3:59p - The storm is brewing...
The local news channels have their collective panties in a bunch over the hurricane. They are telling people to get water and batteries in case of power outages. They are saying to close windows and move things away from the walls. It is scary but that is how our local news is. They try to turn everything into a huge story. Here is what the weather channel is saying

... THE REMNANTS OF ISABEL EXPECTED TO ARRIVE ACROSS NEW YORK AND PENNSYLVANIA LATE TONIGHT AND FRIDAY...
HURRICANE ISABEL WAS MAKING LANDFALL ALONG THE NORTH CAROLINA COAST AS OF MIDDAY THURSDAY. IT IS FORECAST TO WEAKEN AS IT TRACKS THROUGH VIRGINIA AND WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA TONIGHT... EVENTUALLY REACHING WESTERN NEW YORK FRIDAY AFTERNOON.
STRONG WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP OVERNIGHT ACROSS NORTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA AND CENTRAL NEW YORK. THE STRONG WINDS WILL PERSIST THROUGH FRIDAY. FOR THIS REASON... A WIND ADVISORY HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR LATE TONIGHT AND FRIDAY.
IT IS ANTICIPATED THAT RAIN WILL SPREAD INTO NORTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA LATE TONIGHT AND ACROSS CENTRAL NEW YORK BY FRIDAY MORNING. RAIN MAY BE HEAVY AT TIMES AS TROPICAL RAIN BANDS MOVE ACROSS THE AREA. ANY HEAVY RAINFALL COULD TRIGGER LOCALIZED FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL STREAMS AND CREEKS. HOWEVER AT THIS TIME... PROJECTED RAINFALL DOES NOT APPEAR GREAT ENOUGH TO CAUSE SIGNIFICANT FLOODING OF MAIN STEM RIVERS. LARGE RISES IN RIVER LEVELS AND MINOR FLOODING IS POSSIBLE FROM FRIDAY INTO THE WEEKEND.
THE EXPECTED PATH OF ISABEL PLACES CENTRAL NEW YORK AND NORTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA WITHIN A FAVORED AREA FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ON FRIDAY... AND EVEN ISOLATED TORNADOES....
I am going to Shasta's tonight to watch Survivor. I am very excited. I have a feeling this will be a really good season.
I went to pick up my pathetically small paycheck today. I went to the bank and came straight home. The bank said they would call today so I wanted to wait for her call (hence, the late update). She finally called at 3:30 and I have another interview on Wednesday at 1:30. I need to leave work early to go. I hope they aren't too mad.
I finally finished redecorating my living room. It is a "French wine" theme. All of the pictures have French words and pictures of wine and wine related accessories. I think it looks really good. My favorite is this picture of a Frence menu with a listing of wines and the prices. It is very authentic looking.
The wind is starting to pick up. They think it may thunder and lightening and that frightens me. I think I may spend the night at Shasta's because I hate storms and this may be a big one.
