Long Day Since I didn't post yesterday I guess I will do a quick run down. It was honors day; my parents didn't come up because if they come the kids come and with the MCAT being today we all thought it'd just be best if they didn't. Mom sent flowers and a basket from the kids Friday since they couldn't be here (The flowers are gorgeous). I worked out Friday morning and then got dressed and ready for my tapping at 1. At least it was supposedly at one, it didn't really start until 1:30ish but whatever. The tapping went well, I have initiation for Mortar Board tonight. LeeAnn's parents took us out to lunch/dinner afterwards which was awesome. Then I played a round of spades and went to bed early to get ready for the MCAT. This morning went well; I woke up early and had breakfast...well about 3/4 of a Hardees biscuit. Then LeeAnn and I headed out to take the MCAT. The yard was cut while I was gone, and looks excellent (Yay, thanks to Steven!). The MCAT has come and gone. Wohoo!!! I don't think I can be more extactic that it's over, and hopefully I won't have to take it again in August. Now I just have to go back to thinking about my other classes and passing them. The test wasn't too awful; verbal was harder than expected, physics seemed easier, and biology was about the same. But the important part is that it's over! It was a beautiful day today, sad that I had to spend it inside. I did get to eat lunch outside and spend sometime outside this afternoon. Tonight I went to a band party with Jim, LeeAnn and Pete. I think this is my second official frat party. Nonetheless a good time was had by all, for the most part I think, and it was a good end to a long day of testing. Now I'm going to bed cause I need to sleep off my MCAT celebration and start thinking about my 15 page paper that's due on Tuesday. |

Gorgeous Weather So today has been a relaxing day. I got back from the band party early this morning and probably went to bed at like 2 or 3. I still woke up before 10, of course, because I am cursed with being a morning person but I've learned to deal with it. It would have been a waste to sleep the day away, though. The plan for the day was to buy some flowers and fix the flower beds. I went to Lowe's first but didn't really find anything I wanted there, so I went to Home Depot. I purchased several varieties of plants that will look lovely (all red and white to match the others, ROLL TIDE)! I never did get around to planting them though because I just didn't feel like doing much of anything except sitting in the swing. Basically I spent the rest of the day talking on line and reading on the porch. I took a little nap in the swing, it was great. I even had a parent walk by at one point and tell me that , that looked really comfortable. He was about to say something about me just needing a drink, until he saw my drink in the drink holder, and was like nope, you're all set. Have a mentioned I love my swing and the porch. All you need on in the spring in Alabama is a front porch swing, and a glass of sweet tea (or something a little stronger, but either will do). I did decide today, though, that I need a dog. All these people were out and about with their dogs, and it made me miss mine at home. Now if I were to bring the dogs up here LeeAnn's cats wouldn't last very long. But I think all the roommates would rather have the dogs. Oh well, maybe I'll bring them up this summer after summer lab for a little while. Today was the perfect day to take a dog to the quad. Other than that I have just been lazy and enjoyed every minute of it. Right now I have to go get ready for my Mortar Board initiation at 6:30. Then I actually have to come back to reality and meet Tyler to work on our term paper that's due Tuesday, but where's the fun in that? I might go look at more fish tonight too, since mine keep dying..sad day...I don't understand it. Well, I guess that's all for now. Please comment, I know it's not interesting but I'm sure you can come up with something to say you're all highly educated folks. |
