awakeHow sad is that...I am excited about going to work. I don't work that much since I am a stay at home mom this time...so when the library called today & asked me to work in the Children's Room tonight & tomorrow night from 5-9...I gladly agreed! It's $$$...but it gets me out of the house & to see other people!!!!!!!!!! :)
excitedIt's a snowy Monday again...but I am glad that there IS school & not even a delay! Woo hoo...it'll just be Anna & I home today!! :)
Other than it being a frigid cold weekend...it was a good one. The Pats did win even though it was close! Boy all these games were pretty close. I mean the Panthers won in overtime & so did the Eagles yesterday. Yes...it the Patriots will be playing the Colts next Sunday. Now since the Packers are out of it...I am routing for the Patriots (of course) & Carolina too.
Saturday morning because of the cold...my parents water pipes froze over in the in-law apartment. So Todd worked on that all day & by the afternoon the water came back on!
Yesterday we spent cleaning all morning...so that way in the afternoon we could watch more football...while Anna took her nap.
Then around 5:00 I went to get Evan at his father's & we were off to Life Mass. Life Mass for anyone who is interested is a LIFETEEN mass for teens. It's origin is in Mesa, AZ. It's a great mass for teens & adults that like contemporary christian music. It's a great mass. Plus last night...Fr. Marc introduced his new associate pastor, Fr. Scott. I couldn't beleive my eyes though. Ok...now I feel old. The priest was someone that I did his confirmation retreat years ago. I used to be a Youth Minister when I was first out of college & he was one of the kids in my Youth Group. Wow!
I am going to spend the morning catching up w/all my friends!!

excitedFirst I did get to go see Joe Lieberman!! :) To be honest...I was expecting a bigger crowd but it was just like 30 of us. That was great! I am definitely voting for him! He is great! He has great ideas on taxes & stuff like that. I liked everything he had to say. He is such a down to earth person too...I just liked that about him!
Then I did go to Evening Prayer while Ev was at Religious Ed. It was beautiful as ever. It seems that since I don't get out much lately...that is my only time out. I really enjoy it! Plus the reading during it was one of my favorites here it is...

Then on Hannity & Colmes last night though they were talking about the NH Primary. They said that the polls are showing now that Wesley Clark is in 2nd behind Dean & now in front of Kerry. What about Joe???? Dean being that he's the Governor of VT is too close to NH...that's probably why. Hmmm...it should be interesting. NH is just the 1st primary...I wouldn't say just because Dean wins here that he will get the nomination. I hope Joe will do well in other states.
contemplativeToday is a much better day today...even though it's freezing cold! It's only 15 degrees. Things are better w/my mom. I guess I just have to learn to pick everything away immediately. That should be my new years resolution. I just sometimes need to vent because I am an adult & I should be able to live the way I want to live in my own house.
Guess what? I am so excited...I am going to see Joe Lieberman today at 2:30. He is coming to Nashua & I am going!! :) I've been dying to see & hear him & this is my chance! The primary is getting so close...even though it seems like everyone is endorcing Howard Dean...Joe might still have a chance.
Then tonight it's back to Confirmation Class for Evan & while he's there I go to Evening Prayer & then to the store to do some shopping. I'm really looking forward to going to Evening Prayer again...I haven't been since the beginning of December! Of course Evan is NOT thrilled about going tonight. It's like pulling teeth to get him to go. I want him to make his Confirmation...but I don't think I should really push him either though. We'll see...

How sad is this that I forgot that it was Epiphany Sunday! I just wasn't into Christmas this year. I mean for me to be taking the tree & decorations down on New Years Eve...isn't like me!
I went to mass today & got there just before the bell rang & mass started. I sat in the back row. I feel so out of place at St. Kathryn's. That used to be home to me & it really depresses me that it doesn't feel like home anymore. I am so sick of Fr. Gary & his clique. I know priests are human too...but when he is up on the altar...he shouldn't have his "favorites" or at least shouldn't show it.
Enough about that! I am so happy that the Tennessee Titans won last night along w/the Carolina Panthers!! I wonder who will win today's games? I wonder who the Patriots will play next week?!
Oh no...I've been waiting for Monday to come for everyone to go back to work & school but guess what? We are getting a storm that might delay or cancel school. :( If it's icy...Mom won't go to work & that means another day w/her home too. I am going to pull my hair out if that happens. Don't get me wrong I love my Mom...but w/her & my dad living in an in-law apartment next door...we have no privacy when they are home.
I find myself not being able to say "Is it Monday yet?" That's because Todd is home & Evan will also be home tomorrow. Don't get me wrong...I love Todd...but Anna & I are used to a routine & on the weekends it gets all off. Now that he is off all week...we are really going to be off.
I am very thankful to Mom & Dad for watching Anna while Todd & I were able to go to the 10:30 mass. It was really nice. The mass was beautiful!
It was also a weekend of football. The Patriots won again & they get the got the bye weekend & homefield advantage! Plus I am so excited...I played "Yahoo! Fantasy Football" this year for the first time & one of my teams...I came in 1st place!! :) That's not bad since it was my 1st year playing! Plus I did it because it was free!
Guess what? I am getting a cough & cold. :( Oh no...I can't be sick for Christmas! I just have to keep up w/my medicine & I will be all set.
This morning we are going down w/Anna to Todd's mother's house. We are taking her out to breakfast...because Anna & I can't go in the house. Todd's brother lives there & is a heavy smoker & I don't have good lungs...I would be wheezing in 2 minutes if I went in. Plus just Todd being in there...has already started bothering Anna.
I will be back on-line this afternoon...to check up on all my FRIENDS!! I am so thankful for all of you!!
I can't believe that Christmas is next week already. For some reason...this Christmas season has just flown by. :( I usually love the time up to Christmas...but I guess I didn't realize how close it really is.
That's probably because I didn't go to church this past weekend. It was the weirdest thing that because of the snow...I knew that I couldn't go on Sunday...so I tried to go on Saturday night. I went to IC & when I got there...I just sat in the parking lot. I was like paralyzed & just couldn't go in. How sad is that! I mean church should make you feel good...but I felt so alone waiting in my van debating on whether to go in or not.
Of course it didn't help that my parents thought I was crazy to leave Todd & Anna home to go to mass on a Saturday. Plus Todd even made me feel guilty too...but he says he was just kidding.
I haven't been to church as much as I usually do this Advent & that's probably why I am shocked that Christmas is next week!
Enough venting about church...
depressedDon't get me wrong...I love my son Evan very much...but on the weekends that he is at his father's...it's nice & relaxing. It's tougher than I thought it was going to be raising a 15 year old & a 16 month old. I can't blame Evan to want to listen to music loud...it's only natural...but when Anna has to have a nap...it needs to be quiet. I get so torn sometimes.
Tomorrow is going to be a great day! It's the 3rd Sunday at Advent...It's an afternoon of football...there is a nor' easter coming & the season finale of "Survivor" is on. Boy I hope it will be Sandra or even Lil!! We'll see!!!

Last night Burton was voted off again...but it should've been Jon. He has been driving me crazy from the beginning but then when he lied to everyone about his grandmother dying...that was the final straw. He is a jerk! Now with out Burton...he will not even make it to the final three. I hope! I'd love to see any of the 3 women win it. Any ideas? It should make for an awesome season finale!!
happyLast night I slept the best that I have in a LONG time! I shut the baby monitor off & boy did I sleep!!
Tonight I have to work at the library in Technical Services though opening boxes. Then starting next week...I guess I will be back working in the Children's Room on Tuesday nights again. I hate working in the Children's Room...but at least it's going to get me out of the house & give me some $$!
awakeYes...today is Fr. Gary's 10 year anniversary at St. K's!! I am so thankful for that. He has taught me so much about my Catholic faith. I mean I have actively been going since I made my confirmation back in 1982...but I never really learned as much as I have since I've gotten to know Fr. Gary! He is a great teacher!! He has done a lot for me though!
thankfulThe mass at St. Kathryn's was absolutely so BEAUTIFUL tonight! I walked in w/the McGrannahan's & sat w/them. Of course I was disappointed because they sat on the side that Deacon Bob does for Communion. All Marian songs were sung tonight...even started w/Vince's "Ave Maria". I mean there was tons of incense too...which I really love!
During the Eucharistic Prayer I got very emotional & sad...because I wasn't at IC w/Michele. Michele is my best friend. Last year she was there for me when I couldn't receive Eucharist for a year until I had my marriage blessed. Now that I could receive again...Michele wasn't there w/me & was at IC! I miss all my friends at IC though!! As much as I love Fr. Gary...I miss Fr. Marc & my friends at IC!! :(
