Heart Like A Wheel It's the last day of the half-term break. I'm feeling relaxed, which makes a pleasant change from the previous month or so. I'm sure that this has something to do with the re-emergence of the sun (as you may remember,
I am powered by the yellow sun).
With that in mind, here's a small discussion of the phrase "There's no need to reinvent the wheel".
A work colleague uses it when he gratefully receives one of my worksheets or presentations. My standard response is "But we can make it rounder this time!" I don't like the phrase because it implies that what suits one class will perfectly suit another. We may not need to reinvent the wheel but we definitely need different wheels for different situations.
