Still getting bitten
Camp was fun today, as usual. We started off playing kickball (kick pen if you're from Northport) and that was fun for a while. Then the kids played capture the flag, which is pretty much the most boring game in the world. I did get to read some kinematics while they played though, so that was good. The fire truck came out and hosed the kids off for water day. I also got soaked and tackled into the little pool at the bottom of our blow up slide...it was fun. We played some peg the kids after that (dodge ball) that is always great...throwing balls at the kids, and not getting in trouble for it. Anyway, the rest of the day went smoothly. Nothing major happened, I put a few kids in the office, but other than that no major problems today.
I'm going home in the morning for father's day AND I will apparently be meeting my long lost aunt and tons of other folks. Her daughters (I think there are two) and maybe their husbands, and like 5 grandchildren are coming. Now since granny died in September the family has pretty much been me, the parentals and the kids . Michael too, i guess but he's not really around, so eh. Anyway, I don't know about all this having a big family thing. I've never had a big family before and apparently these folks are chatty, so who knows how it will go. I'm sure there will be lots of food though, and I haven't seen the kids in a while so that's always good. |
