I've decided not to update this journal any more.

livejournal.com is much more reliable and user-friendly as far as special features go.
I won't be deleting this journal- I just won't be updating it anymore.

In less than 24 hours (around 1 pm) I'll be hopping in a limo to the airport. Then we wait and wait and board the plane some time around 6 or 7 pm. Then it's a seven and a half hour flight plus 5 hour time change and I'll arrive in London Thursday morning. I'll be staying in London for 2 days. Thursday I'm finally going to meet my penpal Lottie with whom I've been corresponding for over 2 years. How cool is that? The whole family is going on this trip which has its drags and perks. The main perk is being able to travel around the city with Mary or WILL rather than with my folks, as my siblings have more similar interests than my parents.
Then we're visiting mom's penpal Jane in Cornwall and possibly checking out the world's largest tropical greenhouse (The Eden Project- look it up, it's wicked). Then we drive up to Scotland with stops on the way to the castle my GreatX3 Grandad was honored at with a royal castle key or summat. Then it's up to Glasgow and Edinburgh for more fun and family history, not to mention another penpal of mine and her friends. See, when I was in London last year with a writers group, a Scottish school was staying at the same dorm building. I met Chloe , Bella, and Marc. Marc's since moved to another school, but I've stayed in touch with Chloe and sort of (but not really) Bella. Hopefully, I'll be able to meet up with the pair of them in Edinburgh.

I uploaded all of that instead of packing.. eheh.. i'll get it done- i have all of today. I started packing some make-up, and ended up playing instead.
That hair gloss stuff really works. I've been using the red because I want my strawberry blonde hair to come back (the beach sun lightened it a lot). So far so good, plus it's super soft, so I highly recommend.. uhm.. John Frieda's luminous color glaze: radiant red.
I will not have my cell phone in my travels. I'll have it off and at home, so don't bother. You can email me though at britishbroccoli@gmail.com for any reason. I may have a bit o' internet access in my travels.
EDIT: Joel's dad took this picture before prom at Susie's house. It was the first time I saw his mother in months and I was crazy nervous, as you might be able to see (half standing/hiding behind joel, nervously flattening dress, big fake smile, scared eyes).
I aged it to make it purty. I realized I have to post this now because I probably can't later. Why at all? I'm going to be in the United Kingdom for our 6 month (half a year wtf) anniversary. So yeah.. celebrating it a bit early *throws streamers*

Muchos de internet problems. We haven't been able to get the router working since the 1 second power outage yesterday afternoon. Brother is expected to be here any minute now, so he'll hopefully be able to set things straight.
In the mean time, it's all reading and knitting for me.
I can't log on to the internet on my computer (the one with all the beach week pics), so here's an old pic from halloween 2004. I put my waldo glasses and hat on Heather. She wasn't best pleased.
Lightning is picking up here.. so I'm off to reread Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Hopefully the internet will be back on by the time I've finished it!

Beach week! I made sand castles for all of us with peoples' initials below them. Sam helped a little and made the mound that became his in the middle.

Everything is so exciting. Next wednesday I'm leaving until July 11th/12th. UK here I come! Woo. We're taking a limo to and from the airport! I've ALWAYS wanted to do that. It's not for show even- with 5 people plus 5 suitcases plus 5 carry ons, even the hummer would be packed. This is so groovy. Maybe I'll dress all posh... it won't matter as I'm with my family I won't be mistaken as famous or something, but it can still be fun.
While we're gone, my future sister-in-law is going to watch the dogs which is so good because they positively hate going to the shelter place.
I'm also finally getting a working car GPS. Thank heavens. I will never forget ending up in some industrial park near Frederick with Mary when I meant to be in Milestone. Nerr...
Apparently Cuginni's is going to start selling Gelato. Supposedly, today you can stop by for a free sample.

I've been really busy
Blimp at the sod farm.
I saw Spamalot at the national theater last night. It was amazing with songs from several over pieces, references to other plays, and a bit o' audience singing at the end. AMAZERING.
The other day i was driving to Joel's house and I saw either a wild turkey or an injured turkey vulture walkin around.
Note the devilish turkey face.
Just kidding.. I like turkeys.

Today I graduate with the class of 2006 (go figure).
I was wearing a pretty dress. As pretty as the dress was, it was amazingly uncomfortable. I realized that, although this is a once in a lifetime event (high school graduation, that is), it's not prom. I can actually be comfortable. So I will be in my talent show top and skirt with flats. So there.
