I've moved from using Nokia to SonyEricsson. It wasn't simple, mainly because of nostalgic reasons. I've always used Nokia, even tho I lusted after a Motorola clamshell for years. The choice was simple. No external antenna. I've only used two handphones to date. The SonyEricsson will be my third. My first handphone was a Nokia 3210. At the time, it was the only handphone with internal antenna. A couple of years - or maybe, three - later, I changed to a Nokia 3310 which was given free by my work place. And have been using it ever since. The handphone I'm ditching my 3310 for is the SE t68i. I got it secondhand a few months back for its Bluetooth feature. I have an AlphaSmart Dana, a Palm OS powered machine with full sized keyboard, which is both wireless and BT enabled. With a BT phone, I can log on to the Internet in WiFi places. This set-up came in really useful recently when I was with my mother at the hospital for her wrist surgery. Since Nokia and SE handphones are not compatible in terms of accessories, I decided to switch to SE full-time. I bought a thirdhand Ericsson t39m recently to use for the BT while the t68i would replace the 3310. I even bought a Bluetrek G2 Bluetooth Headset to use with my t68i. But there's been a delay in delivery - I bought it online via a trusted seller - and meanwhile, this afternoon, I bought a temporary handsfree set to use. So the move is complete. I'm feeling a little sad about not using the 3310 handphone anymore. It's very easy to use, especially after years of practice! Some buttons on the t68i yield different results, so I'm having to relearn which button is for what. *sigh* Bye bye, dear audio companion. |
