I renewed my domain name just now, chetscorner.com. It's good for another 4 years. Why 4, and not 3 (the US$1.50 discount begins from this number of years) or 5 (which is what most people would usually do)? But then, I'm not most people. And whether 3, 4 or 5, the discount remains at $1.50 per year for year 3 onwards. Still, why 4? It has something to do with my age. I registered two domain names in 2002 - chetscorner.com and lupusmalaysia.org. While I transferred my web pages from a geocities account and occasionally updated chetscorner.com, I never did much with lupusmalaysia.org, which was meant to host information about my lupus experience as well as related lupus information. I've decided not to renew lupusmalaysia.org, but instead create a sub-directory under chetscorner.com for the lupus purpose. Look out for some major updates to chetscorner.com soon. Stay tuned ... |
