Philippine Madrigal Singers - Circle of Life |

Met up with barkadings Marjo (and Ed, his boyfriend), Ver, Gerald, and Bien a while ago in Starbucks, Mega Strip to watch the free show of the Philippine Madrigal Singers in the Atrium of Mega Mall. They promoted their new album called Acclamation. The show started at 4pm and ended at 5:30pm. Mahaba din.
What can I say?! Napakahusay ng Madz! Brava!! Stupenda!! Magnifica! They started the show with the liturgical song I Will Sing Forever followed by another liturgical song and then You Raise Me Up and Lupa. They also sang standard love songs like 'Til There was You, When I Fall in Love and Only You. Followed by folk songs like Bahay Kubo, Leron, Leron Sinta and Chitchiritchit. Then the girls sang a song about paglalaba in the batis and then the guys sang Minamahal Kita. But their most applauded song was Circle of Life from the musical The Lion King. Sobrang galeng naman kase talaga nila as in kuhang kuha ang animal sounds. Nakakapangilabot. I was so shocked that they sang Bituing Walang Ningning because I really wanted to hear them sing it live, but I wasn't expecting that they'd sing it, but they did. I swear, I was holding back my tears. Feel na feel ko talaga ang song, and I loved it. As in tumayo lahat ng balahibo ko sa katawan. I love love love it!!! I love Madz, I swear!!!!!! Then they sang some more songs, I forgot na lang the titles, but their encore was Tagumpay Nating Lahat.
May crush pa akong isa doon. I super love his voice. He looks so Filipino, sabi ni Ver mukha daw aeta hahahhaha! But I swear, I love him!!! Was able to take a picture of Madz pero mejo malabo. Hmph.

Spent the rest of the evening with friends. Ver bought an Ipod video U2 edition. Whaaa!! I want that!! And then we went to Congo Grille in El Pueblo at around 8pm to meet up with former highschool classmates. It was one of our former highschool classmates' birthday kase. And he just got back from his work South Africa. Ate light dinner there and we went home na rin at past 11pm. Gerald went with me and slept over at my place.
