| Happy Divorce For Me! |

My divorce is finalized and that makes me happy. I've been partying the last three days.
On a sad note, I discussed my happiness with Yuping, my student and she was a bit confused why I was happy. But when I explained how we didn't get along and it was a good thing, she seemed happy for me. However, she said I was brave and mentioned how she'd consider similar things if she didn't have kids. I wonder how many times kids make a marriage destined to fail continue regardless. I think of Nancy and Carl and how terrible they seem to feel together at times. I think of my sister who may or not be abusing my nephew, whether intentional or naught, and may abuse my new nephew when he's born.
My onl other happiness resides in the books I've borrowed from the library, all languagy ones. I forgot to get the joy of lex, though. I'll grab that one next time. |
