the acting bug. After responding to ad an in Nuvo and an audition, I was cast as Jason in Liberty or Death Productions' supernatural horror movie To Haunt You. I played the protagonist's boyfriend, the bottom character on the main card.

25- I went on a date. (GASP!) It was with a girl named Jayma I had met on Yahoo Personals. Nice girl, really cute, but we just didn't click. She was a bit on the religious side for me. Nothing against religion, but I'm not overly so. I don't go to church, but just live by good principles. We had dinner at Applebees. I did get a second date from her and we do still occaisonally email. She's seeing someone now. We also had a garage sale at our house. It was my attempt to organize a neighborhood sale. Out of all the freakin' houses in the neighborhood there were 4 that had sales that day. Jennifer and Ray brought some stuff over to sell. I bought a stuffed pink elephant, ah Bad Santa.

29- Obsessed with the washers game I played with in Evansville, I bought materials and Dad and I built my own set.

    JULY

2- I held a cook out for the fourth. It was a low turnout, but I did some catching up with old friends from high school. Josh Blazier, Paul Whitaker and Kirby Jackson and his g/f were the only ones that showed up. The washers game made its debut.

5- I quit that crappy day job I talked about and went back to Red Lobster full time.

8- Saddened by another email. Lyle Kinder passed away. He was a loyal guest to the Red Lobster in Eville. I heard he had gone in there like every day for ten years with his wife. Real nice guy. I saw him last at the wedding in April. He did the still photography.

13- We had a read through for the horror movie. The cast and crew looks fun to work with. Too bad we had numerous delays and crap (re-casting, blah blah blah). Let's just say, as I write this, we still aren't done. 95%, but still not done.

16- Jennifer and Nick's wedding. I was really hung over from the night before, but I videotaped the reception for them. I lost my new camera's lens cap. I know exactly where I left it too. Grrrrr.

17- My second date with Jayma was today. We went and saw Better Than Ezra at the Vogue. It was a fun time. I was proud of myself for only drinking one beer. I hadn't heard their new album at the time, so it was one of those shows.

22- I saw the Killers at the Murat theater. I went by myself and they put on a killer show (no pun intended). I got a little misty eyed during Smile Like You Mean It.

23- Production begins for To Haunt You. Not just an actor, I also served as a production assistant.

    AUGUST

2- After about a two point five hour wait, I met actor Bruce Campbell at Key Cinemas. He was promoting a new book and movie.

10- I went to the State Fair, hell I went three times this year. This time was for work. We filmed a date scene for the movie. It was fun except that I was there as my character and kinda an ass. Yeah, I had fun doing that.

12- I went back to the fair with mom. Saw the aminals and what not. Then the reason I went- a free Herman's Hermits concert. Afterward, I met Peter Noone. It was an AWESOME show. For an oldies group, they really entertained me.

13- I ran into a few people I knew from high school at Nippers. Tina Ziegler was a friend of mine from yearbook classes. She didn't recognize me. Sarah Collins was a girl I had interviewed before for the yearbook that I had a crush on. She recognized me. She's married now.

16- Went back to the state fair and listened to the Switchfoot concert. I wasn't gonna pay to see them. It was like $30 some bucks. Their show was alright. I sat on the same bench for about two hours and watched people. It's funny the number of times you see the same people walking back and forth. where are they going? I played a game where I broke beer bottles with baseballs and won Greeny, a big green stuffed monkey. Later that night, I met Deanna Stevens, a girl I talked to on Yahoo Personals. We were actually friends in middle school.

30- April gave birth to her second boy, Landon Morgan Lee. Went to the hospital to welcome him to this kwazy world.

    SEPTEMBER

3- Ah, yes. MUCK FEXICO! The mega-go trip. Myself, Blake, Kyle, Riley and Karl treked to Columbus, OH for the USA/Mexico world cup qualifier soccer game. We got into town around noon and started drinking at 12:02. We tailgated before the game drinking from a huge multi-gallon storage container of punch. And we won 2-0! It was an awesome day. Hung over as hell, the trip home was not very awesome. Probably the highlight of my summer.
A great way to end it.

12- Saw Green Day in concert with mom. It was a great show, but so similar to the one I had just seen in Louisville. Still incredible though. Jimmy Eat World opened and they just flew right into a kick ass set. From one song to another with no talk in between. Awesome performance.

Man, I've spent a lot of time doing this. Just remember that I'm ready to start on October. I'll finish some other time.

UE vs. Purdue tonight. Go Purple Aces!

    8:23 pm
    week end
it was nice to go back to evansville for the first time since i moved. i had a great time. here's what i did....

THURSDAY- i went to red lobster for dinner. vikki waited on me. i talked to a bunch of people and what not, gave some people photos from my farewell show. then i went to jenn smith's house and hung out for awhile. she had a head ache so i entertained zander while she took a nap. we played superman and spiderman video games. my night ended up at lamascos where i hung out with sparky and some of the other regulars. sledge was there for a brief moment. i did some karaoke. i know i sang, "by the way" chilli peppers, and "float on" modest mouse. josh k showed up later on and we sang "summer nights." it was the peanut carnage reunion tour 2005. one night only. one song only. fun times. i headed toward the fiji house around 3:30am and called it a night.

FRIDAY- the sun woke me up early so i decided to go to burger king to get one of those bigass omelet samiches. the burger king i knew of was gone. i went to swifty to fill up my gas tank and the guy there filled it for me. i'm like, what the hell are you doing? don't talk to me! go away! i can do this myself. i went back to the fiji house and watched tv in the lobby all morning. around noonish, i went to UNION with ty-ty. he bought me a meal. i got all excited when i saw someone on campus that i went to school with. i ended up hanging with a bunch of the fijis that came and went. rance started a food fight with the girls at the table next to us. it was funny. i went back to the house and played washers with alex. it's an outdoor game like horseshoes. he took me 4-3 in our series, after i blew a 3-1 lead. d'oh. i showered and went over to blaire's, where i stayed 'til about 8:30. we worked on two kegs that day, grilled out, played washers and just hung out while all the guys started getting in town for the weekend. this day was also our 5 year anniversary of chartering. i got a call from either tiffany or jen and i headed over to h-lot for sunset concert. sugarcult played. free sugarcult concert. how can you go wrong? they weren't as good as when they opened for green day, but they played "memory," "crying," "she's the blade," "stuck in america," "bouncing off the walls," etc. i went back to the house where the guys were cooking the pig in traditionally fiji fashion. it was pretty cool. i swung back at blaire's for about an hour before heading out to a couple of bars. no one was at hog wild, so i just chatted with one of the bar tenders while i had a beer and left. after that, i went to ginnys place. i talked to insane shane and chris the dj. coy, tara and matt were there so i talked to them for awhile, and i chatted with brittany for a bit. i got up and sang "mr. brightside" by the killers. i talked to IHOP andie on the phone for awhile. she was swinging through town, but our schedules conflicted. i then went out to the fox where i met back up with jen and tiffany and a few of their friends. it was good hanging out and catching up. i missed tiffany. her and her dancing bears. i finished up the night back at blaire's where i drank some more (making it a total of about 12 hours of drinking and 5 hamburgers on the grill). i went back to the fiji house to sleep in the basement.

SATURDAY- someone tried to wake me up for "kegs and eggs" at 7am. i said i might swing by. i went back to sleep. i woke up around 10:30, showered and headed back to blaire's. no one was around. the older guys had gone golfing. lil rob was there so i went over to mcdonalds to get us some samiches. i stopped by red lobster again and talked to teresa about her wedding. i'm going to videotape it. lil rob and i ate our samiches on his porch and then headed over to riley. bike race weekend was in full effect. they had a keg on their front porch, washers and beer pong in the front yard. it was a great time. plenty of beer was consumed and we finished second in bike race for the third year in a row. gamewise, i think i went 4-1. i sat on the porch with whitehead and some others during the race. we could see them ride by from there. shortly after the race, we got ready for pig dinner downtown. it was a great ceremony. joe weist was the speaker and he discussed the development of our delta colony at UE. it was a great speech. the dinner was good and it was good to see everyone. i thought people were going to the fox afteward. they changed their minds, but i had gone out there. i talked to tara, who works there now. i went back to blaire's where they were in the process of buying keg number 5 (we had gone through two at riley's). i drank some more and eventually crashed in their basement with the rest of the indy guys around 2:30.

SUNDAY- it was a slow morning. those of us still inttown headed over to BW3s at 11. we ate lunch and watched NASCAR. around 1 people started taking off to catch flights home. i headed out soon after. i stopped at lisa's on the way home, ordered chinese delivery and watched movies. it was fun.

well, that was the weekend. it was nice to have nothing to do but drink and hang out. it took me back. well, time to split.

    so much shtuff.....
it's funny that i last wrote on january 7th because the day after that was a huge one in my life. i have some errands to run, but i'm not ready to leave the house yet, so i'm killing some time by updating.

JAN 8- today i suffered two mental breakdowns. by mental breakdown, i cried uncontrollably for a long period of time and even held a knife in my hand thinking about how much i hated my life during one of them. the second was at a party at a friend's house. i apparently snapped and went off on everyone. i don't remember that much of what happened. i had been drinking and feeling like crap. apparently, it took three people to tackle me on the stairs because i was running up to the kitchen to get a knife to slit my throat. i woke up in my car in front of a house i'd never seen before.

JAN 9- i had had enough. my life was going nowhere in evansville, but sinking further into the rut i had built. i turned in my request to transfer to an indianapolis area red lobster.

JAN 11- i turn in my apartment vacancy form, giving them my one month's notice, that'd i be gone by the end of FEb.

JAN 13- after my ordeal, mom came down to visit. we celebrated christmas. it was a good time.

JAN 25- i felt like crap. it was my day off and spent the whole day in bed. what was only a little virus just wouldn't leave me alone. i was sick for an entire week, having gone to work for two shifts and leaving during one of them to go to the hospital. i was hoping for the flu, but it was only a virus. the said i couldn't go back to work for 3 days, so i spent them in bed. no one called or dropped by to check on me, except people in indianapolis.

JAN 29- i turn in my two weeks notice during a mandatory server meeting at red lobster.

FEB 15- my last day at red lobster.

FEB 22- natasha had her baby in the morning, so while doing final errands, i dropped by to visit her and wally. that night was my farewell karaoke show at hog wild. it was a fucked up time. mom and ray came down to attend (ray videotaped it, sparky was the host). not many people showed up, but i didn't care. i had fun with it, and i was ready to tell everyone good-bye. my song list.... (atleast, this is what i think it was)

    Yesterday Once More- the Carpenters
    Your Love- The Outfield
She Will Be Loved- Maroon 5
    Fat Lip- Sum 41
    Right Now- SR71
    Ocean Avenue- Yellowcard

    The Remedy- Jason Mraz
    The Reason- Hoobastank
The Last Song- All American Rejects

    Stan- Emimem
Here's to the Night- Eve 6
You've Got a Friend- James Taylor
All the Things She Said- T.A.T.U.

FEB 23- i moved to carmel, IN.

MAR 8- job hunt continues. i had two interviews and three job offers today. i ended up turning down the waiting tables job at the Bridgewater Country Club (which would've started Apr. 1), i accepted a temp job with McGraw Hill (staring April 19), and i went to the Red Lobster in Castleton.

MAR 9- i started working at Red Lobster. they were in no hurry to get me rolling.

MAR 24- i make my indy area karaoke debut at Nippers singing By the Way- Red Hot Chilli Peppers

MAR 27- i breathe in a sigh of relief from Easter Weekend at work, but finish the week making a record $650.

APR 10- yesterday was my last day full time at Red Lobster. and a good thing too. just two weeks after my record setting week, i finished this week at only $250. damn spring break and warm weather.

what's in the near future for me.....

APR 12- i'm going to the Indianapolis Ice game with Lisa. We got front row seats next to the bench. sweet!

APR 13- i'm working on getting tickets to the Pacers game with mom to see Reggie play live one last time.

APR 14- i'll be going down to Evansville to visit friends

APR 15- marks the 5 year anniversary of my fraternity's chartering

    APR 16- Fiji Pig Dinner

APR 19- as mentioned above, i start my new job.

well, that's an update. who knows when my next one will be, or where i will be, or what i'll be doing.

    2005 (whoopdeedoo!)
someone responded to my latest entry and said what i talked about was interesting. i found that interesting in itself. so, i said whoopdeedoo, i'll do another entry about how crappy life is.

1 it's 2005, an odd numbered year. i hate odd numbered years. they always suck for me.

    my resolutions for the year....
    1. get in shape (i have run 4 miles so far)
    2. no more beer (i have yet to have a beer)
    3. try to make MY life happy instead of other peoples
    4. stop being so damn nice to everyone

i have yet to celebrate christmas with my family. so far, however, my best friend has received more presents than i have. my best friend is my hamster, sonny.

two of my friends recently moved. that leaves me with two friends, it seems. now, i have old high school friends and what not. i'm talking about people that live in my area that intentionally talk to me and want to spend time with me. there are some people at work i'd consider to be friends, but i don't exist to them outside of work. therefore, they are co-workers.

i wonder if i pissed off a specific group at work the other day (the pot heads). several of these people i'd consider to be friends, but they don't acknowledge my existence outside of work. probably because they're high all the time. i flat out let them know that i feel superior to all of them because i don't do pot.

it's been over a year since my last date. i'm also starting to feel that i'm too good for women too and should stay single forever.

my movie is done, filming atleast. i'm working on updating equipment before i start editing, which could take some time. but all in all, it'll be a better movie.

i've been working lately on getting a book of song lyrics published. it's called I'll Never Start a Band Volume 1. i have all the lyrics finalized. i'm now working on narrative stories about each song. it's kinda like my own behind the music without being a musician.

i purchased my first cell phone ringer tone ever yesterday. Forget My Name by New Found Glory

speaking of New Found Glory, they dominated my music charts for 2004, claiming 3 of the top 5 songs (All Downhill From Here, Truth of My Youth, and I Don't Wanna Know) and took album of the year (Catalyst). atleast i think they took album of the year. it was close between that and Green Day's American Idiot.

i worked 52 hours the week of new years. that sucked. i was stressed out up the wazzoo come my last shift on sunday. i let out A LOT of frustration at work. don't piss me off!

i don't really know what else to talk about right now.

i talked to tiffany tonight on IM. she told me to think of dancing bears cause life was bringing me down. i told her that they were hibernating right now.

i sliced off part of my finger tip tonight cutting chicken for dinner. the chicken tasted good though, so i guess the sacrifice was worth something, i guess. hell, i don't know.

i sent christmas cards to all my aunts and uncles and cousins on my dad's side. i got zero in return. i guess that side of the family doesn't do cards.

planning vacations has started. i'm looking at returning to north myrtle beach in early march, by myself of course. and then going up to canada with a few friends this summer. we were talking vancouver island, but i got a vacation guide in the mail today from nova scotia. it'll probably be cheaper going east coast instead of west coast.

we had like 20some inches of snow in a 48 hour period. it sucked. i think i said something like, give it a week and it'll all be gone. i was right.

i'm starting to yawn. it's time for bed. better pay homage to gorto first.

no more journal. no one cares
if i can figure out how to cancel this journal, i'm going to. as obvioulsy noticed, i just don't write in it anymore, and i honestly don't think anyone cares about my boring life. those few people i talk to, i'll let know what's going on. everyone else, i'll spare you the boredom and lonliness. that's all. -chris

    HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
so, thanksgiving's next week and i haven't updated since halloween. what can i say? i'm a busy person.

first off, the movie's starting to piss me off. we're all just wanting to get it done and scheduling and cast members just aren't working out. we've been so close to getting done but the filming is so far and few in between that we're just getting tired of dealing with it. and thanksgiving next week won't help either. i'm just ready to get it done. hopefully by the week after thanksgiving i'll call it a wrap.

here's an update of what's been going on...

NOV 2- election day. the first time i ever voted. and my vote didn't count worth shit. they need to do away with the electoral college altogether. and we need a third party winner sometime too. that'd be nice. i ate all you can eat shrimp for lunch. falling 5 shy of my record from the previous year. then i went downtown to jon jennings' headquarters for some volunteer work. i called people from a certain district to make sure they voted. it was annoying and i'm sure i annoyed people. that night i went to the executive inn (democrat headquaters) for the victory pary, although it wasn't much of a victory party at all. democrats were just getting their asses kicked everywhere. it was not a pleasant evening. i took lisa out to jojos afterward and bought her a piece of pie. i guess it was a "yay, you're unemployed now because democracy doesn't work" pie. that's enough of election day.

NOV 6- ROAD TRIP! WOOOO! i requested this weekend off two months ago, but had to go to a mandatory meeting at 8am, giving me 5.5 hours (losing 1 hour because of daylight savings time) to drive from one end of the state to the other. maybe if i had taken another route, or maybe if we weren't dumb and lose an hour of daylight. all in all, i missed my cousin jana's wedding, but made it for the reception. i wanted to go to the wedding cause it was held in the family's church, the same one i went to another cousin's wedding in. oh well. the reception was fun. i sat at a table (we had assigned seats) with my cousins jon, jennifer, todd and jill and their spouses. i was the dateless wonder at the table, so i claimed the extra chair as my girlfriend. it was a fun time. they had a free bar too. wooo! good wine, good beer, good alcohol. me likey. after the wedding i followed dad back into town where he led me off to my uncle kim's house. i stayed at jon and leslie's that night. they actually transformed their basement into an apartment for them. it looked really cool. i got attacked by their dog payton. doggie go walkie?

NOV 7- jennifer made lasagna for aunt deb's birthday. it was good. jon and leslie also picked up janell from school, so she was there for dinner. it was a good family dinner. it felt weird. i'm not used to eating with other people, let alone a group of people all at one table. i left that afternoon and drove up to munster to visit jim. i didn't get lost too bad. i got mauled by his dogs too. one was a young big affectionate puppy that made my eye swell up. d'oh. we watched football and the simpsons and my big fat obnoxious boss. he made home made pizza which was really good. we also threw a lot of darts. jim had a picture of george w. bush and his wife on his dart board. weeee! i thought about crashing the night there, but with the dogs around, i really just felt like getting home. so i drove to indy and crashed when i got there.

NOV 8- i met with martha in the afternoon about cafe patachou. it was an informative meeting. she stressed to me the importance of my youth and focusing on my artistic goals, and that the restaurant management industry (in the more upper dining area) was for people that souly wanted to do that. just being in the cafe, i had this uppidty feeling about it. it felt like carmel. (shutters) i went to value village and bought some clothes. i also got a phone call from paul and met up with him and josh at fazolis for some food. we came back to my place and shot the shat for awhile. mom and i ate pizza that night and watched the colts/vikings game

NOV 9- before heading home, mom showed me the new mall they built. weeee! we also went to good will where i bought more clothes and a dual deck vcr. i still haven't even tested that thing to see if it works yet. oh well. it was cheap. i drove home.

    fast forward.....

NOV 13- i was gonna stop at hog wild and have a drink by myself, but then all these people showed up. so, i was there later than i should have and had more than i planned to drink. i drove to mcdonalds and got some sandwiches. i ate one in the car on my way home. i turned onto to stacer and wanted to skip track 2 on stroke 9's new cd. the next thing i know my car had veered off the road and i hit something hard. i hit a fuckin' mailbox. no, no, i destroyed a fuckin' mailbox. not to mention, a dent in my hood, scratches, a broken side mirror, and the huge cracks on my windshield. d'oh! i saw a flashlight go off from inside so i walked up and rang the bell. i gave them my number and such and said i'd take care of it.

NOV 15- i was off work so i took the car to the shop. focusing on only the major damage, it was gonna cost $665. i didn't bother going through the insurance. i also paid the people $15 for a new mailbox, they asked for $10. lisa drove me to get my rental car in newburgh. i took her out to lunch at a nearby place called lighthouse cafe or diner or restaurant. it was a locally owned family type place. i filmed the werewolf scene and another scene that night. woohoo! unfortunatly, the cold outdoor night filming took its toll on me.

NOV 16- my car was ready. wooo! michelle picked me up at the rental car place and drove me to the shop. she was like, i feel like i owe you something. i'm like, NO SHIT! i didn't say that of course. i was also charged an extra day because i turned the car in like an hour late. dammit!

NOV 17- i felt like crap at work. i went in and cleaned and then served a lunch shift. ugggggh! i spent the rest of the day in bed. i took my temperature that night. it was 102. also at some point during my sickness, i got a phone call from jeff. i'm an uncle. wooo! i'm gonna call him jeffy, like in the family circus. that way, whenever durnk uncle chris playfully does something mean, i can say, who did that, jeffy? NOT ME!

NOV 18- i called off from work. i felt better, but my temperature was still 101 that morning. by the end of the day, i was really getting sick of bed rest.

NOV 19- i'm really sick of bed rest now. i'm actually gonna try to go to work tonight.

    american idiot show, wooooo!
here's some stuff that's been going on....

thurs 21st- aja organized a surprise birthday party for sparky at lamascos where he was d j ing. it was a pretty fun time.

fri 22nd- i worked most likely and went to hog wild.

sat 23rd- i worked again. sigh. lisa came over for her birthday. i bought her aladdin on dvd. we just hung out and watched tv. weeee.

sun 24th- i watched the colts lose and then met up with sparky and drove to louisville for the green day concert. it's by far the best show i've been to. ticketmaster once again provided crappy directions, but we got there in a decent amount of time, and even managed to find a free parking garage a few blocks away for an easy access out. one of my favorite things about the show was that they had a phone number on their big screen by the stage where you could have text messages and pictures posted. they didn't post the message i sent. LOUISVILLE SUCKS. just making fun of all the messages was worth the trip to kentucky.

sugarcult opened up and put on a great show. i had just bought their new album, and we listened to their old one on the way down, but they played the songs i liked from them: stuck in america, bouncing off the walls, pretty girl, she's the blade, crying, and memory.

new found glory opened up with truth of my youth, one of my favorites on their new album. they played good stuff from sticks and stones (understatement, my friends over you, something i call personality, head on collision). from catalyst they also played: this disaster, i don't wanna know, failure's not flattering, and they closed with intro and all downhill from here. i felt that in between songs though they were being too much like blink 182 with the dirty jokes and crap. i guess it rubbed off on them from all the touring they did together.

green day blew everyone else away. they started off with a large chunk from american idiot: american idiot, the 10 minute long jesus of suburbia, holiday, are we the waiting and st. jimmy. they went on to do older stuff: hitchin' a ride, king for a day, brain stew/jaded, longview, welcome to paradise, basket case, she. in between they also played from american idiot: wake me up when september ends and homecoming, the other 10 minute song. i was pissed that they didn't play my favorite song from the new album, but then.....

ENCORE! and they start off with blvd. of broken dreams. they then proceeded into minority followed by a bitchin' cover of queen's we are the champions. i was nearly in tears. tre and mike left and billy joe finished with good riddance. hell of a great show.

i get pretty tired of the whole "bring three musicians on stage to play the instruments during a song" but billy joe really made it funny. he even let the little 14 year old keep the guitar. and then he asked the drummer where he was from and he said cincinatti. everyone booed him. it was funny.

the best thing about the night was that me and sparky ran into ben pangburn "long haired ben" and carly who were at harlaxton with us. it was great hanging out and catching up with them for the second half of the show.

mon 25th- i had to work late, a double with a 15 minute break. i made $150 though.

tues 26th- i had to buss in the morning. ew. then i worked a night shift and made like $80. we had a heavy downpour which cancelled filming for the night. dammit!

wed 27th- i came in early and cleaned again. not very fun. afterward, i drove up near brazil, IN and met up with my dad and some of his friends (phil shelby and george) to go camping. it's a real nice place they stay at. dad showed me the cabin and the different trails around the place. then we went fishing for awhile. i caught 2 bluegill. yay! we sat around the fire and told dirty jokes and drank beer, it was a guy's night out. george's wife showed up for a little while and helped the guys fix spaghetti for dinner. it was damn good. they let me take home the leftovers. i kinda wished i had stayed there for the night.

i went out to hog wild for awhile when i got home and just had a horrible time. it's hard enough seeing the girl i like all over her boyfriend (another guy that works with us). i had just sat down and i was already getting my beer spilled all over me cause everyone was drunk and having fun. i actually left and sat in the other room by myself for awhile. i was feeling pretty down. i sang "adam's song" by blink 182 to prove it. to make it even more ironic the guy that's dating the girl i like came up and started singing with me. i'm like "what the hell do you have to be depressed about?" i also sang "stan" again for the third week in a row. i left pissed off and went straight home.

thurs 28th- i was off work. i needed it. i ran some errands and stopped at red lobster and ate some cheese cake and wrote some songs. i went over to the fiji house after a few naps and filmed part of a scene. i went back to hog wild and ate dinner. they had silver bullet on the tv. i made fun of it. i couldn't get a hold of any cast members that night at all, so on a non-raining thursday night we got NOTHING done. i was pissed. i went to ginny's place and got a pitcher of beer and finished my latest album- the squirrels are sleeping, writing 11 songs total for the day.

fri 29th- i worked a lunch shift. it was pretty slow. i don't even know what i made yet. i've been relaxing all afternoon. i'm gonna stay in and work on some writing projects tonight.

    that's all.

    stupid lousy internet
well, my internet's been acting up recently, so i'll send you a quick update of some of the hi-lites.

harry putter 3- we've had plenty of rain delays the past two weeks. it hasn't been much fun. but after finishing up 2 scenes last night and hoping to get a couple done tonight, we should officially be past the 75% completion point. still truckin' along.

13th- i auditoned for the local community theater's up-coming performance. the play looks really funny. i'm still wating to hear from the director with the results, but my chances look slim to nil. there are only 3 parts in the play and my film will probably be too time consuming for me.

15th- team america FUCK YEAH! coming again to save the mother fuckin' day! so, yeah i saw the new trey parker/ matt stone movie. not as good as south park, but it was still pretty damn funny. that's all i'll say to prevent from spoiling anything.

hog wild karaoke- hog wild has brought karaoke on wednesdays, unfortunately. looks like i won't be going out to lanhucks much with hog wild and ginnys and their $2 pitchers on wed. d'oh. sad day.

did i mention that my second shrink left. well, he did and i'm saying "screw it" to the place i went to. i'm tired of starting over with new people. grrrrrrrrr.

moving back to indy- my odds of moving home are greatly increasing. i'd even say it's close or in the 90% bracket by now. things are just sucking down here and i'm going nowhere. i look at the friends i have down here and well, they'll be just fine without me.

    so what's coming up?

this saturday is lisa's birthday. yay!
this sunday is the green day/new found glory/sugarcult concert in louisville. yay!
new south park episodes start next wednesday. yay!
    and other stuff. yay!

    oh yeah
something i forgot about the conversation i had with stroke 9's lead singer. he was telling me that "reject" had different guitar tuning and that's why they didn't play it. i told him i thought that "100 girls" would've been a hard one to do, and then we started talking about the lyrics. sparky was like, "you had it earlier, cooker." and then i went through the second verse and luke was like, "you should've jumped up on stage." sweet! wish i had. i love that song.

    VH + S9 take 2
filming went great on monday. we were dead at work so i actually got more done than scheduled. we also finished one of the longest scenes in the movie. woohoo!

i worked a through on tuesday and made enough to buy alladin on dvd, the new good charlotte (which didn't impress me the first time through) and korn's greatest hits. but enough about that.

sparky picked me up around 8:45 and we met up with lisa at marina point to see stroke 9 and vertical horizon for $10. the show started earlier than expected and stroke 9 simply just kicked ass. at one point they said "is there anyone here that's never seen us before. name some songs you want to hear." and the first song the few of us that knew them blurted out was vacuum bag. they played a rock/accoustic during the chorus version of it. it ruled. at one point i yelled out "reject" and then the lead singer looked at me and said, "how 'bout something within reason." it was funny. they played a lot of good stuff- letters, little blackbackpack (lots of audience participation, the last song), washing' and wonderin', 100 girls (the lead singer completely screwed up the second verse and blamed on "not hearing that one in awhile"), kick some ass, do it again, just can't wait, and a song from their new album coming out november 9th. the coolest part was in between the two bands, three members of stroke 9 were standing like five feet from us. so, hell, i walked over and we actually shot the shit with luke (the lead singer) for about 10 minutes. he signed my ticket stub. it was really cool. the other thing i liked about the show was that the background lights kept failing, so at certain points of the show, the tech people had a giant flashlight shined on the band. it was funny.

vertical horizon, as always, showed their good guitar players adding like 5 minutes of music to every song and doing a lot of instrumental solos. it was a good show, but after standing all day at work and just hearing them playing their instruments, i really needed to sit down. they played some old stuff (wash away) and some covers, you're a god, everything you want, grey sky moring, shackled. they only did one song off their new album, sunshine. all in all, they put on a good show. i was just tired and stroke 9 kicked too much ass. after the show was over, members of both bands hung out at the bar and talked to people. the only person i didn't see out their was matt scannel. i didn't really talk to anyone from vertical horizon but told keith kane (guitarist) "kick ass show, keith" when i walked by. he nodded at me and said thanks.

that was the show. now, we're just trying to get tickets to green day without paying $8 service fees through ticketmaster.

    time for work.

    inside four walls
i've realized lately that to some people i only exist inside the four walls at work because no one calls, visits or anything. sounds like an experiment in the making.

29th- i had a cast member cancel on me, so i changed up my filming scenes. i didn't get too too much done, but it wasn't a wasted night. i went to lanhucks afterward. it was dead! very dead. i don't even remember what i sang. i think it was primitive radio gods, three doors down and some other stuff. i went home and to bed after that.

30th- i mucked around during the day. i wathced the star wars trilogy on dvd. i finished some scenes up from the previous day. lisa had a bad day, so i invited her over that night to watch a movie. we watched office space. then i went to bed.

1st- i worked a split. it was strange because i was in the bar both shifts. i'm never in the bar. i made around $100 for the day. i had a message from sledge to come out to lamascos so i did. fiji jim showed up with some of his friends, and a few other people i knew were there. i sang "my last resort," "stan" and "all the things she said" by request. i grabbed some egg mcmuffins on the way home and then went to bed.

2nd- i work a dinner shift tonight and don't really feel like doing anything after work. i had a call yesterday that now doctor welch has left, so i'm going to be assigned to a third shrink. i'm about ready to just say screw it. lisa also gave me her doctor's name. i think i'd have better luck going there than with my offices. well, i need to get some food before i got to leave.

hey, maw, i'm making a movie
17th- worked a night shift and went to hog wild. can i say friday night? it didn't stop there though. i went over to will and george's 'til around 2:30am and then went to the fiji house for a ritual. that ended around 5am so i went to IHOP and talked to krissi, trina and hope, ate some stuffed french toast and stuff. they got rid of the chicken wings! i was pissed. i asked trina if i was the only person that got them and she said, "yeah, pretty much." i went to bed around 6am.

18th- it was a good thing i was off today. woohoo! i went over to blaire's in the evening for a cookout and a few beers. jim and big a were there and stafford, gurgol, joe weist and kyle were in town. we all went over to passover. we signed 13 guys. i also ran into anna and jen (my little sis) and talked to them for awhile. i left early and went to the opening night gala at the victory theater. they played rhapsody in blue and beethoven's 5th. it was a good show. kinda boring going alone, but there was this attractive girl a few rows down, so i guess it was all good. i went to the fiji house/wininger's afteward. i drank a 40oz and had a few beers. met some of the new guys and ran into some old friends (amanda wetter and missy). the most ironic thing of the night was that i ran into the girl from the orchestra concert (the one a few rows down) on the third floor. she's a freshman piano major. i left the party, hell i was tired, and got a call from tiffany. she was standing outside the phi tau house and i was in front of our fence. she's like, "is that you by the fence?" we talked for a bit with jen, and then she went to bed. i talked awhile longer with jen before heading home. although, i didn't make it home. i got a call from bronwyn on lisa's cell phone. she told me that lisa was drunk and wanted to see me. i said sure because i had to apologize to her in person for bailing on the political parade i told her i'd march in. after staying out 'til 6am, i wasn't about to march in a parade at like noon. i was tired. so, i met up with them and aja at lamascos around 3am. the bar was getting ready to close. while i waited for them to show up i talked to chris j., heather and stefani. coy and tara from work were there too with their friend bo. the night ended with me taking lisa home. i stayed the night there, along with bronwyn and aja since 3 of us were doing race for the cure in the morning.

19th- two nights with little sleep and waking up early is no fun, but we did race for the cure. it took like 1 hour and 15 minutes since we walked it, compared to the 25 minutes when i run. EAT PASTE! EAT PASTE! it was fun. i was on the friends of jon jennings team. after the race, everyone went back to the west side for food, and i went home and to bed. i woke up and worked my night shift, went back home and back to bed.

20th- i worked a split. it was pretty slow. i met with sparky again and we filmed 'til about 1am, getting 4.5 scenes done. it was a productive night.

21st- i worked another slow split and canceled filming due to cast member conflicts.

22nd- i was off today. i did movie preparation during the day and then went to the fiji house to film in the basement. unfortunately, with a new pledge class, they were doing study tables down there so we only got about 3 of the 8 scenes i wanted to do finished. we decided to meet back up sunday afternoon to finish other stuff up. i went out to lanhucks after that. no one was really around. sledge eventually showed up. walt wasn't feeling well so karaoke ended early and we went to IHOP for stuffed french toast. i think trina waited on us.

23rd- i picked up a shift for the house and then got suckered into being a closer cause no one else would. i was stuck at work 'til like 11pm. it sucked, but i made good money.

24th- worked a friday split. went out to hog wild and almost got in a fight. well, sam, a guy from work almost got ina fight with a guy talking crap. actually, the guy talking crap was the only one that wanted to fight, but we were ready to throw down if necessary. he got kicked out. meh. aaron, the old red lobster manager, was also there. he works at biaggis now. i decided to leave around midnight to go to ed's off campus party. i didn't know where it was, just the general area. i called wininger after buying my 40oz. he said the party was getting busted and to meet him at shell where they were. sure enough, 29 minors got ticketed at the party for underage drinking and the two guys at the house were charged with stuff. wininger invited me over, but becca had called earlier and was having people over to her place, so i took my 40 over there. i played some drinking games (circle of death, up and down the river) with becca, coy, tara and bo. they were apparently over there 'til like 5am. i left around 2/3am. i was tired.

25th- i worked a night shift. went to hog wild and drink by myself since no one else showed up.

26th- woke up early and went back to the fiji house. filmed 3 scenes. worked a night shift.

27th- worked a split. conflicts up the wazzoo for filming that night. we were delayed about 1.5 hours and then we couldn't find someone. it was a mess. i was mad. went to fox and hound with sparky where we ran into bronwyn and aja. karaoke was cancelled because of equipment problems. chris the dj was pretty pissed about it. i had 2 ciders with sparky and then went home. i guess the good thing today was that i got my new dvds. i was invited to rejoin my dvd club so i got a bunch for really cheap: An American Tail, Forrest Gump, Mothman Prophecies, Office Space, Reservoir Dogs, Usual Suspects and Willy Wonka. i also met with Rovani during my split and recorded his dialogue for Grape.

28th- worked a split. we were short handed at dinner, so i made good money. had to cancel filming. bought groceries. went home and to bed.

    another week without and update
    so, let's see.....

8th- i had to cancel filming cause brad was sick. i went to lanhucks and met up with lisa there. i sang a bunch of oldies stuff- the beatles, john denver, the monkees, del shannon, etc. josh and sledge eventually showed up when i was ready to leave. lisa left and i stayed i chatted with them for like an hour. then i went home.

9th- hell, i don't remember. i did watch the colts lose.

10th- i worked a night shift. i started having massive chest pain, numbness and rapid/heavy heartbeats, but i was stubborn and stayed at work. hell, i was making good money. i went straight home afterwards.

11th- i went to st. marys and was there for about 4 hours getting tests done on my chest and heart and what not. they found nothing wrongs. surprise surprise. i called work and it was up to me if i wanted to come in. i went in anyway, but it was slow, so they closed me after only two tables and told me to go home and get some rest. i was in bed by 7pm. what was i going to do anyway? today i also got my first newspaper. i signed up for the courier's weekend Th-Su paper. now, i can keep informed with how boring the tri-state really is.

12th- i worked in the morning. it's still slow. i went home and watched football all evening and night.

13th- i worked a split. all you can eat shrimp started. i went home. lisa came over and had a few beers. i tried to explain football to her. she liked carolina because they had pretty shirts.

14th- i worked another split. i went to lisa's office during my break and picked up my race for the cure packet. that night i went to the women's hospital to meet my latest "neice." jenn had her daughter on monday morning, Trinity Faith Smith. she was really cute. i held her for about an hour and she was awake the whole time, just staring up at me and around the room.

15th- i traded shifts with michelle because she had to go to the doctor. she ended up calling off from my shift she took. at least i wasn't held responsible. i was a lunch time closer. i went home, took a nap and then left for filming. i scouted some of my scenes at night, changed some locations and than brad hagman (professor loopy) and i got one scene completed and part of another done before my battery started acting up. i had left my spare at home. sigh. i went out to ginny's place afterward to meet up with will, george and patrick from work. they were never there. jason from work was there for awhile, and ozzy who used to work at red lobster. i sang "all downhill from here." i got some applause and even had a guy shake my hand and tell me how good it was.

16th- holy shit! that's today! i'm off work. yay! i'm going to go to best buy and over to the fiji house to scout more locations and get my last schedules from people, hopefully. other than that, i plan on a day of relaxaton and movie preparation.

    update with lord alfred hayes
hello everyone. time for an update.

monday 30th- i worked a split. went out to the fox for karaoke. they had some new songs. i sang "all downhill from here" by new found glory, "i miss you" by blink 182 and "your love" by the outfield. they didn't have the thrid new song i picked yet. d'oh!

tuesday 31st- i gave my shifts to vikki, who wanted to pick up shifts. i didn't do anything.

wednesday 1st- today was amanda a's 21st. a bunch of people were supposed to go out to lanhucks. no one showed up. i sang "hurt" by johnny cash and "your love" by the outfield again. i sing that song too much, i think.

thursday 2nd- i went back to ellis park and dropped around $30. it was my last chance to go before they close for the year. i went to lisa's afterward. she cooked me dinner and we watched airheads and 13 going on 30.

friday 3rd- i worked a double. uggh! i went out to the hog afterwords and hung out with mark, abby and shirley. some more people from work showed up later (wally, michelle, tammy, etc). i also learned that a lot of beer and hog wild's home made pizza is NOT a good combination. i went home and threw it all up and went to bed.

saturday 4th- pat asked me to come in 3 hours early, so i did. i made $150 for the day. stopped at the hog for a beer and went to bed.

sunday 5th- i was C1 for lunch. weeee! afterward i went to the hospital to see vikki and my latest "nephew" jordan chase jones. everyone with a kid refers to me as uncle chris. jordan was born on friday afternoon. he's a little thing, only 6lbs 4ozs (i think) when he was born. i was there for a couple of hours, helping out with anzlee and everything else that went on (pictures, etc.) mary, tabitha and candance stopped by at one point. and then i talked with ashli and joy for awhile once they arrived after work.

monday 6th- i worked a split. it was slow.

tuesday 7th- i worked a split. it was slow. i had a beer at the hog and broke both my high scores in both games i play. i also went grocery shopping. tomorrow, i plan to work on pre-production for the movie since i'm starting things up tomorrow night, doing some short easy scenes with brad (professor loopy). hope things go well, since as of now, i sure as hell ain't prepared.

    it's coming back!
karaoke shall return to lanhucks this week! weeeee! i can't wait.

here's what happened last week. and don't think i just ignore this journal. i haven't been online since tuesdayish.

    monday- a $100 split.

tuesday- i worked a night shift. we had crappy weather and that money making. sigh.

wednesday- ahhhhh! visitors!!!! hahahahaha. mom and g+g came down to visit. we went to red lobster for a late lunch and then we drove around campus to show g+g where i went to school. they'd never been to eville. that night, mom took them to the boat while i went to the otters game. i went as a part of a fundraiser for jon jennings for congress. it was organized by lisa. it was a good time. i hung out mainly with lisa, bronwyn and bob howard, another friend of lisa's who was also in my small group. amanda k and tabitha were there with another group, so i talked to them for awhile. after the game, mom and i met up with the fundraising crew and bronwyn at hammerheads. it was an okay time. lisa got drunk. very drunk. it was funny.

thursday- had lunch at the edgewater grille. i like their samiches. we went to ellis park afteward. i correctly picked a trifecta on the first race we saw. they retracted those bids cause there weren't enough. i was mad. mom won $500 on a trifecta on the last race we saw. yay! it was fun. i might go back this week on my days off since it's the final week of live racing. the left in the early evening. and then lisa came over that night. we watched hollywood homicide, ate a pizza and then she went home.

friday- i worked a split in the galley and made $140. the bad thing was that it was insanely hot in there and i ended up throwing up from running around and being hot and dehydrated. it sucked. but i made good money.

saturday- i got shitty tips all night. it sucked. i went to hog wild. they fixed the juke box! we broke it a couple of sweeks ago trying to get a cd unstuck. no one went out, so i just shot some pool by myself, wrote a little bit, etc. the three songs i picked on the juke box were: "not even the trees" by hootie and the blowfish, "let me go" by marvelous 3 and "something's always wrong" by toad the wet sprocket. i went home and to bed.

sunday- i worked a lunch shift and made $100. after work i went to babies r us to buy a gift for vikki, did laundry, ate dinner and now i'm here, getting ready to email cast members.

oh yeah, another thing that happened someday during this past week. my friend tiffany was in a car accident with my friend mark from work. it's a small world. i'm just glad everyone was okay.

    that's it.

    bye.

    how exciting can life be?
friday- worked a split. went to hog wild. went home.

saturday- worked a split. went to hog wild. went home.

sunday- worked a lunch shift. went home and did nothing.

monday- worked a split. went home and did nothing. made $120

tuesday- worked a split. went grocery shopping. made $130

wednesday- worked a day shift. was stuck there forever cause no one knew if i was closed or not. stopped at hacienda for dinner. went home and did nothing.

thursday- stayed home all day and didn't do much. i've begun production notes for the 3rd harry putter movie. i'm about a third through it.

last night, i thought i'd beat my record for the number of bars attended drinking one beer at each bar. i was going for 7 over a 5 hour period of time. however, i ran into some people i knew at the 5th bar and stayed there. i went to: hog wild, fox and hound, stockwells, hoosier's lounge and lamascos. i did karaoke at the last bar. i don't remember all i sang....

    your love by the outfield
    barbie girl by aqua
    don't stop believin' by journey
here comes the hotstepper by ina kamoze
deep inside of you by third eye blind
why don't you get a job by offspring

i've also been watching a lot of olympics. i thought it kicked ass that the US won both all around gymnastics. although, paul hamm sounds a lot like billy boat. football has also started preseason, and little league world series is on too. weeeeee!

i've got to do laundry today and i'm debating whether to see the new exorcist movie. i'm bored

aug. 4- i had to wake up freakin' early in indy for a 8am doctor's appt. (sigh) and i still had to wait in the lobby forever. what the hell? i had a good follow up for my depression and he looked at my mole again and said we can get it removed next time i'm up. woohoo!

i said hi to g+g who were asleep when i got in the night before, and then we met dad and betty at bahama breeze for lunch. bahamarita was awesome, but i found the food just decent. we went home and i cleaned out the inside of my car. it was filthy.

then i opened presents. i pretty much got everything i asked for, since i didn't ask for much. dvds and cds, a book of poe's stories and poems. probably my favorite gift though was the one i didn't ask for. i got one of those cheesey video game controllers you hook up to the tv and it has 50 lame addictive games on it. i like grass cutter and pet shop. man, they're lame.

we ate cake. yay! and i think i spent most of the evening playing video games.

aug. 5- i lounged around in the morning and eventually went to party tree where i bought some movie props. we ate penn station samiches for lunch before i dove back to the burgh.

aug. 6- i worked a split and probably went out to hog wild afterward for a few drinks.

aug. 7- i worked a night shift. i was all ready to go out and celebrate my birthday that night when a 30 top showed up and no one would take it. i'm glad i did. it cut my celebration short, but i made $75 off them. i went out to hog wild and drink with mark, sam, will, denise and becca. i also played wordster with natasha (shattering the record). we went to ginny's afterward and chris the dj told everyone to wish me a happy birthday when i went up to sing. few did. they don't care for my music there. danny from work was also there, and i think i saw george at one point. i sang a new song, "3 libras" by a perfect circle. i went home around 3am.

aug. 8- happy birthday to me. woopdee doo! i worked a lunch shift and then pretty much just went home and napped on and off 'til i went to bed.

birthday dinner- 1 popsicle, 1 bowl of cereal

    birthday thank yous-

mom, g+g and jeff for the phone calls.
mom, ray and blurty for the emails.

and a few people at work that wished me a happy birthday w/o me having to tell them... amanda k, mary and tabitha.

aug. 9- i worked a split. i went out to hog wild and had a beer. i was debating whether to go to fox and hound, but i said what the hell and went out for a bit. i sat with liz and sarah. i remembered meeting liz before (somewhere, but probably there, but didn't remember her name). i sang "rainy days and mondays" and "i believe in a thing called love." i went home.

aug. 10- today was the red lobster picnic. i debated whether or not to go, but finally showed up around 2ish. it was at burdette park and we got free pool admission and free mini golf. i took advantage of the golf going 2-0, although my scores were pretty bad. it was decently fun. the food was good and it was a rare occaision to spent time with people outside of work.

i worked a dinner shift that night. it was kinda slow. didn't make much. i went to dairy queen afterward to get a brownie blizzard. they were closed. i'm still pissed.

aug. 11- i went to best buy and used my gift cards.

last song listened to in my car on cassette- am i wrong by love spit love
first song listened to in my car on cd- wish you were here by incubus

i got my cd player. weeeee! the day sucked though because it took about 4 hours to install the damn thing since there were 2 cars ahead of me. long and the short of it, i had no car and couldn't get a hold of anyone to pick me up. i wandered around the stores in that area. ate a pizza at fazolis. i even went across the street and played both courses at the putt-putt on green river. those holes by the street suck, especially with young people yelling at you as they drive by. i usually waited for the light to go green.

eventually, i went back and got my car. i went to home depot and bought some wood to build a shelf for my dvds. i started working on it last night, but i was making too much noise late at night, so i stopped. i also stopped at wal-mart and grabbed some milk and a case for cds in my car.

that night, i drove to vikki's for jenna's birthday party. the food was great. thanks vikki! a few people from work were there. it was pretty fun, i guess, for a 5 year old's party. i received a call from michelle when i was at home depot and expected to hang out with her after the party. i got my hopes up though since i couldn't get a hold of her (as always).

aug. 12- today i plan to do all the crap i was supposed to do yesterday, but couldn't because i was stranded on green river for 4 hours. weeeeeeeee!
