2:09a - Don't burn the day....away
I am bored so I figured I would update. 12 days till the DMB concert. I will be so close he can sweat on me *drools*. Ugh. Waiting sucks. 17 days till Laura's birthday. 28 days till my birthday. I have a feeling it will be a drunken 2 weeks.
Cassie called a while ago and asked if I wanted to go out. Then, her boyfriend called and said he lost his ID. She decided to go to a party house. I didn't want to go because I feel weird going because I don't go to Wilkes anymore. Plus, I am 23 and a bit old for house parties. Especially the ones here. So I passed on going out. I was really tired anyway.
I don't want to turn 23. I wish I was still in high school. I loved high school. My mom bought me everything. I went to school all day and hung out with my friends. We never did any work. We just talked and had fun. I wish I was 15 again. It is weird to wish you were younger. You think about all the stuff you would have done differently. I would change a lot.
At the bar the other night I met this guy who went to King's (our "rival" school). I said to him "Wilkes is better" and he agreed. It was so funny because, when he said he went to King's, he said it so proudly, like he was busting with school spirit or something. And just to talk to a girl he agreed that my school was better. I thought it was funny. I kept saying stuff and he kept saying "Me too" or "I agree" and it was pissing me off. Damn, have your own fucking opinions once in a while. Guys will say anything to get laid. I told him to get lost because I didn't like how he agreed with everything I said.
Cassie's boyfriend and I had this in depth conversation about how Brittney Spears is a dirty whore. King's guy agreed, of course, but you could tell he wanted to screw her. We also talked about how the Olesen twins are just weird. How can you be around someone so much and not want to kill them? I could never spend that much time with the same person. And why are they still popular? They make movies for 8 year olds and have a clothing line at Wal Mart. Why were they at the VMAs? They aren't REALLY famous. And it is just icky that guys who used to watch them on Full House want to bang them. Isn't that kiddie porn or something?
Well, it is very late and I am getting sleepy (can't you tell by the randomness of my post?) so I am off to dream land.

VIENNA (Reuters) - If you must smoke, at least make sure you have a glass of red wine in the other hand.
Researchers said Sunday there were enough beneficial chemicals in two glasses of red wine to suspend the harmful effect that smoking one cigarette has on the functioning of arteries.
That does not prove regular red wine drinking can counteract the harm of chronic smoking, John Lekakis and Christos Papamichael of University Hospital in Athens told the annual meeting of the European Society of Cardiology.
But the finding does suggest that red wine -- long seen as good for the heart when drunk in moderation -- may provide clues in the hunt for new drug candidates capable of reversing smoking's harmful effects.
The scientists used a Greek red wine, rich in chemicals known as polyphenols, for their experiment on 16 healthy volunteers. They established that alcohol was not the cause of the beneficial effect by testing an alcohol-free version, which worked just as well. from http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=594&ncid=594&e=1&u=/nm/20030831/hl_nm/health_wine_smoking_dc
So I can smoke and, in order to reverse the effects, I can get drunk as well. Thank you, researchers!
