Recently, our country was once again in the limelight when CNN reported that there are over 20,000 children languishing inside Philippine prison cells, living in the same inhumane conditions that hardened criminals face.
A group of concerned Filipinos decided to do something about it. They started an online petition which they intend to submit to the UHuman Rights Commission, UNICEF, and other similar international agencies who can bear upon our government to immediately stop the practice and alleviate the conditions of our imprisoned children.
I have signed the petition myself, and I encourage you to do the same.
