Craig David - Unbelievable |

I'm sure you all have heard the news about a 7 year old Filipino boy raised in Canada who was reprimanded by his school's lunch monitor for his manner of eating. If you haven't yet, click here for the news. Naturally, still being raised a Filipino, the boy would eat using spoon and fork as opposed to the Westernized way of eating which is using only one utensil, more often the fork. Really, how gross is it to watch someone eating with both spoon and fork? Take the school board to Kamayan, and let's see if they don't puke with utter disgust.
True, when in Rome do as the Romans do, but this is eating for crying out loud. It's a personal thing. It's one's choice to use a spoon anytime he finds it necessary. Try kaya nilang mag-fork habang kumakain ng kanin mga bwakanang syet sila. We use spoon because it is but reasonable and practical for our food. In the same way that you don't eat pasta with a spoon (although some use it to support the fork while twirling the pasta). And it's always easier to eat noodles with chopsticks. Kanya-kanyang trip sa pagkain, bakit ba.
Now if the child was eating with his mouth open and chewing for all the cafeteria to hear, that's a different story.
What's funny is that in other news, an American family was banned in a Chinese restaurant for wasting food in an eat-all-you-can buffet. Read the story here. It's only the right thing to do. You gotta learn your lesson, you brats!
