Ahahahhha!!! I so missed this movie!!! And I couldn't hide my excitement when my sister announced a while ago that she was able to borrow a DVD ahahahhaa!!! I was like 5 or 6 when I first watched it on TV, mga movie night specials dati. How can I ever forget this?
( Here pa! )
But I will always remember this movie for this particular scene.
( Here pa! )
And remember why she had to go to earth?! It's because of this:

While eating dinner a while ago I was able to catch Minsan, Minahal Kita. Gawd, I love this film. I can still remember that I watched it with Ver in the moviehouse. We were, what, 18?!?! Ahahhaa!!! Yeah, at 18, we were already fans of Sharon Cuneta and Pinoy drama movies. How matronic noh?!?! Ahahaha!! Ver has always been my constant companion in watching Tagalog drama flicks. We watched the Mano Po trilogy together. We watched Filipinas. We watched Bulaklak ng Maynila. We watched Death Row. We watched American Adobo. We watched Tatarin. At 'eto ang the best, we watched Sidhi. Ahahahhaa!!! We watched Pops Fernandez decide in confusion whether she should be angry or sad but ending up poker faced anyway. Ahahhaa, kaloka si Pops! And take note, puro last shows lahat 'yan!
Anyway, I really love Minsan, Minahal Kita. Watching it again a while ago, I can't help but notice shades of Closer in this movie. No, iba sila ng story, and most certainly different ang execution, but remove the happy ending, remove the sweet nothing moments, remove the cheesy background music, and what you get is the raw and oftentimes tragic face of love affairs. And Sharon Cuneta may have won grand slam for Madrasta, but I think that she's better here.
Watching it again also made me realized that Angel Aquino is the quintessential supporting actress of big stars in modern times. It used to be Chanda Romero. She was very good here as she was in Bata, Bata Paano Ka Ginawa, Crying Ladies, and Sana Pag-ibig Na. So that's Sharon Cuneta, Vilma Santos, and Nida Blanca. I wonder why she doesn't make anymore movies. A friend of my sister who took up Film in UP Diliman was able to get her star in her movie thesis for free. Bait no?!
Anyway, a funny story connected to Minsan, Minahal Kita. So I was 18, and I loved the movie so much that I literally dragged my first ex-boyfriend, Francis, who was 22 at that time, to watch it again with me ahahahhaha. He isn't really a moviegoer but out of love, he was forced to watch it with me ahahhaha!!! Valentine's pa noon ahahha, how cheap!!! I really wanted him to watch the scene na naglalampungan si Sharon and Richard sa rest house nila sa Tagaytay kase super kilig ako sa scenes na 'yun tapos pinakita na anlaki bigla ng pinayat ni Sharon, but sobrang naiihi na siya so he had to pee, and he missed that scene. So sobrang disappointment ko, I ignored him for the rest of the night, and I didn't even tell him what's the matter kase nahihiya ako. Ahahahha napaka-childish ko and antipatika!

Former co-workers Pat, AJ, and I were supposed to meet up a while ago and hang out here, but haller, nakatulog ako, and I woke up with 2 text messages from AJ asking kung tuloy pa. So obviously hindi natuloy ehehhehe! Sarap kase matulog kanina, super lamig!
