Tournament today! We LOST. JV got 3RD place. The thing was RIGGED, I tell you! We played all JV teams and THEY played JV2. But this is OKAY because we played WELL.

Note the change in format. I did it to make my blurty more fall-oriented. *oohs and ahhs*

I took this quiz thing. It was interesting. I didn't know I was scary. Do I scare you and juts not know it? I'm sorry. I'm just misunderstood. *drama*

Because of that STUPID SURVEY to see if I'm suicidal, I was thinking about DEATH. Then I saw this question somewhere. It's very deep, and I want you to answer it.

If you got a letter with the date of your DEATH on it, would you read it?

Ooh...deep. Give me answers, people! I need response!

Everybody's got something to hide, 'cept for me and my monkey.

Geez, it's been a while since I updated. I know your all curious about my interesting life, so I'll give you the overview.

Been practicing volleyball every weekday for two and half hours. It's GREAT. I'm so tremendously glad I picked volleyball over soccer - I have tons of fun. I'm still sticking with my travel team, though, 'cause it's GREAT too. It's just not as serious as I think school is (but I don't really know). I do love soccer, but I love volleyball more, and I don't think that I could play soccer 16 hours a week.

As far as school goes, I've been doing good grades-wise. The High School/Freshman Campus is a million times better than SMS. Not that it's too hard to be better than SMS, but.... I'm in Model UN and Penumbra, two awesome club thingies. You should join Penumbra, but not Model UN, because that means I have a less chance of making it to be able to go on the trip to D.C. But if you really wanna join, I can't stop you.

OH YEAH. We had our first volleyball game yesterday, and we kicked some Sachem derriere! Yeah SHS JV9! Aaaaaaaand I started *pats self on back* I don't think that really means I better or anything - she wanted to make the teams even - but I'm choosing to think that, so there.

Sports Updates:
Arsenal: 4-1 (First place - OH yeah - Man U comin up)
Giants: 1-1 (I hate cowboys)
Jets: 0-2 (Yesh...Jet's are goin down...)
Shooting Stars: 0-0-2 (still undefeated! Let's keep it up!)
SHS JV9: 1-0 (one down, a lot to go)

GEEZ! I just stapled my sock to the floor somehow! No joke! I gotta go fix it!

Consider yourselves updated.

Hi. You know, I don't know why I'm writing now. I don't even feel inspired. I guess it's becoming a habit. I picked up the habit pretty quick; I've only had this thing for about a week.

I wonder if this thing will help my evil WRITER'S BLOCK. I've got to write this thing to stop you from getting writer's block in creative writing, and it's GIVING ME writer's block. Oh, the irony.

Well, I can't think of anything to keep people reading, so I guess I'll just stop before I kill someone of boredom. Not that anyone reads this, or very few people, at least. And those few people are VERY COOL.

Leave me love!

Woah...I just realized that real people are commenting my thingie! Wow! People are interested in my life! *is amazed* Keep it up! Sprint it in! Don't give up now! I hate exclaimation points! I've used way to many!

I was thinking of the word 'gah' today in s.s. (which is a complete joke. I though it was an A.P class! And here we are watching 'Rudy.' Not to dis that movie or anything. It's a great movie. I love it. And Sean Astin is in it. He's cool cuz he's in LOTR.) Anyway, the word 'gah.' What part of speech is it? I'm terrible at parts of speech. What's the point of knowing the parts of speech, I ask you? So I abandoned that line of thought.
I started thinking - the word 'gah' is British, right? Or at least UK-ish? Cuz UK-ish people always say it. Scrooge (that mean guy in a Christmas Carol) always says it. Anyway, UK-ish or not, it's a cool word. It's especially cool if you lift your arm up in a sorta 'I don't care' gesture and scoff. VERY cool and VERY UK-ish.

This thing is fun to write in. Is it normal to like writing in a thing like this? What IS a thing like this, exactly? Do you call it a blurty or a livejournal or a blog? Sorry, I'm not very up on the whole computer lingo thing. I'm out of the circle. As much as I try to break into the circle, the circle is tight and strong, and people inside don't want to let other people in because they get good money for teaching the people on the outside of the circle barely anything about the inside, when really the big and important secrets are on the inside. Which leaves me with the question: How do people GET on the inside. I'll have to ponder that and get back to you. Any feedback on that topic would be nice.

Ooooh...in volleyball today we scrimmaged the guys! It was great, even though they were all about a foot taller and didn't need to jump to spike or block. And they didn't seem like they were trying very hard on their serves. And we kinda were. Oh well, it was still fun. I tipped it over some guy I don't know's block at setter and he had to do push-ups. It was cool.

I'm really tired. I know it's early, but it's also Monday. Maybe I should just go to sleep. Or have some coffee. I've never really had coffee. I had it once but I put salt in it by accident and it kinda ruined the taste. And the second time they didn't put vanilla in it and it was just black coffee. Gross. Hey, third time's the charm.

Ok...that's all for now, folks. Wasn't that quote funny? Harry Potter fans will probably think so. Yeah. Cya.

So. The weekend's over. *cries* First weekend of school. It was a good one. It was too short! I'm not ready to go back!

Saturday: Volleyball tournament against Sachem and other Smithtown team. ALL of them were JV! And we fit right in! How cool. After that, I went to my grandma's house and she gave we some old books which were AWESOME. They're all over 100 years old. One's about ANTHROPOLOGY and I could talk about it for a long time but you'd get bored and tell me to shut up, so I'll keep my ranting to myself.

Sunday: Soccer game vs. Cold Spring Harbor. We tied! How did that happen, I ask you! We were definitely better, in my opinion. I played goalie *gasp* in the first half, and let up the goal. *cringe* That one wasn't exaclty my fault, cuz I was SCREENED by my own peoples. They got another OPPOURTUNITY and missed, but if they had scored it would have been my fault. But they DIDN'T score. *relief*

Then, when I was in the field, *more relief* we scored. We dominated the rest of the game, but ended up in a 1-1 tie. *sigh* Oh well. They (CSH) got 2nd place in Division 2 last season, and we just moved into it, so if that's what the competition will be like for the season, I think we're in good shape. *even more relief*

After the game, me, Heather, Danielle (both soccer ppl) and Heather's bf Matt, (who just found out was in my English class) went to Friendly's. I got milk and pizza and mint chocolate chip monster stuff. It was GOOD. We also had to sing Happy Birthday to a random kid who was turning four/turned four.

Later, I went to Brady Park with Heather in the afternoon cuz our brotheral units were playing hockey there. I ALMOST had soda, but held myself back. It took A LOT of self-contol/restraint/whatever, but I managed to make due with just water. Then we played volleyball with some oldish (20+) people. One of them was named Dave/David, and it was his birthday. We and Heather ROCKED the court/sand pit/thing. It was cool!

Well, that was my weekend. Tomorrow's school. Shucks. Cya there.

I'm feeling nerdy. What else is new.
I was just wondering (if anyone actually reads this that has a blurty)...how do you add friends? Everytime I try to it says I have to log in and I already am.
I was also wondering if you can put people's blurty names into the entries with that little head thing and a link to their blurty. It's cool when people do it on LiveJournal. If anyone knows how to, then tell me!

Music:Busted - Matchbox Twenty

I have shingles, everyone. This is the topic of the moment. It hurts like perdition. A constant pain. And I don't even know how I got it. Die, shingles, die!

Gah...school started. That depresses me! *note the smiley thing* I highly dislike school. Oh well...nothing I can do about it.

Should I give my teacher/class first impressions? I think I shall.
AP World History/Anderson: She's too nice. I already don't like her. She should be putting the fear of God into us, and she's not. Plus, we spend half the time talking about what history is. How boring can you get? Not much. And she gave us a cardboardy paper thing on which we have to write random things about ourselves on. Not fun.

English H/Cocoran: He seems kinda nice, but I tihnk the class will be really hard. He read us a story about a guy who stuffed frogs for a living. It ended with the guy being stuffed by frogs. They stuffed him with seaweed and sewed him up. It was weird.

French/Caronia: Waaaaaaaay too nice. She's really quiet, too. When people talk too loud she says, "please quiet down children" like she's talking to 4/5 year olds instead of 14/15 year olds. Plus she had a huge stain on her shirt. And she's going to make us write flash cards. Flash cards are the devil.

Science/Majuk: She looks, talks like, and acts like Laverne from 'Laverne and Shirley.' I am NOT joking. The resemblence is SCARY. She seems nice enough, I guess. Science is possibly the most boring class in the world, and two periods of it is cruel and state-mandated punishment. She says she's going to make it 'interesting.' We'll see.

Gym/Naughton: She's too in shape for my liking. I think she's going to make us actually do things in gym. Like run the mile. Oh, I miss Mrs. Antoinetti already.

Math AB/Foranzo: My class is with all 10th grader, except for a few people. At first I was a little...well...you now. But after he started talking, he seemed kinda cool. I like him. Plus, being a 9th grader in a practically all 10th grade class enhances my nerd status and makes me look smart.

Creative Writing/Gunsel: Now here's a class that I'll like. We get to spend it on computers typing/writing/whatevering or around a table discussing our typing/writing/whatevering. And Gunsel seems cool. Too bad it's only one semester.

Lunch: Ahh, lunch. The one period I look forward to every year. A place that I am sure of, relieved for, and fufilled in. In each school, the cafeteria is my home, my safehouse. I can eat, talk, and pretty much do whatever I want. And no annoying teachers breathing down my neck (except that weird lady from 8th grade...). *sigh*

Orchestra/Davis: Now, I know that people say all these great things about her, and from what little talking I've done with her, she does seem nice. But at the end of the period, I felt like I'd brought my hopes too high. Sure, she's nice enough, but she's not that great. And we start playing tomorrow(?!?). I'll have to wait and see if she's all she's cracked up to be.

Well, that's my day. It was altogether uneventful, but I fugure I'll want to look back on this at the end of the year and see if my first impressions were right. What did any of you think of your teachers? I want to know. So tell me. I'm gonna go writhe in pain (yes, I pity myself.). See you all later. *waves*
