shoooooo!!! [24 Jan 2005|06:43pm] another busy weekend. i still have a gammy ear so i went back to the doctor's today and she said the infection is gone but i still might not have my hearing back for 3 weeks! and there's nothing i can do about it apart from wait! though it does have its up side coz it means i don't have to go on the phone and talk to customer's at work. hehe. so, i had the day off on friday and i spent most of it with laura. got the train to hook at midday and she picked me up and we drove into the centre of basingstoke. i bought some classic cds and she showed me the clothing range which is called 'STARK' (which is her surname). i pretended to be impressed! we went to see White Noise and...and it was bloody shit! it was the middle of the day and we were the only people in the whole cinema and they'd put it on the biggest screen. i'm not much of a film buff but laura is so i thought she actually knew whether this movie was good or not but it turns out she only wanted to see it because of the title! trust me, its not worth it! after that we went back to hers, picked up some crap and then drove to sam's, left laura's car at sam's and walked to mine in the freezing cold. it was all rather hectic. sarah came over at about 8pm and the 3 of us sat in my room drinking. and i got to see sarah's new hair. hehe, it looks nice. i was a bit worried it was going to be a little awkward with the 3 of us but laura and sarah seemed to get on really well, especially when they were ganging up on me! oh yeh, me and laura are officially going out now. hehe. she's soooo cute. but yeh, we went to Q and so did praw, christy, dan, sam, liam and um thats about it really! it was a bit empty so it was a bit of a weird night. but not bad. fucking christy kept coming up to me and laura at the most inappropriate times and going 'TEAM CHRISTY' (it has hand movements too!) so yeh, me and laura are part of team christy. and we have no fucking idea why, or what it is. i fucking love that girl! sarah was dancing with us all night and rather drunk which made me happy because it reminded me of ye olden times! at the end i paid for sarah to get a taxi home and then went back to sam's for like the 4th week in a row and snuggled up with laura on the sofa. i think sam's rents are getting a bit suss though so i might stop doing that! laura and i had to leave really early in the morning, like 8am, so we drove to mcdonalds and she bought a breakfast which actually made me want to be sick! then we went back to mine and she basically fell in and out of sleep whilst i annoyed her til about 3pm! then she drove me to the the train station and i went to southampton baby! got there at about 4.30 and my friend alex met me and took me back to his halls. he cooked me dinner and we watched Queer As Folk and got drunk on Reef. could he get any gayer? i think not! then we went and got even more drunk on cheap shots in the student bar before going into town to go to The Edge which is like the only gay club in southampton. it was a well good night, my knees were actually burning from me dancing so much. and there were loads of cute girls which i wasn't allowed to touch! lol! and this crazy dutch bloke who was the funniest dancer, i loved him! we got back to alex's at about 2.30, watched more Queer As Folk and then i fell asleep until midday! which brings us up to yesterday! after we got up and relatively clean alex took me back to the train station and i came home. i went to the pub last night with laura, sam, rich and natalie and we were all really tired and boring but we played the 'i have never...' game for about 3 hours which was a laugh! and later on, when laura dropped me off home we were probably sitting outside my house in her car for about an hour. i think my parent's must be getting a bit suss now. but as long as they don't stop me seeing her i don't really care what they say. the worst bit of this weekend? laura scored a hat trick in her ice hockey game on saturday night and i wasn't there to see it :-( post comment

[19 Jan 2005|10:31pm] So it is Wednesday night and I am a little tipsy as I’ve been at Hardy’s with some girls from work as Susan is off to Central America in a few weeks. They were trying to persuade me to go to Pantiles with them afterwards and if I could of got home I might well have done! One more day at work and then I have my 3 day weekend. Woo! I’m getting up bright and early on Friday because me and Laura are going to see an early showing of White Noise seeing as we couldn’t get in a couple of weeks ago. And then we’re going to somehow get back to mine and drink for the rest of the day. Sounds perfect to me! Ooh, and I’m going down to Southampton on Saturday to go to a gay club with Alex. He came out to his parent’s a few weeks ago and I don’t think it went too well, plus his boyfriend just moved up to Manchester, so I am going to cheer him up. I am not going on the pull though. I don’t want to kiss anyone else apart from Laura *blush* She came over mine after she finished work on Monday and was here til like 2.15am but the tiredness was so worth it. And it was so much fun going up to Cardiff with her on Sunday and watching her play ice hockey. She looks so cute all geared up and its so great to watch someone do something they are so passionate about. Sunday was lots of fun. I might be going up to Solihull with her in a couple of weeks to watch another game which would be coolios. Sadly the cool shop which had a beautiful mushroom bong in it which Christine found when we were in Wales last August was closed so I couldn’t get it. Ho hum. Anyways, I’m off to bed, as soon as I do this quiz! I am: tired and tipsy My hair is: too long. [13 Jan 2005|06:22pm] i am feeling very sorry for myself. lizie has gone off to america, matt has gone off to thailand, i have a hacking cough and it looks like i have an ear infection. it hurtssss lotssssss. but hopefully i can get a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning. well, i have to really otherwise i'm screwed and will spend the whole weekend in agony. my work is so ghey though that if you are off ill more than twice in your 6 month probabtion period (i've been on permanent staff for only 2 and a half months) they can sack you. my ear feels like its about to fall off and i might get sacked. great! and why do i feel so shitty at the end of the week? i haven't seen laura all week and now i'm going to be a moany arse all weekend. we're going on a road trip to cardiff on sunday coz she's got a hockey match there. well, i'm not going to miss it, even if i am half deaf! good news- i have an interview (they only let people into the course i want to do via interview) for my uni course at brighton on february 16th. woo! woo! so hopefully i won't fuck that up :) they are at least thinking about letting me go there! and now for the rest of the night i am going to have a bath and go to bed. and feel very sorry for myself. but hooray for the weekend. extra hooray as reed (the agency i used to work for) have randomly given me £90 and i don't know why! so i'm going to go to the rock box on saturday and get lots of cds! :-D 1 comment|post comment

[02 Jan 2005|01:14pm] [ mood | confused ] bleurgh, i am tired! i had a really nice random night last night. i was in my pyjamas all of yesterday after lizie and giles left at about 2ish and just not doing much and texting laura at about 11.30pm. and i basically ended up with her round sam's house with jenny and liam. the latter 2 were there til about 1.30 and then the 3 of us just sat and watched tele and drank and talked crap all night! sam passed out at about 3.30 and me and laura spent hours talking about loads of crap and taking the piss out of each other and i had loads of fun. I told her loads of embarrassing stuff like having to get rid of my dreads coz of nits and my sleepwalking. She’s keeping a tally sheet of all the stupid things I say and all I have to use against her is she said ‘sho’ instead of ‘so’ and something else about an apple composing. It doesn’t really make any sense unless you were there! On Friday I am going to dress up like the blonde woman from abba and be ready to hand her a drink as soon as she gets in to Q and then she’s going to pretend she doesn’t know me for the rest of the night and shout things at me. Its all planned. This is what happens when you watch the Magic music channel for about 6 hours non stop. you know how you pull someone when you're drunk and then you see them again and wonder what the hell you were thinking? well that's what usually happens with me but i really like laura. she's really cute and funny and doesn't seem shy at all. i'm not really sure what's going on though. she was kind of talking like us pulling each other was all it was, not that she said that, thats just the feeling i got. but she's really cool and i like her loads so hopefully i am wrong. i don't know, these things confuse and scare me. *AAAAAAHHHHH* and now i am very very tired. i am also paranoid and a bit confused. people are going to the pub and not inviting me! and i feel very sad and unsocialable. and people have seen fi and i'm really confused as to what i'm supposed to be doing. i thought she didn't want to see anyone. now i'm thinking she just doesn't want to see me. and i don't know why. i didn't even send her my new number (i did text j though) coz i thought she really, really didn't want any contact at all. did i get that totally wrong? post comment

[16 Nov 2004|06:37pm] i love books, i'm such a geek. i have only just started reading this amazingly insightful book called 'sexing the body'. its so interesting. and so great when you find someone who not only thinks the same as you but also adds to your understanding of things. how sex, gender, sexual orientation, race etc, none of them are either or. its all one massive continuum. just look at how different a person's shade of skin from iceland is to that of somone from say italy. yet they're both supposedly white. it just shows how empty and meaningles all these labels are. and how much choice we have in defining ourselves. ok, yeh, i'm obviously not going to come out and say i'm black but the fact that i identify as white really doesn't mean much. just as the facts that i would also identify myself as a woman. sure, in my case to look at me that makes sense but not for everyone. i'm just rambling now. its just a really interesting book and it really got me thinking. and i'm going to the anarchist bookfair in london the saturday after next so i get to buy lots more interesting books. woo! :-D 1 comment|post comment

hello again [13 Nov 2004|06:21pm] sooo, what have i been up to? went to reading today with lauren as she stayed over mine after Q last night. i bought christy's xmas present which isn't what i was going to get her but i still think its funny. i also got a couple of books from oxfam (one of them signed by naomi wolff *ooh, aah*) and talked to some palestinian protest people who were very lovely. and they were selling a dead wasp on a fake flower in a glass dome in t k maxx. very random. i finally got my septum pierced again, and it hardly hurt at all! i was a bit scared because not only is the septum thick cartilage but this time it would be going through a slight scar. aldershot just suck me thinks. and talking about that, i found a book in fopp about the 100 worst towns in the country and aldershot was in it, and rightly so! Q was good last night as giles and lizie were there which was lovely. and it was irish's birthday. woo! i've been put on permanant contract at work which is cool and i'm still enjoying it though evil fake flirty jenny bint seems to have a tendency for sacking people, especially girls, so i still don't feel very secure. saving is going alrightish so that is cool. bought loads of new clothes recently, nice and cheap. lalala. um, i have purple hair again which i love. i have new glasses which cost a fuckload but look much nicer than my old ones and i needed them because my eyes are getting even worse. i had my hair cut which means its all the same length now and kind of under control at last! my cat has diabetes :-( i don't want to talk about that because it makes me sad. we have to inject him twice a day and it might not make him better anyways. he seems alright in himself though. my poor booboo. he's not as poodgey as he used to be either *sniff* got the dentists wednesday after next and going xmas shopping with sarah and to check out the tattoo studio in basingstoke as i took the day off. um, my uni stuff is slowly getting sorted out, i just have to get back in touch with the right people at college to see if my reference has been done and then find out about paying. then sit back and hope i get into brighton. i'm on a diet and its going ok. i'm not very good at exercise though, especially as its all dark and cold and stuff now. um, might be going to a strip club, then the candy bar on rickshaws for this random girl sophia's 21st next weekend as christy met her at havoc. very, very random! praw is pissed off at me and random people i don't even know are commenting on our friendship saying i 'stabbed her in the back' which infact i never have. and i'm not entirely sure how i can fix it so i'm just leaving it for a bit to see if she becomes less pissed off with me. it was really getting me down at the beginning of last night so i'd rather not talk about it really. because apart from being a shitty friend and too tired to do anything most of the time i'm sorting out lots of little things in my life which are making me feel better. oh, and having a girlfriend to stop me being so bloody lonely would be nice too, but i suppose you can't have everything. ho hum. xxx post comment

another four fucking years [03 Nov 2004|08:08am] i actually had a little cry this morning about the state of the world, one that looks like its going to have bush cavorting all over it for another 4 years. what the hell is wrong with americans? see, i get torn here because i don't believe in the validity in any of these so called democracies but god, at a time like this you'd just have to go out and vote for the lesser of 2 evils. govermental democracy is not freedom. it is not democracy. don't ever be fooled. out of a nation of hundreds of millions it boils down to 2 grey-haired white men having any chance of becoming the most powerful man on earth? it boils down to a few hundred thousand voters in a few 'swing states'. it boils down to 2 political parties that are always going to be right of centre. and this is the same all over the western world. where i live there is no point even thinking about voting labour because they just won't get in. you either vote conservertive because you're a tory or lib dem because you're not a tory. what a load of shit. its days like this that make my views so much stronger. but sadly also days like this seem to show how hard it will be to ever see my dreams come true. sigh, political rant over. hell knows what the world is going to look like in 4 years time. i'm scared. i'm angry. and i don't understand americans. well. maybe i do, and that is what scares me. the most liberal country in the world!? hmm, try looking at holland. the most democratic country in the world!? um, switzerland anyones? post comment

rome baby!
