Field trip tomorow, wohoo! Camp was fairly uneventful yesterday; the board games were a hit, but still not all that interesting. This morning I woke up at 5:45 and some how had the will power to not hit my snooze button at all. I got up and ran to the rec. From my house I went down to campus dr to get to the rec, and the hill that starts a little bit past Publix about killed me. I did make it up the hill, but had to walk some after that. It was about a mile before I had to walk, but then I made it to the parking lot of the rec and walked around to the door from there. Once I got to the rec I did arm stuff and ab stuff, and then headed back to the house. This time I took a different route; I walked up the hill to university and then ran back to the house. So I ran from Warren's tire to my house and according to my odometer it's like 1.7 miles, so eh. Round trip it was about 4 miles, I ran about 3 of them. Still not good, but not awful either. Work today was good, a little stressful but good overall. During Bible we were talking about Saul and his conversion on the road to Damascus. My co counselor was doing the lesson, now I know I have a slight southern accent...but I don't say night and light with a drawl. Anyway it was a bright light that came down to blind Saul, and I couldn't help but laugh on the inside and think of a bright white light in the night when she said it. We did crafts after lunch which was the stressful part of the day because the guy counselors don't help with crafts...because they're guys. The craft wasn't extremely difficult, but could be slightly confusing for the kids, so that took a while. We watched the incredibles after snack, which is a great movie and then I came home. I haven't done much of anything since I've been home, and now I'm going to bed. Hopefully I will get some sort of running in before I have to be at work at 8ish to head out to Visionland. |
