College Induced ADD
Today I came to the conclusion that college has caused me to have ADD; I was not this way in high school. My stint at the University of Alabama has resulted in me being bored all the time. I only went to one of my four classes today. One was canceled and I just didn't feel the need to go to the other two since I had a test in genetics yesterday and psych is...well...psych. I did go to 445 though and as soon as class started I was consumed by boredom. Text messages and doodling "I'm so bored" in various fonts in the margin of my notes are all that got my through the class. Why? Because college has caused me to develop ADD. I have no scientific proof of this but I think it would be an interesting study to see how many high school overachievers turn into ADD slackers after being in college.
Anyway, for the rest of the day I plan to alternate between procrastination and studying (more procrastinating then studying I'm sure). I'll water the flowers, clean my kitchen newly dirtied by my lovely roommates, and then maybe go get some more fish. Hopefully all of the fish won't die like last time because that would just be sad. For now I'm going to go sit outside on the swing (I love my porch swing). Please comment and play the lyrics game! |
