A long time ago, Dwayne and I bought a timeshare together. It was a few months before we got married. We did it because we happened to get a call for an information seminar the week after we had committed to doing more travel.
So, we bought the timeshare. Then we agonized over it. All this money! Payments for seven years! WHAT HAVE WE GOTTEN OURSELVES INTO?
The first two years, we weren't able to use it because of Circumstances. We talked about selling it around the three-year mark. And at the four-year mark. But once we hit five years and still had it, we decided that would be a stupid move to sell since we'd already paid so much of the interest.
Now, my friends [/McCain], the timeshare is paid off. As of yesterday, our final payment was withdrawn and we will never have to make that monthly timeshare payment again!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm off to buy a bottle of Dom to celebrate! (Just kidding. I'll save that for when I get a book deal.)
