Wamdue Project feat. Heather Johnston - Washes Over You |

So this is my first entry after the snob episode about 2 weeks ago where I've decided to restrict my entries for friends only. Actually, I'm taking it back. I'll be putting up entries which I deem to be "too" personal and with pictures for a week, after which I'll be locking them in for friends only archive.
Here's why. MOD's feature cover on Chin-Chin is out this month, and since Ate Aby wrote the cover story (or so she thought), she googled "Chin-Chin Gutierrez MOD Magazine", and what came up as one of the results was this. Seeing her pictures with her former co-workers, nag-freak out si guguh. Baka daw makita nila Zarko and Kara. Baka daw mademanda siya. Paranoid lang. I-delete ko daw 'yung entry. Of course I didn't and I won't hahahah! So I just locked it up. Eh kamusta naman ang mga mahahalay at makamundo kong comments kay Zarko di'ba?! Wahahahahha! But I'm not bothered if she got to read them (and of course she did). What I'm bothered about is that if it was that easy for my sister to bump into my blog accidentally, just how much easier is it for others who will be (or who might already have) searching for my blog intentionally. Suddenly, natakot ako na baka my personal entries will be used against me for one reason or another. Thus, isnabera mode muna ang baka. Ahahahhaa!
So anyway, MOD's November issue with Chin-Chin on the cover is out. Ay, ang ganda ganda ni ate! Ang bata niya tignan, like 10 years younger! When I looked for the magazine, I had to look at it again to make sure it's her.

May story jan actually. I was in the photo shoot, but I was outside the studio. Mainit and maliit ang studio, and I really had no business there. I just accompanied my Ate Aby, and since it was through my intervention that she got to interview Chin-Chin, it would a be a lot more comfortable daw if I was there. She's supposed to be interviewing Chin-Chin during makeup and hairstyle intervals, but Chin begged off because of a terrible headache. Nakakunot lang ang noo niya all the time. My sister said she snapped at the hair stylist pa nga daw because the hair stylist used spraynet on her. Syempre being the environmentalist that she is, she gave the hair stylist a short lecture on the negative effects of CFC's in the environment and on how she ought to switch to organic hair products hahahaha!

So the makeup artist and stylist, Jake Galvez (who's a major cutie and looks like a lighter and shorter version of Gardo Versoza. Effem, yes, but cutie talaga I can imagine myself making patol hahahha!), had her hair teased. Imagine The Supremes or Beyonce in Dreamgirls--- teased hair, heavy eye shadow and all that.

When he was done, Chin had a final look She said she looked old and like her character in Maging Sino Ka Man, Corazon. So they let her hair down and softened her makeup. Much to the dismay of Jake because later on, when he had yosi break outside the studio (this was in Astoria Plaza in Ortigas, by the way), he was talking to this other gay costume designer or something. Syempre I was there, and I overheard what they talked about. Natawa na lang ako hahaha! Jake was like, "Na-haggard ako kay bakla. Everything was ok na tapos biglang pinapalitan, she looks old daw. That's precisely the point e, vintage kase ang theme. Nakaka-haggard talaga. But she's ok, and kering keri niya naman mag-project, that's where she's very good at. Last night nga I watched Maging Sino Ka Man just to study her profile, and I was really impressed, galing galing niya umarte." Ahahhahha! So as much as I love Chin, I really can't hate the guy because nakakaloka nga naman 'yun diba. Waste of time and effort. But I think Chin made a sound decision naman because she just looks fabulous in the pictures! She's a professional model since she was 16 so more or less alam naman niya what looks good on her or not di'ba.
This photo shoot was last July pa. My sister had to reschedule her interview with Chin-Chin the next day over lunch because of her terrible headache nga. She went to a reflexologist right after the shoot. She had other photos pa in the issue, all very glamorous and may feel of Sampaguita/ LVN days. Parang she's right up there with Gloria Romero, Amalia Fuentes and Susan Roces. Very classy and classic.

And lemme just say na ang kapal ng mukha ng MOD, and I just wish their editors google "MOD" and come across this entry ahahahha!! Ang kapal ng mukha niyo at napaka-unprofessional pa! They didn't use my sister's article which is, of course, disappointing for my sister because the interview daw was went very well, and she loves Chin din na if it were any other celebrity, she would not have felt that disappointed. But ok na rin daw since they credited her naman for the interview and report. They probably deemed it as too intellectual for a glamour magazine, but used most of her interview with Chin-Chin anyway. Ang kapal talaga! Good luck na lang kung bayaran pa nila ang sister ko. So after their November issue, I say boycott MOD! Mga leche!
