Hay, July talaga is the month of beauty! Ahahahha!!! 4 out of my 6 barkading celebrate their birthdays on July. Marjo's birthday is on 3 while Ver and Gerald share their birthday with Ate Clau (Meaning, Claudine Baretto. Ate Clau daw talaga o!??!?! Ahahhaha!!!) on 20. Belle, my team leader, just celebrated her birthday last Monday. And of course, I'll be celebrating mine on 27. Ahaahhaha!! I have yet to meet someone na chaka who celebrates his or her birthday on July hahaha!
And as if our birthdays aren't enough, Miss Universe was held last Monday in Los Angeles (Not Las Vegas as I previously mentioned). The fabulous Carson Kressley of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy was one of the commentators and he's just so hilarious hahahahha!!! Super chinaka ang mga candidates hahahhaa!
This year's Miss Universe is such a waste. So many beautiful candidates, but the hosts and the show itself were boring, uneventful even. Sobrang halatang hindi pinaggastusan at hindi pinaghandaan. The production numbers were hohum. The judges were like huh?!?! Saan nila pinagpupulot 'yun?!?! They don't have credibility. Nanalo lang ng The Apprentice nag-judge na. Briefcase model lang ng Deal or No Deal nag-judge na. Anobear.
The top 20 candidates were all beautiful unlike the other year during Miss Australia Jennifer Hawkins' year na puro deformed ang mukha ng mga kalaban niya hahahaha!! I'm so mean!!! Surprisingly, Miss Indonesia, who was a favorite, was not part of the top 20. The perennial finalist Miss Venezuela wasn't included, too. I think unforgiveable sa kanila 'yun. Miss Universe is a religion in Venezuela as in most Latin America countries hahahahah!! What a shame because top 20 na nga, hindi pa rin nakasama ang Miss Philippines. And yet she won Miss Photogenic. O say, the power of the Filipino people and online voting talaga hahahaha!
Wala talagang kwenta ang elimination ngayon. After the swimsuit competition, nagtanggal agad ng 10. And then evening gown competition, nagtanggal ng 5. Ni walang interview!!! Argh, hindi sila salang sala, I swear.
And I wasn't happy with the top 5 either. Mas madami pang maganda sa Miss Puerto Rico and Miss Switzerland. Like Miss Trinidad and Tobago, very pretty face and her color is just divine. Miss USA kinda looks like Miss Universe 2004 Jennifer Hawkins and Charlize Theron. I like Miss Paraguay. I super love Miss Japan!!!!!!! Model model ang potah!!!! She was amazing in her swimsuit photo shoot!!! From innocent looking naging animalistic with her curly hair!! And she can speak Japanese, of course, Spanish, French and a little English. I super love her! When she was asked during the final question what part of history would she want to change, she answered the oppression of children and women. Should she have answered Japan's participation in World War II, I think she would have easily bagged the crown. She was first runner up and also Best in National Costume. Miss Puerto Rico's answer was forgettable. Hindi ko na nga matandaan ang question sa kanya. And I don't like her!!! She's statuesque all right, her gown is fabulous, pero parang andaming pinaayos sa fez!!! She doesn't look natural!!! May I faint pa ang drama after she was crowned. Argh. Miss Japan is hot!!!!
