The Milpitas Unified School District boasts ten or so different police officers and one or two securities here and there. Coming in and out of Escuela Drive, where they inconveniently packed three different schools in one street, I recently have noticed the amount of underage smoking going on. Minors were actually walking to school holding a cigarette in their hands! My dad said that it wasn't an inconvenience to have three school in one street, but it was for security. The cops can all gather in one street instead of six different ones. So why aren't they catching any of these kids? My brother even told me that he saw kids hanging out in front of the office smoking.
I know underage smoking and drinking goes on in every school, but I guess Mountain View High School was more secretive when it comes to it. Plus, it was smaller and security can easily spot them. I'm so glad my brother went to Rancho Middle School instead of Russell, at least he wasn't exposed to all that smoking just yet. I know he'll make the right decisions, but if he starts slipping, I'm telling my parents to move us back to Mountain View so he can go to Mountain View High School. Either that, or I'll petition his ass.
