Many people remember and will remember the legendary Marlon Brando as Don Vito Corleone in The Godfather series but he will always be that brute in A Streetcar Named Desire for me. The Phantom of the Opera: The Andew Lloyd Webber Musicale. Directed by Joel Schumacher. NOT starring Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford. Is this a BIG joke?!?!
Huhuuhuhuhuh!!!!!!! This is frustrating!!!! I'm so excited to see The Phantom of the Opera!!! I'm sure this is more ambitious and more extravagant than the very much self absorbed Moulin Rouge and more exciting than Chicago but why does it have to be Joel Schumacher?!?!?!?!? God!!!! Why?!?!?!?!? And no Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford?!?!?! I can't say much about the new leads but still.... Crawford IS the phantom and Brightman Is Christine Daae.
Fine. So maybe they are too old for the movie viewing public but so what.
Fine. Maybe Sarah Brightman's Christine Daae is too classical opera for the movie mainstream but so what.
Fine. They're too old. Bring the movie on and let the long wait be over!!!!! But Joel Schumacher? I just can't get over it... *shudders*
