Actually, I've been fairly productive these past weeks with school, track, and fh of course. Track is not too bad.. I actually look forward to running because I get to see my girls! WEEEOO! School has been alright and rather strange; some fights, threats, and a bomb threat. Completely out of the ordinary. Oh well. Washington D.C. was amazing! I'm really glad I got the opportunity to go. So, at 1AM Friday morning, Jake picks me up and we head to Denny's with Jade & Corey. It was pretty fun, especially when Mr. Copperwheat broke 2 spoons doing his magic trick shit. Then, we arrived at the school about 2:30 and waited for the bus which came about 3. They put "Finding Nemo" in the VHS when we started off, which was rather pointless cause most people fell asleep. Around 6:30 or so, most people were awake so Mrs. Thomas put in "Wrong Turn". Okay, for those of you have not seen it - DON'T. It's supposed to be a scary movie but it's so gosh darn predictable that it's not even remotely frightening. The only thing it is, is disgusting. Somewhere in between, we stopped @ McDonald's for breakfast. That ends the bus saga. The first monument we went to view was Arlington Cemetery - JFK Memorial. It was pretty crazy to see graves of people who had such an impact on society. After that, we made a quick stop at the White House. I was rather dissapointed by the fact that I didn't get to see any snipers.. just lots of cameras and a police guard standing in the front yard. Oh and the White House doesn't seem as large as it does in pictures. What's up with that? Moving on, it was on the Holocaust Museum which was the sole purpose to go to DC (no, not just to miss school..added bonus though - snow day though!) So we wait for probably 20-30 minutes which seemed like forever before we actually got into the museum part. First, you get these cards of Jews during the Holocaust and it tells information about them and it tells whether they lived or died on the last page; mine died. :( Anyways, walking in, you see a huge picture of burned bodies and bones. It's wrenching. I walked through the museum with an incredible sense of hurt and resentment because even now, it makes me so upset that human beings could do this to other human beings. Some parts of the museum are so riveting.. such as the display of prisoners shoes or the movies displaying guards just killing Jews in front of the masses. When I went through the cattle car, I just had to stand in it for a moment or 2 to just gain the perspective.. could you imagine being on one for 3-4 days at a time, with no stops? How horrible it sounds, but how true it is. The only thing I wish is that we could have had extra time. After walking through, I made a beeline for the bookstore and purchased 2 books. Next in line - HARD ROCK. It was alright. A group of people bought Foakley's (fake Oakley's)..hah and then we browsed through sovenier shops. In addition, since the place where Lincoln died was in close proximity, I got to go through the little tour they offer. It was free of charge and I got to see where the President was the day of his death. Most of of the furniture and other things are NOT geunine but are indeed fairly close to what it would have looked like. Finally, we went to see the Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, and the Korean Memorial. In a few words, summary about the following memorials: LINCOLN'S HUGE!, Vietnam -- sense of sadness, Korean -- the soldiers & the wall.. very cool/real. After all this sight-seeing, we packed up and hit the road! On the way home, I mainly slept. And when I got home, I slept. Great, isn't it? Happy Saint Patty's DaY! 4 made me smile

It's been crazy lately with the play and all. Dress rehersal went well & then last night was alright - a few mishaps back stage but nothing that the audience really noticed. Pepi's was alright. I cannot wait for the weekend to be over only because I'm going to eat so much junk food that I'll probably explode//gain a million pounds. I'm determined to get back under 125 during track.. I think I need a shower. 2 made me smile

Why can't I be what you need? [24 Feb 2004|10:18pm] [ mood | tired ] Ehh, school's back in session. The week off went by way too fast, but I guess it's best to get back into the groove..or is it? Oh well, yesterday was alright. I had a hockey game which overall, didn't go too well. This fucking bitch on the other team kept pushing me so I hit her with my stick on purpose. I know once I did it that I was completely wrong, so after I apologized to her and she just looked at me and didn't say shit. Stuck up little priss. Whatever, I just can't deal with people who play dirty hockey. First off, I can take a couple of pushes but when someone constantly does it, a little flame goes off inside my head and basically explodes. Therefore, I guess you could say I don't have much control of my actions at that point. Well, I do feel bad and I did apologize, but I guess you can't please everyone right? I got kind of emotional after the game because sometimes things just get to me. I haven't really had a good cry in sometime, but I don't know, best to keep things inside because I can't stand the question of "what's wrong?" That's the only time people give a shit anyways. Also, there's a team issue I guess you could say that's been going on for sometime that desperately needs to be solved. It's not my business to say what, but hopefully things can be worked out for the better. We may have one of the best years, so we don't want any internal troubles affecting our ability to play.. so um yeah. Then today.. school and then the whole running club. It was pretty good, awesome workout. I have a feeling I'll be losing weight when track starts only because what we did today was tough but I guess the workouts will be getting harder. I like the people doing it so it's pretty fun. I've been thinking about prom lately and it makes me nervous. I have my dress and all but a date.. yeah. I have a couple of ideas but nothing is definite. We'll see.. I mean it is a couple of months away, but still... I think too much. 2 made me smile

It's been a fairly typical week off so far. I've been hanging around and getting out as well. On Sunday, I spent the afternoon with Jeff. It was enjoyable - we watched "American Wedding" & "Johnny English" at his mom's house. At first, it was okay but once we got comfortable with each other's presence, it was better. He's a great kid but I'm definitely not going to jump into unknown territory at this point - I'm being cautious because I'm not sure what will happen. Moving on.. we had a hockey game on Monday night and kicked Oneida in the ass..hehe. Well, we had just enough for a team and then some, so 2 of us played on Oneida's team. I had to play on it the 1st half which; can you say tired? Eventually, I just gave up because it wasn't even worth trying for..lol. Hey! I scored for them. ;x Yesterday, I went to play practice with Brigitte. We went at 10 and painted white on some sets. Around 12, we went to Pizza Hut for lunch which was delish. When all the actors had arrived, it was time to put some of the sets out which was fine. What sucked so much was the fact that the stage crew sat around most of the time. It went ungodly slow and I practically fell asleep. Oh well, I skipped out on today but I'm going Thursday. I had some strange dreams last night. One was about this kid I know blowing me off and this other kid I know kissing me..um yeah, opposite. The one with kid who just kind of ignored me somewhat hurt my feelings because that's how that situation is, unfortunately. It just make it more concrete. On the other hand.. the other one was just so absurd, but I guess in a good way. I might go prom dress shopping tonight with Ashley. As of now, I don't think my mom will go so I'm going to see if she's still going to go and I can just go and watch her try on dresses or something.. 2 made me smile

When he is brought back to the journals that he wrote when he was younger (suggested by a pychiatrist, or a doctor of some sort), suddenly the moments which he could not remember will filling in. However, he now has the ability to change the past in hopes to make the future better, but for the most part, it goes to shit. For the rest, go see it! This afternoon, my nephew Jack was over. He's adorably pudgy. So, we bonded for a bit, reading one of those "Baby Einstein" books, which apparently, educate babies?? It's all good, I needed the excess sleep because last night, we actually went up to Woods! Holy crap, it's been almost a month since I had gone skiing. (Cancelled due to the large quantities of snow we had received.. yeah, it makes no sense.) Anyways, the snow was really nice, soft and good to ski on. I had a great night of skiing - no falling at all. =D That's quite an accomplishment in itself for me. Furthermore, today I just kind of hung around. Sunday, I'm going skiing with my brother. -smirks- This should be very interesting. See, my brother is 27 & has never skiied before, so he is going to take lessons. I couldn't teach him..heh, I'd just tell him to snowplow. I've learned something over the course of a year and that is simply that people don't change. It's pointless to hope or wish that they will suddenly change. Yes, I've wasted a lot of time. 2 made me smile

They were my first of the year, and we won..yay. I met up with Tania there after I went to Walmart with my mom and we watched JV. Then, she had to do lines for varsity, so I was lonely :*(! I missed my Tania. ;) Anywho, I got to finally see Jeff play and he is really good. I could tell he gives 110% always..just one of those players, who goes all out. Strangely enough, I was talking to him on the phone today and we were talking about all sorts of stuff & he clarified some stuff that I have heard.. And, also, we both substantiated (well, sort of) that we both don't want to be in relationships and he said later that he thinks we'll be good friends. I think he's right.. I mean, we talk about anything & everything and just the level of comfort is present. It's a really nice camradery (don't think that's how you spell that word..lol oh well). YAY SUPERBOWL TOMORROW -sarcasm- I never watch it lol, I'm so anti-American.. not really, but just not into it. Time for sleep... I hear the sand man calling mah name.. smile

I guess now it's time for an entry. Here goes.. So umm yeah, not much has happened all that recently. Midterms this past week, which sucked but I only had 1 full day & today I have off. Yesterday, marked the 3rd week of no ski club; I'm diving into a deep depression of snow withdrawal, litterally. It's pretty bad. Anywho, I got a hockey game tonight and in addition, I get to stay for the following game to play on Illion because apparently they don't have enough players. =D OO, like a week ago I got info from the Lehigh College because apparently the coach saw me play at the Festival and she said she was impressed with my overall skill level. I was shocked, because when I did play, I didn't play so great..but I guess she thought I did alright! So, I had this questionarre to fill out and did so, and finally sent it back yesterday. It's just so crazy. I got info on this camp too, which is in Pennsylvania and I think I might be going there this summer. I'd go the Advanced Elite possibly..ek holy shit, it's 6 days though. Yet, I think I could gain some serious experience there and make some friends, too. If I do go, I'll probably go alone, but it'll give me a taste of what college will happen to be. Ahh yeah.. 2 made me smile

What was the best was I met this boy, Jeff who is a senior from a neighboring town. He was at the dance because his brother goes to school with. Anyways, I was just mingling around and he was like, "Hi, my name is Jeff" and I was like "Hey, I'm Jill!" After that he was like, "If my name was Jack, then we could go up the hill!" Awhaha I thought that was really cute, and he told me I could him Jack.. heh. No one ever said that to me before..but yeah. So anyways, it was like me, Amanda & him and we were just dancing altogether. Eventually, that Michael Bolton song that they play at every goddamn dance came on..it goes like "Ya know it's true..everything I do". Yeah, it kind of makes me nauseous, but in a good way. So, Jeff asked to dance with me and of course I did. He was a really good dancer, not just "turn in circle" which most guys are. In addition, he sang too..lol so did I and at the point, my voice wasn't doing so well. By far, it probably was the best slow dance I've ever had because at the end, he kissed my hand..but the song wasn't quite over when we thought it was, so we continued to dance and then at the very end, he kissed both my hands! ::sign:: lol yeah, I'm pretty pathetic, but it was so sweet and it made my night! The dance went on and I danced with him and stuff.. it was a lot of fun! He left early, but he asked me for my number, which is a complete first for me! He called me today :) hehe, I'm such a geek! We talked for a bit and hopefully we'll get together and hang out. He's really awesome. :] 5 made me smile

I don't mean to be corny, but I just felt like making a few lists of things, especially by starting off with my resolutions. SO I decided to make some geuine resolutions (we'll see how long they last). Some are silly and some are serious, so just bare with me. 1. Floss my teeth at least every other day. 2. Practice for the SAT/ACT like mad (at least every other weekend). 3. Smile more, cry less. 4. Just be a better person. Now, I can't NOT do without a reminiscent list? *smiles* What can I say? ESG Tryouts - who would have thought I would have made the team?? 8. Going to California baby! (Trip 1 - San Diego bound ;D) >> awesome, awesome. June o3 9. Trying to surf while in California..*laughs* not too successful at that. 10. Disney Land, of course. 11. ESG - field hockey. Practice - not fun driving a hour and a half away for 4 days. Reality - We won gold!!!!!!!! Great experience. 12. FH tryouts, of course; Anna's arrival! Damn, that girl is fast! ;P 13. School/games/school/games. 14. Red & White Dance.. I think that's what it's called..lol. That was enjoyable. 15. Beating Camden on their own turf. 16. Breast Cancer Walk. 17. Halloween, walking around with Kelly..haha :P 18. Dome Bound!! Lost 1-0 but we played an amazing game; seriously one of the best ever. 19. Becoming better friends with my Tania <3 :) 20. Halloween, walking around with Kelly..haha :P 21. Well, Fall Ball of course. Probably unforgettable because my date got sick on me half way through..lol :) That's okay, though! 22. California, trip 2! National Hockey Festival - completely astonishing. Field hockey fields everywhere you look with a backround of moutains. It looks so real it looks fake :P Placed 2nd in our pool baby. O00o also got to go on a Hollywood tour - that was rad :P Got to see famous peoples homes! 23. Thanksgiving in California - not too shabby, at all. 24. Snow! 25. My 17th - of course I have to be sick on it. But getting skiis made up for it :) 26. Christmas - I made out like a bandit.. hah *smiles* 27. Finally getting my goddamn DVD player to work! First movie watched - "Pretty Woman" Movie recall: "Chicago" "Finding Nemo" "Pirattes of the Caribbean" "Freaky Friday" "Elf" "Bad Santa" "Mona Lisa Smile" "Cheaper By the Dozen" That's all I can remember off the top of my head.. they may be a few more, but I cannot remember at this point. Okay, so this year was pretty good overall, I must say. A good balance of emotions. Now, I'm just curious what o4 has in store! Should be interesting! :) 4 made me smile
