Welcoming 2008 [02 Jan 2008|05:44pm]
[ music | Madonna - Madonna - Hung Up (Addiction 80s Mix Edit) ]

Christmas went by without any fanfare. Uneventful? Yes, it was.

For reasons I intend to keep to myself and share only to some close friends, I didn't join the annual barkading Christmas dinner. My team didn't have a Christmas party either. My tL is on leave until the 2nd week of January. And just like the recent years, I snubbed our annual family reunion on my mother's side of the family. Kaka-bore na rin kase e, same old stuff. Plus my favorite cousins are already based in Marinduque so there aren't to many reasons to go if there are some at all. Hindi na rin kami binibigyan ng aguinaldo ng tito ko, hmph!!! And no he's not stingy. He's one of the engineers behind the palace of the sultan in Brunei, so this one's rich. I'm talking about 1k money diown here! Waaaah!

The only official Christmas gathering that I actually attended was our family noche buena which didn't say a lot, too. I didn't even have a Christmas wish list though I wish now that I made one hahaha!

So I'll just make new year's resolutions which aren't many but are major.

1. Be semi-vegetarian most of the time. Most of the time because I know there will be times that I will fail. Nakatadhana na 'yan, who am I kidding. At one point magpapaka-Yasmien Kurdi din ako (who claims that she is vegetarian pero nahuli daw kumakain ng barbeque, and she threw a fit when she was asked in an interview under a lie detector test if it's true that she was eating pork barbeque. La puta answered no, but the lie detector said she's lying so mega ngawa si bakla wahahhaha! Kakaloka lang!) I know that I can never be vegan, good heavens! I simply love eggs and dairy products, I can't let go of them. And I also can't be lactoovo-vegetarian because I love seafood like crazy! So semi-vegetarian it is. I'll just eliminate meat from my diet because I can get protein from other sources, and I'm not too hot on beef and pork anyway. Parang I'm only eating them because they're there, but I don't necessarily crave for them.

There are many reasons why a person goes vegetarian--- for environmental reasons, for love of animals and for health reasons. Mine would be the latter. My family is diabetic. It's like a curse. And I'm not getting any younger. If I want to live a long and healthy life I simply have to act NOW.

2. Exercise regularly, take a sport seriously, and be more physically active. Badminton, jogging, swimming from time to time, sit ups, pushups, maybe workout in a gym. The works.

3. Finally achieve my ideal weight and body figure. I know that I can do it in a year's time. I recently saw a screen capture of Aljur Abrenica in his trunks, and shit, I want his body but with a bigger chest. I don't want any bulging muscles, I just don't want any flabs. BILBIL, layuan mo ako! Wahahaha!

4. Regular facial and massage. Feel ko lang hahaha!

5. Finally be punctual. I want to change!! Lord, help me change!

2008 is going to be a year of change for me. A change of work environment. A change of place I would eventually have to call home. A change of circle of friends. A change of lifestyle. Everything will change and hopefully for the better. Cebu, bring out the best in me!
