Subject:Interesting Date today
Time:1:49 pm.
Mood: content.
Music:I will follow Him (Little Peggy March).
A friend sms'd me and alerted me to today's unusual date.

20/04/2004

Well, it really depends on where you are in the world and how you write the date. The Americans would write it as 04/20/2004, and the significance of the date would be lost. It also makes a difference whether you use a dash or a slash to separate the numbers. Or just join them together. Me, I like to write my dates ddmmyy, so I would've written today's date as 200404. It's at least better than 040404.

The number "4" in the Cantonese dialect sounds like the word for "death" and is not a popular number with many Chinese. I'm Chinese, so maybe that's why I don't quite like it, too.

In any case, happy 20042004.
