Chicane - Don't Give Up (It will always remain a mystery why Chicane had to use Bryan Adams... oh well, it's a nice song nonetheless.) |

I'm soo crazeeeyyyy!!!! I didn't go to work because I'm soooo tired... I didn't sleep for 25 f-ing hours straight. Guess what I did? I finished all the 21 episodes of SATC season 6 including the farewell episode. As in, SATC overload, I swear!!!!! Ahahahaha!!! I cried, I laughed my heart out. I was just lying there, stoned, watching them. I just can't help myself. Season 6 is clearly Charlotte's season. She even had her round-the-clock gay friend!!!! And what, Stanford had to appear for only 3 episodes? I won't fret is she get the Emmy's. She acted her pants out, and she deserves it. Her character had been through a lot this season, and she really worked on it. Miranda was great, too. It's just so sad that SATC had to end. While watching the finale season, you can tell that they can still do so much more with the series, but they chose to end it while they are still on top. Hellleerrrr, who wants to end like Melrose Place?!! Anyway, it was kinda disappointing that their unconventional characters had to be conventional in the end. But I'm not complaining. *sigh* I'm gonna miss the gals... It's been 6 years, and they have become a part of my life. Carrie is, like, my bible. I've been through the same relationships that she's had. I cried my heart out during the 4th season with her "You have to forgive" dialogue with Aidan, and they had to break up after all that. And what would Sex and the City be without Samantha? *sigh* Whenever they would have their lunch out, it feels like I'm almost there with them. Ahahha, it's OA but it's true.

Las von Trier's Dogville is an innovative (I sooo love the apple truck scene) and profound movie with many different interpretations. A great many may find it Anti-American because of the disturbing ending credits sequence. Well, maybe it is, but I really don't care. I never cared much about America, anyway. I still have mixed emotions about the movie, and I don't want to be political as I am not very good at it. In fact, I would like to see myself as apolitical in more ways than one, but I digress. Basically, the movie is about humanity--- and its dehumanization. The movie may be dragging in the early parts, but it does much to build up the mood of vengeance or mercy (which one is it really?). The movie is disturbing (but not as much as disturbing as von Trier's previous movie, Dancer in the Dark) because you'd realize that this is not just about America. It is about all of us. To say that we are evil or selfish or conniving because it is in our nature to survive is not an excuse. In the end, it is not a be-all-end-all situation. We are not dogs. We have the ability to choose. And yet people still die of wars. We only get what we deserve. Excellent work, von Trier!
