4:42p - So tired
Yesterday I worked from 8:30 am till 9:30 pm. Today I worked from 8 am till 4:30 pm. I am beat.
I LOVE my new job at the daycare. The kids are so sweet. The people that work there are so nice and helpful. The parents are nice, too. And the day flies by. The kids eat breakfast till 9, watch cartoons till 10. Then we color and read stories and sing until 11:30. Then, I change their diapers and they eat lunch. After lunch, they get cleaned up and have free play until 12:30. They nap until 3. They get changed again and then they have free play and tv until they go home. Their routine is so varied that the day goes by so quick.
The only thing that sucks is that I don't like my aide. She is 18 and fucked up. As soon as I met her, she told me how she got kicked out of school for throwing a cinder block through someone's car window. And I don't like how she is with the kids. She plays favorites with them and talks bad about the ones she does not like. They are 2 and 3! Don't talk shit on babies! She also tries to order me around. I am the teacher. I am the one with a college degree. She needs to learn to back off. I hear there is a high turnover rate with the aides so I hope she leaves soon. She looks through the want ads every day while the kids nap so I am sure she is on her way out.
I am off to eat and then I am coming back to catch up on comments. Sorry I have been neglecting all my Blurty buds!
