Winding Down Procrastination is a great thing. I had two projects due in my UH 300 class today, and I started them last night around 9:45. Now, this isn't the hardest class in the world, and my teacher is freakin' awesome but still. The first project was a major purchase, so I purchased med school...it was depressing. Basically all I could say is med school costs a lot and the only way I can afford it is through loans. I actually called my mother to ask if she had any other suggestions for what I could say. She had a great answer, we just don't think about. Well, that's great, my mother has faith that it'll be provided if I get in, but would rather just not think about. Since that wouldn't really go over well with my teacher, who is a financial planner, I opted for the scholarships and loan angle. The second project was to set goals for the rest of our life. This wasn't too bad, and didn't take to long. I had both projects finished up around 1am and then headed off to bed. I was SO excited this morning when someone started weed eating next door at 8 am. Now, I am a morning person and was kind of awake already, but that is not the point. Anyway, I got up around 8 instead of the intended 8:30 thanks to the weed eater. Our teacher was going to have pizza for us in class today so I decided to make an eclair too. I got up, got the pastry part in the oven; went to the store while it was baking to get the stuff for the chocolate and filling, and then made that when I got back. Rach showed up to go to special olympics around 9:30ish since we were suppose to leave at 9:50. I got her to make the chocolate part so I could take a quick shower. Everything got done, and we only left a few minutes late. Bob went with us to special olympics, it was a lot of fun and of course we were given free food because we were already getting pizza for lunch. I made it back in time to print out my projects and then Rach and I walked to class. The eclair was a hit, and class ended around 2ish. Our teacher stopped and talked to us after class, I absolutely love her! She is your typical southern woman, and that class was so much fun because of her. I recommend UH 300, finding financial freedom to anyone. After class, Rach and I sat on the porch procrastinating because it was so gorgeous outside. I watered the flowers and filled the hummingbird feeders. Then I finally did some work and finished my part of the presentation Tyler and I have to do tomorrow. SO, now I'm just chillin' until the Circle K "meeting" at Wings tonight. I was drawn for win the club board's money last week, but only got to do 2.5 hours so I probably lost...sad day. Anyway, I am excited this semester is winding down, I will be officially done by Wed. of next week. Then on Saturday I start summer lab...where I will surely die...so that's exciting. I guess that's good for now, I hope everyone else is having a good end of the semester. |
