Subject:Good end to a rather bad day
Time:5:51 pm.
Mood: relaxed.
Music:Alison Moyet.
Yeah, it was a bad day, especially being stuck in a non-moving traffic jam along Jalan Duta, and finding the roundabout closed, so that I couldn't turn into Bukit Tunku (a green "shortcut" back to the office) and stop by Topaz to get lunch. Grr ...

Further down the road, saw that someone had moved a couple of road blocks so that it was possible to do a U-turn and head back towards Bukit Tunku. Which was what I did, so I did get to stop by Topaz and get a sandwich for lunch. Not just any sandwich, but a Topaz sandwich (huge portion and yummy, too).

Then I got back to the office to find something different on my table than what I was expecting. The department's support staff weren't exactly supportive in helping me get the right item. Grr ...

Sat down to lunch, checked mail, and found the following item from Beth:

"READ THE FIRST LINE SLOWLY
If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.
Happy moments, praise God.
Difficult moments, seek God.
Quiet moments, worship God.
Painful moments, trust God.
Every moment, thank God."

Exactly what I needed right there and then. Thank you, Beth.

The thing is, what she actually sent was a chain email, with instructions at the end of the email to "pass this message to seven people except you and me. You will receive a miracle tomorrow ( just do it )".

Uh ... no thanks. I don't believe in this type of miracles. Sorry, Beth.

But the message was still a very good one. And I will send it to some friends, but I won't promise them that if they send it on, they will receive a miracle anytime soon.

As with everything else, miracles happen in God's time. Not ours.

Subject:Another Chinese New Year weekend?
Time:11:21 pm.
Mood: pleased.
Music:I guess the Lord must be in New York City (Nilsson).
My brother's home for the weekend. And no, this time, it doesn't feel like Chinese New Year. I think writing about it helped.

As usual, he's brought back goodies. Usually, it's chocolates but this time, it's music. Lots of it. Carpenters, Nilsson, and The Beatles' Let It Be ... Naked.

Bendrix, if you're reading this, yes, your set's here, too. But dunno when I'll have the time to meet up and pass it to you. Meanwhile, dream and drool ...
