We saw 8 Mile tonight. I'm not really sure what I think of it. The music was good, but the plot was, well... what the fuck was the plot? The ending was rather disappointing, too. No real resolution to the (vague) story was made. But it was still a decent show. Eminem has grown leaps and bounds as a songwriter and an actor, and that's probably the only thing to save this movie. When his first single came on the scene, I immediately put him in the one-hit wonder category, but he's proved me wrong over and over again. And I think a large portion of that is that he's evolved. Listening to "Lose Yourself" next to "My Name Is" is like comparing Bill Hicks to Lucille Ball.
