Saturday is Heather's birthday, so her mom treated us to Tea this afternoon. It was so cute! Little tea sandwiches and real tea and crumpets and scones. And it was so good! The Tea-boy was cute too, all handsome and none-such. But he smoked. You could tell. Big turn off. But the food was good. And it was fun dressing up and sticking my pinkie finger out. :-) ------ Pig dissection update: everything is dissected, minus the extra-credit brain, and the day after tomorrow we test. If only we could get those darned arteries and veins sorted out. ------ English project: I need a song, a not-so-well-known song, that is meaningful and meant something to me during high school. why me? And the baby fell asleep 30 minutes after her parents left. And Michael soon followed suit about an hour later. It was wonderful. $20 to watch television. ------ Today I am going shopping -finally- to get a few things. I am gonna get the new Rooney CD (that came out on Tuesday! Whoohoo!), and I am going to try to convince my mom to let me get a graduation dress ("o Meredith, that blue one you wore to Gina's wedding shower is fine enough. Wear that" "Mother... it's a freaking sundress. I can't wear that to graduation!!!" "Sure you can. And you will"). And who knows, I might also get some more clothes. (the Buffy Musical Soundtrack) ] Ok - time for another round of "What Meredith Thought of Tuesday Night Finales" JAG - why did Mac kiss Webb?!!! Harm was standing right there!!!!!!!!!! Buffy - many many thoughts. I shall make a list. ~ Anya died (that was expected; it was a well known fact that she had no plans to continue guest starring or her own show after the finale) ~ Spike died or turned to dust or whatever while saving the world with an amulet (that he got from Angel; speaking of which, Spike was contracted to star in the next season of Angel) ~ Buffy sent Angel back to LA ~ Buffy told Spike that she loved him (note: AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whahoo!!!!!!! Spuffyness wins!!!!!!!!) ~ Buffy/Dawn/Giles/ Wood/Xander/Willow/Kennedy/ Andrew/other random SITs - all lived ~ Sunnydale no longer exists ~ Willow is now a goddess ~ All the SITs are now slayers, there are a million slayers all over the world now (dude that baseball girl was adorable!) ~ Special FX were kinda cheesy; like when Buffy was running ontop of the buildings ~ Humor was great! I loved the Angel drawing on Spike's punching bag, the "Dawson" comment, and the shopping/shoe conversation All in all, I am very sad that Buffy is gone. But I am looking forward to watching Angel from now on (hey, gotta love Spike!) and seeing all the guest appearences. Which I hope there will be a lot of. Like Buffy. I want to see what happens b/w her and Spike. Eh. So Spike is dust and Buffy loves him. Angel lost. Hahahaha serves him right. He should never have left the show and gotten his own show. pain!!! [20 May 2003|07:25pm] [ mood | sore ] [ music | "Beleive" - Cher ] I hate NEEDLES!!!!!!!!! And yet, they insist on giving me another shot. Don't they understand what happens to me when I get shots?? Here's the story: I had to go to the doctor's today to get her to sign my immunization chart to send off to TAMUG. While I was there, she said "we recommend giving the menengitis shot to all those going off to college". I immediatly said "NO!!!!" And then came "Menengitis is considered a STD. You can get it through spit exchange, bodily fluid exchange, and even being near someone who has it. If you plan to have a life and hang out and party, I would get the shot". I said "I don't care. I don't want it." My mother said "Gimme a break. You are perfectly aware that you will be in close contact with some males when you're at TAMUG." Me: "I ... Don't ... Care" Doc: "You should get the shot. If you want to kiss a boy, or go to bed with some one, or do any sexual act, you need this shot" Me: "Since when do I plan on doing anything sexually related in the near future?!" Needless to say, I lost that arguement. They ended up deciding for me... so in the immunization room, preparing for the shot, the nurse says to me: "To protect your future children, please do not become pregnant within the next three months" My reply: "dang, there goes Prom night!" Mom's reply to that: a smack on the leg The rest of the doctor's visit consisted of me crying not breathing and wishing I was anywhere but there. I almost had another freaking anxiety attack. ------ Teffy just called. She said Peter would go to the Prom, if I wanted him too. But our group has issues: ~ there are 19 of us ~ we have reservations for 20 at That's Amore Italian resteraunt ~ 5 have decided they want to take a limo and therefore have split from the group ~ 4 other people are contemplating the same thing ~ Miamo wants to just end the group thing and just the 3 of us go together (me, her, and Jess) ~ Teffy won't leave me ~ I JUST WANT TO GET THERE, HAVE FUN, AND LEAVE!!!!!!!!!! ------ The Buffy finale is in 20 minutes. **sniff sniff** I'll tell you my opinions in a later entry (after I've seen it!). BarBQ chicken (the New York kind!), potatoes, and salad with lots of cucumbers!!! And, to top it off, today was fun too!!!! LoL. I found great joy in my biology project - fetal pig dissection. Ugly-Babe-Wilbur (or whatever name we decided upon) now has a great big slice down her abdomen. Marissa and Heather are my group members. Much fun. We also made a geologic time line in geosystems (that now has its place of glory taped to my bedroom door), and band was good too. I spent half of class (literally) finding parade music for everyone. Calculus - eh. It was calculus. Can't get any better than that. I just finished my government brochure. ------ Today at 2000 is CBF's graduation! Whahoo!! Congratulations!! But dang. A whole month before mine. Oh well. Only 29 days left (including weekends and holidays!). ------ Tonight is the season finale of Everwood. Tomorrow is the series finale of Buffy. Whaaa :-( what am I gonna do with out my two favorite shows in the whole world??? I'm so depressed!!!! ------ Prom dinner plans: 1845 reservation for 20 at That's Amore in Vienna.
