William Shatner (feat. Ben Folds and Aimee Mann) - That's Me Trying |

Just when I thought that everything fell into place. But yeah, they actually did.
I applied for a part time position as an editor for Korean high school essays in Ivoline last July. I needed extra cash, and I have some idle time to spare, so I tried it out. Medjo magulo ang recruitment process nila. Hindi maayos ang pagbibigay ng exams and interview and too much wait time. In my opinion, a company that makes you wait for an unreasonable amount of time says much about how disorganized their HR is. So bad impression siya agad sa'ken. So finally, after almost spending 3 hours in their office waiting for my turn to take an exam, write an essay, edit a sample essay and be interviewed, they told that they're just gonna inform me of the results through phone.
And they did naman. After 4 months nga lang, kamusta naman 'yun. So Wednesday of last week, this HR girl from Ivoline called me on my cel and asked if I was still interested for the part time post, but they'd be giving me the English instructor for Koreans position, and I was up for a final interview. So to cut the story short, I went there Friday last week, passed the interview, and the contract signing and training were on Monday the following week na rin.
What's amazing is I'm practically available that entire week. My rest days this week fell on Monday and Tuesday. I had to go work on Wednesday though, but suspended ako ng Thursday to Saturday (because of excessive tardiness mwhahahaha!! 2nd time ko na 'to to be suspended for the said offense hihi!). Ang galing lang, parang it really gave way for the 1 week classroom training with Ivoline.
Olats ang training. I swear. I won't go into details na basta olats ahahaha! And star for a day ako dun hahaha! Ako ang laging ginagawang example ng trainer. Kapag may pinapabasang phrase, sa akin pinapabasa muna aloud. I swear, the trainees there should work on their intonations. Nakaka-ear bleed lang. I'm very lucky to have had very good English teachers in grade school, Na-practice talaga kame with correct pronunciations of the vowel sounds and reading aloud. Doesn't mean I'm smarter, but I just know the correct and proper intonation when reading things. In fairness may interesting people dun. There's this cute long haired guy who's a Palanca winner and the bassist of Ang Bagong Lumad by Joey Ayala. Syempre I told him how much I love Joey Ayala and his music. Sayang hindi ako nakahingi ng complimentary tickets sa Conspiracy hahaha!
Anyhoo, I dropped the training on Tuesday. Hindi sulit ang allowance and magkakaron din ako ng schedule conflict. Ako rin mahihirapan in the long run. And feeling ko lang stressful turuan mag-English ang mga Koreans hahahaha!
Oh well. Maybe things that fall into their proper places aren't always right for you.
