I saw a pirated VCD of Now That I Have You in my aunt's bedroom. I wanted to watch it because I've read that Bea Alonzo's character in the movie works in a call center, and I was curious to see how are they going to portray call center people.
Surpisingly, it's a nice movie, for the lack of a better adjective to use. I'm not really fond of using the word "nice" kase, parang it's so thoughtless. I can't say it's ok lang because it's more than ok, and that's just giving the film its proper credit. I can't say it's good naman because it's nothing new. I'm sick and tired of Jose Javier Reyes' yuppie love stories. Parepareho ng story line, parepareho ang characters. His lead girls are all kikay. I know that he wrote the classic Ora, Plata, Mata, and I liked Live Show, but I don't know why he has to contend himself with brainless lighthearted romantic comedies. Well, not that I'm complaining because I sincerely think that Jessa Zaragoza's Bakit Pa was better and funnier than You've Got Mail ehehehe.
Anyway, aliw ang Now That I Have You. It's your typical pinoy love story pero pinasukan ni Lauren Dyogi ng new elements like those scenes in MRT. Naaliw din ako dun sa rose petal shower in the latter scene. I don't always see her kikay out, and she was natural here, so that's some versatility on her part. And I remember watching her in her soap with Lorna Tolentino and Rica Peralejo, and she was good there. He's one of the better young actors today. His eyes are so expressive. I just wish hindi na siya nagdrudrugs ngayon because according to reliable sources, parati daw nilang nakikita si John Lloyd in Centro in Libis na bangag ever because of party drugs, kaloka! Trivia: we (together with Vy, Gerald, Ver, and Marjo) went to the same high school. I would see him in the campus, and he even dated a classmate way back in highschool. And there's chemistry between Bea and John Lloyd kaya kinilig ako hihihiih. Naloka ako kase biglang nabuhay si Noel Colet ahahhaa. Do you guys remember him? That matinee Idol in the early 90's. Kalokha!! He's stocky now, and I think yummier siya ngayon ahahaha!
Overall, it's a decent feel good movie. Nothing more, nothing less.

I also watched the Thai horror movie, Shutter, with my sisters about 2 days ago. My gad, scary siya. Not The Exorcist kind of scary dahil psychological ang effect sa'ken n'un, but considering that I don't get scared by movies anymore at napatili ako sa kanya ng 4 times, scary na siya.
And I can see why Joy is going gaga over Ananda Everingham. Syet, ang delicious niya!!!! I love the bum look complete with the greasy hair and goatee!!! Panalo!!! Winner!!! Yummy!!! Ahahahhaa!! Pero ang asshole niya in the movie. Serves him right.
A funny thing pa happened last night. Ate Aby, my sister, is one scared freak. As in matatakutin siya talaga. For example, gabi na, as in isang lamp na lang ang naka-on, tapos she's talking on the phone, may ituro ka lang outside the window, as in an innocent "Ano 'yun?" would scare her na ahahaha!! E last night, while she was talking on the phone, 12 midnight na 'yun, biglang nag-brown out. I was in my room, and she was downstairs in the living room. The moment na biglang mawalan ng electricy, she just shrieked the hell out like crazy. Imagine kung gaano kalakas 'yung sigaw niya, narinig ko pa from my room ahahaha! So dineadma ko lang. Tapos nagkakuryente na uli for about 2 seconds and then nagbrown out uli, so parang nagfliflicker lang 'yung lights. Tumili na naman siya ng pagkalakas, and I heard her say, "'Yung Buddah, 'yung Buddah!!!" My gad, super tawa talaga ako ahahahah!!! We have a glow in the dark Buddah in the living room kase so I can just imagine that it was dark tapos 'yung Buddah lang 'yung bright. MWAHAHHAHAHHAA!!! So brown out pa rin. What I did was I opened my door so slowly, went down the stairs so quietly, it was really dark, and I can still hear her talking on the phone, as in super tahimik akong lumapit sa kanya, and I touched her leg. Super sigaw talaga siya as in parang magigiitan ng leeg at super she held my hand so tight, and she was really shaking ahahhahaha!!! I swear tawa ako ng tawa, as in wala ng sound na lumalabas sa'ken sa kakatawa!!!! Just remembering about it, natatawa pa rin talaga ako, super laff trip talaga aahhahahhaa!!!
