Xabi Alonso is moving to Tottenham Hotspur in Modric switch Xabi Alonso to Spurs as part of Modric deal
It could be the transfer that every Tottenham Hotspur supporters and AVB have been waiting and hoping for....Luka Modric out and Xabi Alonso in!

The latest Transfer Rumours And Gossip journo's are reporting that Xabi Alonso has informed Real Madrid that he does not want to renew his current deal. The Luka Modric saga is thought to be nearing an end, with a £25 million deal having been agreed with Real Madrid, and Tottenham Hotspur wanting the deal to be kept quiet from the media until the replacement for Modric has been announced. The question has to be asked as to why Daniel Levy would suddenly drop his asking price by £15 million, a week after declaring £40 million or no deal? The answer to this question could well be that the transfer is actually £25 million PLUS a player? That would make a lot more sense, with Spurs trying to keep the matter out of the spotlight until personal terms have been agreed with Xabi Alonso.
Xabi Alonso enjoyed a glittering career at Liverpool, helping them to a Champions League win and linking up with Steven Gerrard in what, many may argue, was the best central midfield pairing of all time. I must say, I would definately be one of those agreeing with that statement. Xabi Alonso is a world class central midfielder. The man can do everything. He is a defensive legend, can pick a pass and has exceptional vision. He is a dead ball wizard and long range expert. Xabi Alonso gets goals, assists and drives a team forward. The man is a natural leader and works like a trojan for his team mates. If AVB can bring Xabi Alonso to Tottenham Hotspur, I genuinely believe it will cement AVB in Spurs folklore.
I for one am praying that this deal occurs.

Tottenham Hotspur have had a massive bid rejected for Roberto Soldado Spurs make huge offer for Soldado
The latest Transfer Rumours And Gossip writers are concentrating their efforts on Tottenham Hotspur, and the massive offer the club made to Valencia for striker Roberto Soldado.

It is no secret that Tottenham Hotspur are in desperate need of a strike force, with Jermain Defoe being the only first team striker option for Andre Villas Boas at this point. Spurs open their Premier League campaign in 3 days time. As things stand, AVB will need to choose between Jermain Defoe, who barely started a game under Harry Redknapp and has not found his scoring form in a Spurs shirt for a very long time, or Harry Kane. Harry Kane is a youth player that AVB has given some time to during pre season, following a decent loan spell at Millwall last season. Tobe fair, Kane does look the real deal and will develop into a full international and Spurs hero in the future. However, for a brand new manager with a lot of pressure on his shoulders like AVB, pinning all his hopes on a relatively unproven talent is a massive risk and one that AVB looks uncertain as to whether he is happy taking.
So the search for a proven strike force continues for AVB and Spurs, as the attention turns to Roberto Soldado of Valencia. It has been reported that Spurs offered the 30 million Euro buyout clause that Soldado has in his contract. However, the player has stated he does not want to leave Valencia anytime soon. It is a shame, as Soldado scored 27 times in all competitions last season, helping Valencia to 3rd spot in La Liga. Soldado does sound like a promising prospect. Every Tottenham Hotspur fan will be hoping that the public rejection is just a way to increase the wage offered to Soldado when Spurs go back for another sniff.

Manchester United agree a deal to sign Robin Van Persie for £22 million RVP to Man Utd deal agreed for £22 million
It is the Transfer Rumours And Gossip that no Arsenal fan will want to hear, but it has been confirmed that Robin Van Persie will be leaving Arsenal to join Manchester United for £22 million.

Robin Van Persie had his best season ever last season. As a general rule, RVP has had an amazing start to every season for Arsenal, but would always get an injury around Christmas time that would keep him out until the latter part of the season. Robin Van Persie, whilst clearly a genius when fit, was always frustrating the Arsenal fans with his inconsistant fitness record. Or should I say, consistant fitness record...he has consistantly been injured from December until March or April, as a rule. However, last season saw a fully fit Robin Van Persie firing on all cylinders, and look at what happened! RVP topped the scoring charts and single handedly dragged Arsenal back from the brink of Europa League obscurity to finish 3rd, and beat bitter rivals Tottenham to the final Champions League spot. It is little wonder that Robin Van Persie alerted all the top sides across Europe with the kind or performances he was putting in. It is also little wonder that Robin Van Persie has now decided that the temptation to move to a bigger club has become too much, following talks with Arsene Wenger about the future of Arsenal. It has been reported that Robin Van Persie and Arsene Wenger do not see eye to eye on the direction that Arsenal should be heading, and the ways that the club should build for the future. The result has been Robin Van Persie stating that he does not intend to extend his current contract at Arsenal, which expires next summer. Therefore, Arsenal have the choice between selling RVP now for a profit, or keeping him at The Emirates for one more season and watching him walk away on a free in 12 monthes time. It is a no brainer for Arsene Wenger really, but the future is looking a bit grim with no Robin Van Persie at Arsenal...especially when RVP will be wearing the red of Manchester United come August 18th.

Tottenham Hotspur prepare to sign Pablo Osvaldo Spurs target Roma striker Osvaldo
The latest Transfer Rumours And Gossip writers are today claiming that Tottenham Hotspur boss AVB has turned his sights to AS Roma striker Pablo Osvaldo.

Tottenham have been in the market for a strikeforce for the entire summer transfer window and have been linked with a load of big names including Roberto Soldado, Hulk, Fernando Llorente, Emmanuel Adebayor, Darren Bent and Dimitar Berbatov. However, Spurs have not been successful in securing the services of any of these players, and are currently facing the prospect of starting the new Premier League season with Jermain Defoe as their only recognised senior striker and Harry Kane, who was on loan at Millwall last season. Whilst Kane looks a very good striker and prospect for the future, asking the youngester to lead the line against Newcastle United and beyond may be a little too much, too soon.
So AVB and Daniel levy are still wheeling and dealing and searching for the perfect striker, or strikers, to help round off their new look Tottenham Hotspur team. Pablo Osvaldo may be the answer to their prayers. Osvaldo joined AS Roma from Espanyol last summer and had a very solid first season in the Serie A, netting 11 times and creating 5 goals. It seems Levy and AVB will face a huge battle to secure the signing of Pablo Osvaldo, with new AS Roma boss Zdenek Zeman doing everything within his powers to keep the player at the Stadio Olimpico. Let the battle commence!
