The list of nominees for the 76th Annual Academy Awards has been published. I printed out a copy, highlighted the ones I think will win, signed the list, and sealed it in an envelope marked "2004 Oscars: Chet's Predictions, 28/1/04". The envelope is now kept somewhere in my work area in the office, to be opened after the winners have been announced on 29 February 2004.
I have not seen any of the movies nominated this year. My predictions are based on the current popularity of the movies, the previous track records of the nominees (directors, actors, etc.), as well as how they fared at the recent 2004 Golden Globe Awards. I'm hoping one of my predictions is wrong. I'll let you know which one on 1 March 2004.
