The twink and I applied in this company in Makati last November 24. The company's name is Ask Me Now. I was actually referred by Karen to her former co-worker in Convergys who works there now. As per Karen's former co-worker, sobrang petiks sa Ask Me Now. It's US based, and the program goes like this. Customers from all parts of the world would SMS their questions about absolutely anything, and the onine researchers would search for the answers on the web and would reply to the customers with the answers.
The twink and I want a part time job so we decided to give it a shot, but we were so shocked to find out how jologs the office is. As in jologs, walang halong biro. Ahahhahaa. Their waiting area looks like a cafeteria, I swear. May bar something dun tapos may tables na parang sa foodcourt ng mall. Parang gusto na nga nameng magback out when we saw the place pero deadma na kung mataas naman sweldo ahahahaa!!
So we gave our resumes to this receptionist na feeling maganda. She was even flirting with this guy who works there kaya dinedeadma niya lang kame. She just got our resumes and didn't even tell us to sit down first or to wait or whatever. We even heard her say, "Give him a coffee first." pertaining to the guy na nilalandi niya. When we were out of earshot, the twink asked me, "Mali 'yung give him a coffee di'ba?!" To which I replied, "Oo naman noh. Gawin bang count noun ang coffee, leche. Paano niya bibilangin 'yun?!"
And so we were briefed by some team leaders before we took the exam. They gave us hints on how to answer the exam. We would be given 10 questions and have to research the answers on the web. There were 6 easy questions and 4 hard ones. For one to pass, he should have answered 6 correct questions, 4 from the easy questions, 2 from the hard ones. They set our expectations that it's not gonna be easy. All the time I was thinking, how can researching on the web be so hard?! They even gave us an option to take a trial exam first and if we find it hard, we can just come back on some other day when we're ready. They even said that out of the 50 plus applicants they have everyday, only 1 passed their exams last week. Lost talaga ako, I can't imagine what could be so hard in researching on the web.
So there are 2 sets of exams pala. First one was transcription. Ayun, literal na transcription talaga. May recording tapos itatranscribe namen. Second one was the online research thingie na nga. Sample questions for the easy ones are: How many dinosaurs are there in the TV series Dinosaur Tales? Which states in the US follow the Daylight Saving Time? Sample questions for the hard ones are: How do you say "do you like to eat?" in pidgeon talk? How much would it cost you to have a 10 inch cheesecake from The Cheese Factory delivered through FedEx? Hindi naman sa pagmamayabang, pero I was able to answer all the questions in a jiffy. I really don't get what's the fuzz all about. They were so easy to answer. I saw the twink and konti lang ang answers ng loko. I told him to copy from me pero nagbabait baitan ang gago, parang tanga, nakakairita. So ang ending, he wasn't able to answer 5 questions. HR girl told us that we would be informed via text if we passed or what. The twink was so sure that he'd fail. May point nga naman siya. You need 6 correct ones to pass. He answered only 5. Para kasing bobo ahahhaha!! He was actually sad about it so I treated him to Teriyaki Boy to cheer him up. After all, siya naman ang super treat sa'ken the last time we went out.
Ask Me Now texted me last November 28. I was informed that I passed the exams, and that my interview was on the next day, November 29, at 2pm. Knowing that my shift is from 11:30pm to 8:30am, I still confirmed that I will come. So kahit 2 hours lang ang sleep ko, I still went to the interview.
This really cutie HR guy named Myles interviewed me. I swear, ang gwapo niya!!! He looks Japanese, and sobrang lakas ng appeal niya. He wore a tight fitting polo shirt at talagang bakat ang muscles sa chest and arms ahahahahahahay!! Kinikilig ang pepe ko while he was interviewing me ahahahaha!! So the interview went very well kahit super bangag ako. He asked me what questions did I find difficult. I told him honestly that I didn't find them difficult at all. One just needs to use the correct keywords on Google and to know where to look at and of course, common sense.
So to make the long story short, I passed the interview. Kaso one problem lang is I want to work as part time, but what they want is for the company to be assured that ifever they need people on the graveyard shift, part timers would be able to commit. Eh problem siya with me di'ba because mostly, graveyard shift ako in Convergys. But anyway, I was still endorsed to HR, and they'd inform me daw if there's a schedule for the next batch of online researchers, and they'd offer me the job. Oh well, sana maging ok naman siya. I could use the extra cash.
~m-o-o-o-h~ The problem with me is that I easily lose interest in someone. But I don't really consider it a problem. At least I don't desperately gawk on someone like some pathetic hopeless romantic.
But after one week of dating, I lost all interest in Raymond. And this isn't the first time. I also lost interest in Barryafter months of dating him when I realized that our relationship was founded on sex, and it was just impossible for it to go anywhere. I just never thought that Raymond would take it so harshly when he found out that I am no longer interested in dating him. Inaway ako ng bakla. He called me a liar. I said that we can still be friends. He said that all the while sex lang pala ang habol ko sa kanya. That is just so wrong. I was really interested in him at first. I actually liked him, but there's something in him that I just couldn't put my finger on, and it ulimately turned me off. It's something in his attitude. I just don't see him as a prospect partner, and I don't want to waste my time and his by leading him on.
It was really tragic. I don't want to hurt him, but what can I do? Sabi nga ni James Ingram, there's no easy way to break somebody's heart.

And so I did some shopping with Kris, my sister, a while ago. I bought this slightly purple Chuck Taylor. I was eyeing the pink pair kaso wala silang size ko. Grrr. I also bought her brown Havaiannas, Christmas gift ko na sa kanya 'yun. Also bought Victoria's Secret cologne for my mom and a Barbie handbag for Janella, my inaanak. Madami pa kong dapat bilhin, but they have to wait for next week. From Galleria, Kris went to Shangri-La to check out if they have Havaiannas in Rustan's. Tough luck. Then we went to Mega Mall to watch Maxi and to Podium after because Vy said that there are Havaiannas in Gas and Celio. We ate dinner in Checkers and went home just in time for Encantadia na paganda ng paganda sa pagpipinto nitong pagtatapos ahahahhaa! Pero before noon, nakipag-away pa pala ako sa taxi driver who was so antipatiko and maangas sa paghihingi ng dagdag. If only he had said it nicely, I would have given him a tip, pero hindi e, nagmamaangas, ang ending, inaway ko siya, bumaba kame ng sister ko ng taxi dahil hindi ko siya kinaya at nagpara kame ng another taxi along Julia Vargas ahahhahaa!!! ~m-o-o-o-h~
I know that I have previously ranted about Zhang Ziyi playing Sayuri in the film version of Memoirs of A Geisha, and yes, I still don't see her as Sayuri simply because she's as Chinese as Mao Tse Tung for crying out loud. I'm also not excited that Michelle Yeoh is playing Mameha. But I'm willing to overlook all those complaints now that I've seen the trailer. Gawd, ang bongga!! Ang bakla!! Spectacular!!! Now, I'm excited to see it, and it's mainly because of Go Ling. She was so divine! Pagkaganda ng lola!! Hatsumomong Hatsumomo ang putah!!! I swear, love ko na siya!

Once again, masusubukan na naman ang imagination ko. I'm really excited to watch the movie version of Rent. Like The Phantom of the Opera, I wasn't able to watch it on Broadway, but of course, so nagrerely lang ako sa imagination ko when I listen to the soundtrack. I saw excepts of Light My Candle, and presto, it's just exactly how I imagined it, ang galing! Sana ipalabas siya dito agad!
