She sat or stood with him each time a different gf, first her sister, then a undergrad student in forensics, next a woman who could be more likely described as a girl. They never seemed to appreciate him. She watched as her sister said blah blah blah while he discussed psychology or mine disasters. She watched the forensics student get mad because he wouldn't let her eat off his plate. She watched the girl call him an asshole for joking about human leather.
She wrote about his brain and the amazing words he took forever to tell people. She wrote about the things his hands could turn paper into. She wrote about his humor and his openness to all people.
"You've rejuvenated my love for him," his gf the girl said. "You make me see him through new eyes. Your words are amazing." "Thanks, that's exactly what I wanted to do," she lied. She always lied anyway. She lied so much the truth confused her. She had no idea what it was. She wondered if he read what she wrote and hoped he hadn't, or if he had, he didn't get the wrong idea, which would be the truth, but she didn't want him to know.
She was infatuated. |
