oh well...i'm really bored, so i decided to read some of the RPG communities..i dont know what's sadder, me reading some fake ass entries of middle schoolers pretending to be in high school/college or them actually pretending they're high school/college students.
i'll stop ranting about that though. today i had to add/drop some of my classes. i now have a lab from 7-10 pm next semester in ANALytical chemistry I...how sad :(. it's definately no bueno, but that's how life is. i'll try add dropping into another section of the lab, hopefully it'll be good.
i had a good convo with rikka today at dinner. it was cool, i was just honest at how i felt about her actions of late and it was good. i think we're kinda closer now because of it, so that's definately bueno. i feel sorry for my roomie though, his registration is tomorrow cuz he's a freshman..poor kyle :(. we're going to be suitemates next year, so i dunno who our roommates will be. i think adam is his roommate, but i'm not sure....yup, adam's his roomie.
as i look back on my first year in college, i can definately wish for somethings to turn out differently. here's what i wish i did differently:
WHAT I SHOULD HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY...
first semester -
1) definately made moves on jennifer...since she doesn't read this anyway, it doesn't matter, we're good friends now anywayz
2) not be a total jerk off in genetics..my first upper division class..ugh...oh well, i made an A anywayz
3) went to work more often...i could've gotten more money that way...
4) go to class more often...leave the urge to skip class..evil
5) come into college as chemistry major instead of a molecular biology/chem e duel major
6) not have the drama with beika over officers
7) be more active in FSA asides from filipino cultural night, and well..be more popular so i could've won the election second semester
second semester -
1) make moves on rikka, but meh..i wasn't over jennifer yet anywayz
2) go to class more often...(especially for bio 344 and bio 349..oy vay)
3) make up my damn mind quickly about declaring a major..now i'm chemistry and i will stick with it..
4) avoid the drama with saujan...ugh...(no comment on that)
5) not do stuff well...that's a bit personal..but yeah..i shouldn't of done that
6) make more friends instead of well established ones after first semester
7) not have the drama with biomedical journal club
8) win the election for FSA...
so well..that pretty much gives the list of what i should've done during my first year of college. i have 11 days left, including finals, so that is kinda scary....but oh well. there's still three more years of college left.. :P
hopefully i'll learn..if anyone from high school is reading this, take my advice...if you wanna know more bout college experience, just email me..i have people doing that anyway cause i keep an active journal on the UT website...
actually..i've been focusing on the negative on what i should have done in college..i'll think i'll make a list of what i have accomplished to make myself feel better.. :P
WHAT I DID DO THAT I'M PROUD OF...
first semester -
1) be treasurer of BMJC
2) danced at FCN, learned the dance/step routine for Hex rally (though it was cancelled)
3) made friends with jennifer, malina, tom, and a buncha other people..
4) got an undergraduate research position on my own :P
5) made contacts with professors and administration at the university (for letters of rec)
6) became Texas State Director for National Filipino American Youth Association
7) got inducted into Sigma Xi, International Research Honor Society
8) became scientific journalist and associate editor for the Journal of Young Investigators
second semester -
