This has been a GREAT weekend. I have had so much fun. We bought a new artificial tree yesterday. My ceilings are 12 feet high so I just didn't want to have to try & wrestle with a giant real one. This tree is beautiful. It really looks perfect in that room. We didn't decorate it yet, but it is pre-lit so it was exciting to have it on. I think I'm going to get another one (smaller though) for our master bedroom.
We interviewed some cleaning ladies yesterday. That is going to be a difficult decision. It is really hard for me to let someone into my home. I'm just weird about stuff like that.
Anyway, our party was so much fun. I just sat at the dining room table after everyone left, gazing at dessert trays & espresso cups, & feeling totally grateful. This house would mean nothing without people to fill it.

I NEVER thought I'd ever say this but I HAVE to watch 60 minutes tonight. I just love Bono so much. People criticize him to death, but how many rock star/ celebrities really spend their lives working for starving children? Sure they show up for benefits & glam stuff like that. He sits in hella boring meetings & slings it out with politicians. He has made helping others a priority in his life & he didn't have to. He REALLY didn't have to. He could retreat into his awesome wealth & just come out for the glory & the photo ops. Whatever your concept of God is you would think that He (She, depending on your framework) wants us to help each other.
