I have had an idea. [12 Jul 2003|02:55pm]
[ mood | romantic ]

Yes, I have, really. It's a good idea too.

Aragorn could not stop talking about Lothiriel, whom he has nicknamed Lolita - so cute - on the way home. I think he is quite taken with her. I know she's very taken with him. I will make it my personal project to get them married to each other. It will be so sweet! So adorable! I can't wait to put this plan into action!

What the...? [10 Jul 2003|07:20am]
[ mood | confused ]

*feels as if he is waking from a terrible, fever filled dream*

What the deuce is going on? What is that terrible noise?

*sees Aragorn sitting in the corner whimpering*

Oh, hello, Aragorn. How are you?

*rubs face with both hands*

I feel dirty. And tired. And rather sore. What have I missed? Where's Haldir?

Busy busy busy. [23 Jun 2003|01:26pm]
[ mood | busy ]

Lord Elladan and I have reached a very amicable understanding. I now feel sure that the future of Gondor is assured and we will not be driven into the ground by rulers who are only affected by their own sense of self importance rather than the value of the people of Gondor. I do not speak of anyone specifically, but there have been cases in our history when the rulership of our lands was used for personal gain rather than for the good of the people.

The Council of Gondor has called a session for after dinner this evening, and it is my hope to introduce Lord Elladan to them all at this meeting. I feel he will be a valuable member of the group and his legal skills will work well with those of our own legists. I feel quite confident that Gondor will now be able to move onward into the future, her people taken care of justly and fairly. It is my dream, and now, it seems that it will be so.

Everything has been prepared for our visiting dignitaries. Lady Galadriel has been spending time with various noblewomen, and has enchanted all who have met her. I confess, a kind of ethereal aura surrounds her wherever she goes. She is a remarkable woman. The rest of the ladies are assisting Lady Eowyn with her wedding preparations. As I know my brother has been wrapped up in this, I have taken on many of the burdens of statescraft, hence my feelings about the current political situation.

I have asked Lord Elladan and his wife, Lady Luthien, if they would care to join myself and Haldir for a quiet, private luncheon today. It will give us a chance to discuss things outside of politics and become better aquainted. As political allies, it behooves us to become better aquainted, not to mention that I feel some intelligent and dignified conversation in the midst of the madness will be greatly welcome. I am so glad I have Haldir, I feel that if he was not here to be my rock in the midst of all this, I would crumble and fall.

Plotting is good. [09 Jun 2003|05:07pm]
[ mood | thoughtful ]

I wonder if sneaking a very large firecracker into Elladan's trousers and watching him go 'boom' would cause an international incident. I would, of course, write a very sad letter of condolence to all concerned, but I shall have to consider the situation further.

A Note to Roger. [07 Jun 2003|04:31pm]
Dear Roger,

As regards the State of Gondor and the Person of the King of Gondor, it is in fact state and statutory law that the BODY COPORATE of the STATE of GONDOR and the person of the KING OF GONDOR do in fact belong solely to the people of GONDOR and have no recourse to be anything other than public property and to fulfill the needs of the people.

As so excellently illustrated by the most capable and intelligent ruler of the current time, Lord Elrond, as regards his dealings with the disenchanted and disenfranchised peasants during the sad Potato Rebellion of the Third Age.

How are you finding your accomodations? Do you require any chicken wings to fry?

With warmest regards,

Faramir,
Prince of Ithilien,
Steward of Gondor.

On the State of Gondor [06 Jun 2003|09:25am]
[ mood | annoyed ]

Dear Elladan,

It is with great regret that I inform you that you are in no way, shape or
form, the acting 'Lord of Gondor'. As you are not currently *IN* these fair
lands and are not native to this land or indeed, to this title, I must only
surmise that in your haste to go about your very busy schedule you made a
typo.

With regards,
Faramir,
Prince of Ithilien,
Steward of Gondor.

Home sweet home! [29 May 2003|04:00pm]
[ mood | horrified ]

Well, things seem to be rather quiet...which worries me. Haldir suggested I go looking for Boromir, but my brother would not answer his door. Instead, our dear friend Halbarad appeared, looking very frazzled and worn out. He told me that Aragorn had 'done something' (this being Aragorn, I cannot even begin to imagine what,) to Boromir, and my brother was now full of misery and woe.

Halbarad then went on to tell me that Aragorn wanted some money, despite being given a hefty sum from the Elvan High King, Gil-Galad AND having his debt to Sauron cancelled by a cheque from his grandmother, the beautiful Queen Galadriel of the Golden Wood. I felt that familiar headache right in my temples begin to make itself at home again as Halbarad filled me in on the details.

And then my dear friend told me that Aragorn had gone and placed one of Gondor's priceless heirlooms, nay, a relic of the founding of the line of Kings of Men on EBAY!!!

It cannot be borne!

With the authority I have at my command - and believe me, it is quite extensive - the situation was dealt with. The real Vase was yanked off of ebay and replaced with an excellent Franklin Mint copy. All relics and heirlooms have been placed under lock and key AND retinal scan technology locking system as endorsed by the Dark Lord of The Dance. Only I have access to it.

Clearly, Aragorn is disturbed. To go about such petty theft and auctioneering on ebay! I will most certainly be writing to his father, the esteemed Lord Elrond AND to his grandparents, the equally esteemed Lord Celeborn and Lady Galadriel, AT ONCE! >:0

Time to go home, I suppose. [27 May 2003|11:53pm]
[ mood | worried ]

Well, I guess it is time to reassume my responsibilities and go back to Minas Tirith. Thank the Valar for Haldir. He has helped me so much during this stressful time, but I know I cannot avoid my duties any longer.

We have discussed many things during our time away, and I think we have come to a better understanding of each other. I am truly blessed to have him in my life.

At any rate, I have a sense of trepidation, an unpleasant sensation in my belly, that I will return to the White City only to find it in a state of chaos. I fear this greatly.

I am leaving Minas Tirith for Ithilien. I don't fucking care if I have to live in a fucking cave like a fucking hermit.

Everyone - have a nice life.

Oh, Boromir, sorry, won't be at your wedding. Hope you understand. Actually, I don't give a rats ass if you do or don't understand. You'll get over it with your paramour around. *sneers*

Gondor can burn.

Fuck you all.

Do Not Disturb. [15 May 2003|11:03am]
[ mood | busy ]

Faramir, Steward of Gondor, Prince of Ithilien, cannot be disturbed at this time due to pressing matters of state and chaos involving horses, not to mention the stress and anguish of his bondmate being taken ill with SARs. Please leave a message with the secretary and he will get back to you as soon as things are calmed down.

We're Baa-aack! [11 May 2003|10:03pm]
[ mood | worried ]

Ithilien was just lovely. I had a wonderful time. I went hiking and bush walking and collected plant specimens for the garden. I spent time with Haldir, although when he went walking with me, he seemed more intent on making geological surveys for something or other. He tried to explain it to me, but I have no idea what mobile phone towers and satelite relay networks mean. I supsose I should do a bit of research so I can talk to him about his new interest. It is the only right thing for me to do for my beloved. *beams*

However, he seems to have caught a cold and is sneezing something awful. At the moment, our room has a large bowl of Friar's Balsam by the bed and he is breathing - or trying to - it in. I am so worried.

I have been informed that Boromir and Aragorn are on their way back to Minas Tirith. I recieved a rather curt message from my brother upon my return, it appears his remarkably infamous bad temper is beginning to come out. I worry. A lot.

Letter from Theoden King. [03 May 2003|06:32pm]
[ mood | annoyed ]

I recieved a letter by courier not ten minutes ago and rushed upstairs to inform Eomer and Lady Eowyn of its contents, only to be confronted by the most raucous screaming match. And the servants were fleeing! FLEEING! As if for their very lives!

At any rate, Theoden King feels his mortality is fast approaching and as his only son, Theodred, died in that unfortunate incident with the Orcs, he has instructed me to tell Eomer, his heir, to marry so that a King and a Queen may ascend the throne of Rohan. Also he is thinking of heirs, and does not want his noble line to die if Eomer remains a bachelor.

So I have passed on the message, only I am not sure if it sunk in to Eomer's head, as he was busy yelling insults at his sister. I think I will have to try again - this time using agressive negotiations.

*draws sword*

[ mood | tired ]

I am so tired.

SO TIRED.

I have been run ragged fixing that bloody stupid mess about turning Mordor into a potato farm and making Boromir some emperor of the universe. Bloody hell.

I could sleep for a week. But a night will do I suppose. I hope that Haldir and I will have some time to ourselves on the weekend, I really miss him. *sighs sadly*

He seems to have found something to keep himself occupied though, and I am pleased about that. I just hope he is happy. *frets*

Okay, right. [30 Apr 2003|06:29pm]
[ mood | busy ]

Most things are sorted out now. There will be no invasion of Mordor or Rohan now...although that little mess took me the better part of an entire night to sort out. *rubs temples*

*checks list of things to do*

Ah yes.

*calls for a servant*

Send a fruit basket and this letter of condolence to Lord Elrond at Rivendell for the news regarding his family. Also, ask our fishertradesmen to take a catch of the freshest salmon to him, for it seems someone has stolen the entire stock of salmon from Rivendell. I know we have a fishing fleet not far from there, so it should not take long and the salmon will still be fresh and perfect for eating.

*looks back at list*

Hmm. THere must be grave troubles there, for I have not heard from Glorfindel in ages. I am sad.
