Words My NaNovel is proving an experience in more ways than one. I am learning from experience how terrible MS Word's internal dictionary is.
The following words are not words, according to Word (listed in chronological order as they appear in my text):
1. Mancunian.
2. Roadworks.
3. Numeracy.
4. Sellotape (OK, I can see the reasoning behind that one).
5. Seater (as in "single-seater").
6. Erm/Er (but those are the most important words in the English language!).
7. Scouse.
8. Steepled.
9. Liverpudlian.
10. Dodgy (I was so offended by that that I added it!).
11. Limescale.
12. Unamused.
13. Plussed (as in "non-plussed").
14. Supremo.
15. Spam (!).
16. Televisual.
17. Windmilling.
18. Coquettishly.
19. Gladrags.
20. Unhelpfully.
21. Tutted.
22. Sourness.
Yeesh. I bet that's not a word, either.
*wink*There is also a host of names, obviously, though that is a strange point in itself. Names like "James", "Martine" and "Billy" go through with no problem but I get called up on "Carly". Odd. Perhaps the biggest crime of all is that it doesn't recognise
Simpsons! Unbelievable!
