Wally Lamb's She's Come Undone. It's an Odyssey kind of novel that's about self discovery and acceptance. I'm 3/4 through at bitchesa lang si Dolores Price in the earlier parts of the book. Funny siya sa middle part and you feel for her in the latter parts, but now it's kinda dragging., and I'm only a few chapters away from the ending. But ang galing lang ni Wally Lamb, considering he's male, capture na capture niya ang character ni Dolores--- her wants, her needs, her fears and her joy. It's a good read din. I just can't put the book down on some parts because it's getting more interesting page after page. The novel is a black comedy, but I don't find it as funny as say, Frank McCourt's Angela's Ashes.
Next read: Alice Sebold's Lovely Bones.

Amy Winehouse's Back to Black. Panalo lang si Ate Amy, I loves her!! Her vocals are powerful and soulfull; her songs are very passionate and jazzy and catchy. I love Rehab, Loving is A Losing Game and Tears Dry on Their Own (astig ng hairdo ni Amy sa video!). Listen to it. Like now na.
Panalo din ang Testimony: Vol. 1, Life & Relationship by India.Arie. One word: inspirational. Tipong kahit anong laki ng galit mo at pagka-bitter sa buhay after a failed relationship or whatnot, when you listen to this album, your pain and hurt will be gone. India sings with passion and sincerity. She knows your pain because it's hers as well as she frees her heart of hatred by singing it out.
With lyrics like I've been trying to live without you now/ But I miss you, baby/ The more I know, the less I understand/ And all the things I thought I figured out, I have to learn again/ I've been tryin' to get down to the Heart of the Matter/ But my will gets weak/ And my heart is so shattered/ But I think it's about forgiveness/ Forgiveness/ Even if, even if you don't love me anymore from the Heart of the Matter and Good morning independence or is it loneliness?/ I know I said I wanted this but I have regrets/ I pray for God's will to be done/ The very next day you were gone from Good Morning, magpapaka-Bitter Ocampo ka pa ba (as my friend, Boi Bitch, puts it)?!?!
So if you're lonely or in pain, go na, listen to the album, it will make your heart light. Here's the beautiful India.Arie singing Heart of the Matter and a little bonus, her own version of Umbrella. Yep, hindi lang si Mandy Moore ang may cover. In fairness, classic naman talaga ang Umbrellla na song. I expect more covers of it to come.

She-ra: Princess of Power in Youtube and just about anything in the internet wahahahah!
Oh I miss She-ra!!! Youtube is the shit talaga. When I was in grade school, I used to watch it secretly because it's so freaking gay at nakakahiya wahahaahhaha! Watching it now, I appreciate it all the more. What it lacks in animation, it compensates with good script and story. May times pa nga na napapaiyak ako, no joke mwahahaha! Just like this scene. Ang fab ng script! Soaaaarring! Ahahaha! I missed Adora, the hunky He-man, the very funny Madam Raaz (Oh, dearie my!), the gigolo looking Bo and the adorable Cowell among its other characters.
You can find She-ra episodes here and here. Watch them all over again and relive your (gay) childhood ahihihihi! For the honor of Grey Skull!
God bless forums like Movieforumz that feature movie links from DIVX and Veoh! Ay movie marathon galore ito talaga hahahah!
Over the past weeks, I was able to watch:
1. Eternity. Classic talaga ang beauty ni Iza Calzado but somehow hindi believable ang acting nila ni Dingdong Dantes that they were living in the Spanish era. Jaclyn Jose's short appearance was memorable. Effortless si Nanay Jaclyn. Parang huminga lang, acting na. Deadma na kay Jennylyn Mercado. I never liked her, but she can act. The movie was so-so. Pang-TV lang siya, nasayang lang ang costume and set design.
2. 'Til I Met You. Like ko talaga ang tambalang Regine-Robin heheheh pero better pa rin ang Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw. Effortless ang pagpapakilig nila dun e, dito medjo trying hard. Regine Velasquez was good pero may iba talagang mannerisms si ate na nakaka-distract, but in love ako kay Robin. Pagka-gwapo at karismatiko! At kamusta naman ang bulge sa kanyang fitted jeans ahhaahha! It's an ok movie. I liked the ending.
3. Hannibal Rising. Pagka-glamor talaga ni hot mama Gong Li, walang kupas! I should write about her soon. And she's playing Japanese. Again. Somehow though I prefer her acting in subtitles. Or maybe her role as Lady Murasaki just wasn't challenging enough. And ang yummyness ni Gaspard Ulliel as the young Hannibal Lecter! I want to taste! With flava beans! Mwahahahha!
4. Notes on a Scandal. Sa totoo lang I found the story boring. Ewan ba. And parang walang chemistry si Judi Dench and Cate Blanchett on screen. But they're very good with their individual performances. Judi Dench is a powerhouse. This is maybe her most challenging role since Mrs. Brown. Magaling naman kase talaga umarte si Dame Judai, she makes it seem like not acting at all. Mama Cate was very good especially in her confrontation scene with the Dench, but this is a Judi Dench movie so medjo on the background lang si Cate. But she's gorgeous in this movie. Gorgeous with a big G. Loves her.
5. Saw III. Kadiri, the yuch-iest among the trilogy, and I loves it. Enough said. Hahahaha.
